  1. ^^^^ Tim Finally I found someone who thinks the same way that I do. I agree with you that ITFB is brilliant. It's my favorite and by far Dom's best work thus far.
  2. My God, Luc's dream was so vivid and heartbreaking, we could feel his pain. Great job Duncan
  3. Hi Duncan - That's great news. I really don't mind the wait. It means we will enjoy chapter 17 even more.
  4. Just checking in on Duncan. Looks like it's "All Quiet on the Canadian Front" We're still with you Duncan !!!!! I guess it's "All good things to those who wait"
  5. Hi - Just finished reading all the posted chapters. I read one a day for five days. Well, Micah is a thoroughly likeable character as is Joel. I think the author did (or is doing) a great job in getting into the head of a 15 year old. It was rather interesting to see how and why he choose to be mute and how he was percieved by the other characters. I probably have to re-read the chapters. I understand that Micah misses him mom (he mentions it several times) but very little is known about how "special" she was. I just couldn't connect to it. I will re-read to see if I have missed out something on the mother. Oh well, looking forward for more soon. Thank you linxe
  6. I guess I am the only one surprised by this. He seems like a truly decent guy. I wish him all the best. p.s my teenaged fantasies would have been so much better had I known then !!!
  7. As we are heading towards the end of With Trust, Jame is not only becoming interesting and complicated but I am starting to have some sympathy for him. The dancing, the fear of losing his friends, the whole problem with his parents, I am of the opinion that he deserves his own story. What say all of you??
  8. Well, Stupid me. When I joined GA and discovered Dom's stories, I read the discription or synopsis of all of them before choosing which to read first. Somehow, I skipped the discription of ITFB( because there was not one) and began reading the prologue. Fascinated, I kept on reading. It wasn't until chapter 25 that I discovered that it was a sequel to TLW( that was the only description for ITFB). Well, it turned out to be a blessing and a curse. Having read ITFB first, I had a sympathetic opinion of Dennis while reading the TLW. I also remembered being so frustrated by Owen and Aiden's predicament in ITFB. I thought they were an overly-sensitive, over-analytical and mushy gay couple. I couldn't understand why they were like that. Had I read TLW first, I would have been in love with Owen and Aiden like the rest of you guys. Well, I like them now but I still harbor some unpleasant feeling towards them (and I feel bad about it, but I guess that's the curse). Hey, but I love Dennis and Travis. ITFB is still my favorite Dom story. Besides being my favorite because it was the first one I read, I also think it is Dom's finest work as a writer. The way he portrayed the dynamics of travis and Dennis' relationship is mind-blowing. I loved how he got into their heads and enabled us to see their motivations. That Dom choose to use the 3rd person POV added to the appeal. It took me a while to finally start reading WT. I was not encouraged by the description. I wasn't even sure I liked the name Nelson. Well forget that now. It is now my other favorite. But yes, I think there should be a better description of each story in Dom's homepage so that a Newbie would be better informed on these wonderful stories.
  9. I thought it was incredibly sweet what Nelson wrote in his letter to Milo. Don't you guys think so? What an unbelievably romantic story this is turning out to be. I am not usually prone to this, but I had a warm and fuzzy feeling after reading this chapter.
  10. Wow, you're quick. No, it does not work. You're probably better off posting the link. Thanks
  11. When I first saw this, I laughed so hard I knocked my laptop off of my table. Great find Jayne
  12. Yeah ....I am so sorry but I have a preference for non-blonds I tend to sometimes ignore the writer's description of characters and form one with which I am more "sympathetic". Sometimes I do that with the physical description of a setting also. If it inteferes with the story, then I just go with the author's description. I am sure others do that also, right?? Another thing is, I started reading Dom's stories two months ago. ITFB was the first story I read. Then I began reading the others one after the other. I was captivated by Dennis and Travis as characters who were misunderstood; there was so much more to them than what others saw. I see some of that in Milo and Seth. As a result, in my crazy head I attempted to have them all look alike (brown hair, brooding good looks). So here I am forcing my imaginations on you guys. Is this weird?
  13. Could this be Nelson? What do you guys think? All the same Model. Ok I am done for today
  14. MikeL - Yeah I know, but I don't like stout. Also am not too keen on blonds so I picuture all Dom's characters as brunnettes (except for Owen and Rory, I am willing to overlook their blondness) As far as Milo, I think he had "longish" hair. I can't find a good model that looks like my Nelson and Travis ......Someone help !!!!
