On Tuesday US company Tesla Motors lost its libel case against the BBC. The Court of Appeal rejected Tesla's appeal against its libel writ being struck out.

Good.

Stupid Tesla. When it agreed to provide two cars to Top Gear for testing it forfeited any rights in what the programme might report on its cars. All road tests are largely subjective. Especially Top Gear. And with someone like Jeremy Clarkson you KNOW you are not going to get a Good Housekeeping style balanced review :P This just confirms that "common sense" is not in the job descriptions of company senior execs :D

Clarkson is Marmite - you love him or you hate him. If the Tesla execs didn't understand this is what Top Gear is all about then that's their problem. The only things they have achieved with this senseless legal action is to fatten up the lawyers and make their company look juvenile and ridiculous :lmao:

I've seen a lot of the Top Gear episodes on BBC America. If Clarkson doesn't like something, he doesn't like something. I like the segment where they bring in a guest star to drive their moderately price car around their driving course for a lap.
