First of all welcome to GA. As I can see you are not an author, so you can start with reading, that's one option, until you get along with the other. There are lots of Authors and stories, so I can't suggest you to particular one. Before you for deep into the forums, you can use lounge and forum games, chat options, check on Gallary and all. You can use the chat options to talk with others as well as can use PM(personal messenger).

 

If you need help with something you can go to Help and can look at FAQ as well as you can ask for help from any Admin or Moderator of GA. You can find the list in 'More Options' category and just PM them. They will come back to you.
