That was one poweful chapter! (On many levels) Lots to think about.

I picked chapter 7 to review because there were no other reviews here. But some how I have a blank review there and and this stupid board won't allow anyone more than one review However, this chapter 7 is the most intense chapter so far. Your story is very good and quite captivating. You do need some editing (i.e. missing words, wrong verb tense and such), but the story is engrossing enough to ignore those minor annoyances. I’m hoping the rest of the story is just as good as these 7 chapters have been.

I'm going to confess up front that my chapter 10 review has nothing to do with chapter 10. I just wanted to contact you and say that "Do Over", all three original stories, had a lasting impact on me. By that, I mean if I read or watch something I know how good it is by how often it pops back into my mind over the next few days, weeks, months or years. Your "Do Over" story has repeatedly re-emerged from my subconscious since I first read it, I think back in 2012 or 2011. The reason I brought this up was I just got back from ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ and was floored by the plot mechanism used in the story. I loved the movie and I wish they could make a movie from your series. Sorry for intruding on the reviews of this story; I can’t afford the premium membership that “Do Over” has been moved to.

I just got caught up. Wow a real cliff hanger and it's been a while too. My fingers are getting tired; don't know how much longer I can wait.....

Iarwain, Thanks again for the great story. I love the Sci-Fi here it's fun and imaginative. I just wish the over all story was less G rated, if you know what I mean.

I'm right at the beginning and I'm really having a problem with the story setup. You say the Lieutenant graduate from the Academy and he is 29 years old and a second Lieutenant. That just does not compute. The academy is a college so when you graduate you are usually 21 - 22 yrs old. The basic standard is 2 yrs as 2Lt, 2 Yrs as 1Lt and then captain; that is four years to captain. If you don’t make captain in 4 you are usually asked to leave. If you are a 2cd lieutenant more that 2 years then you've really screwed up bad. If you are still a 2Lt after 7 years the you are on your way out for being passed over for promotion. If I met a 2cd Lieutenant who was 29 I would assume he was first an enlisted who after a few years in went to OTC. There is the very unusual case of an enlisted guy who qualifies to go to the academy. This can take 3 - 4 years – he’d have to get great reviews by his commanding officer. Then he's first got to go to the Academy prep which is a year of training (academic and physical) before he goes to the academy. Then the 4 years of academy life. So If he enlists at 18 by the time he's 21 he's made it to prep then he graduates at 26 still 29 is too old. I'll keep reading a bit to see if the story gels
