    *Yawns!*

"MPD" is now referred to as DID--Disociative Identity Disorder. Even more current then 'Sybil' and 'Three Faces of Eve' is the Book and Television movie "When Rabbit Howls" The telemovie starred Shelly Long. it was the first book written by the personalities rather then the Therapist. An intense and devestating read! It was the first time that the personalities wrote about thier lives and the fear of integrating with the core personality. They equated integration to death. In "When Rabbit Howls" the personalites don't integrate, instead they form agreements as to who will control the body in given situations and they share information instead of blacking out. I have heard experts debate the reality of DID but I did have a client that was diagnoses with it. Among her personailties was a little boy who was psychic--startled the hell out of me the first time she told me stuff about my day that she couldn't have known. Sadly, my client eventually killed herself but she was a fascinating person to know. DID is a fascinating area of psychology as it allows one to explore the way the mind works!

    it's a blog

Great Danes are the sweetest dogs! They have so much personality. (sigh, I miss my Great Dane!) they aer wonderful except if they get too bored; then, they start destroying things. At the size of a great dane, if he chews on your couch--you only have scraps left! Otherwise, the sweetest, most wonderful dog!
  3. Hey Com, I know you are very serious about your privacy and I totally respect that. However, you obviously have an amazing talent for writing. Gone from Daylight is an amazing epic by any standard. so here's my question: Living and working in New York City as I do, I meet/work with /talk with a lot of people in the entertainment industry. I have 'connections' to people at Logo, Q-TV, VH1, Discovery Channel, David Letterman, Jon Stewart, and various publishing companies like Time and various magazines. Now, don't get me wrong, most of these are not friends or close associates, more like clients, but many of them have mentioned being open to ideas. I have wanted to mention your stories--specifically "gone from daylight" but have never been quite sure--what with the privacy issues, and the internet issue, and the youth issues.... How should I go about talking about your work? Would you even be open to discussing it with any of these people, if they were interested? Would turning GFD into a series be something of interest? I don't know that anything would ever come from me talking with any of the people I know; but then 'ya never know!' What are my options and would this be a good thing or would you rather I not mention it to people in the entertainment industry or should I just refer them to your website? Peace, Matthew

    Dom the catnapper

Hey Dom, I just read that the Italian food bible has been traslated into english--first time ever. The english title is "The Silver Spoon." In Italy, EVERY italian kitchen has this book; it is given to every new bride. Worried about her thinking you are insulting her cooking skills? Tell her you wanted to honor her Italian heritage. OR, collect all her recipes and make them into a cook book--telling her 'your cooking is too wonderful to ever be forgotten. This cookbook will be handed down for generation to generation. (Yeah, a little too much, but you get the idea.) OR, give her a gift of a massage or a facial--preferably, both! I think there are a few websites that list recommended places for spa services. Of course, you may need to sample the spa services *before* you purchase a gift certificate! BTW, having been a masage therapist for few years now, I can tell you that some people are uncomfortable with the idea of massage until they experience it--then they love it!! If you think she may fall into that category, give her a facial service. Women *love* facials!! OR, collect old family photos into a beautiful photo ablum. Several years back, my Sister-in-law put together a shadowbox collection of my mom and dad. It had pictures of them as kids, in college, and getting married. They really loved that! Welp, GOOD LUCK!!!! lol Matthew in NYC
  5. COOL! More chapters in Savage Moon! Also, earlier you mentioned more chapters coming on Magic Man--I had given up hope that that story would be continued! That was the first story of yours that I read. I fell in love with it; then, when it sat untouched for so long, I assumed you had moved on. So, I am very excited to read more!!!! Peace, Matthew in NYC
  6. A different vew: Differences in reading a story online , usually written in chapter form, verses buying a book, is the difference between finite and infinite. Online: chapter posting allows the reader to continue the fantasy of the story, never knowing when the story will end. There are infinite possiblities until the next chapter, as well as the author can continue to develop the story. 'Infinite' is a powerful aphrodisiac. When a book is purchased it is finite--no illusion of eternity to keep the reader coming back for more. Yes, one can read and re-read the book; but it will always be x-mount of pages--finite. Peace, Matthew in NYC
  7. This story is amazing! I loved part 11--and every part before it! I loved this story so much that I actual donated money for this site. I am sure writing this has been a lot of work; but the story has impacted me deeply. I can't wait for the next part; to see what happens next to Justin and Taryn!!! Thanks.
