It changed our perspective on how we viewed ourselves. It's from 50 years ago this past Christmas and for those of us who can actually remember it's initial impact it was special. It really made real that our planet is a finite resource, quite small and precious in the vastness of space.... Former Member Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 I remember. I remember everyone holding our breaths while the capsule was out of radio contact on the dark side of the moon. My Protestant minister father was thrilled that the Astronauts quoted Genesis. Almost all the climate change deniers are old enough to remember seeing the black and white footage too…
