Loving it as usual..

Jon being the link with the boys will draw the boys to him when he gets back to try to compensate for his loss as they will feel it too. It is surprising what kids can sense. I love how roger is letting Jon take the reins and involve the kids. He is not only giving them the feed and help that they need, he is giving them a sense of self worth by being involved in something worthwhile and having a job that pays. Love it!!! Not many get a chance like that these days. With so many losing jobs because of the shitstorm that we are in its good to feel a little normality.

He seems okay, but being prepped for an operation and then having it cancelled four times in a week is so unfair. I worry that unless they act soon then he will be the one that is the emergency. He is literally confined to his room as walking even to the lift makes him black out. Nurses have had to save him more than once. Being all these miles is living hell at the moment, I just want to be there for him.

I love these two fellas... It would be nice to have a project that turns into a money spinner. Some people just have the ability to spin gold... I once thought writing would do it, but too afraid of rejection to ever put anything out there. Tried one or two but didn't have the courage to try again. thank you

Flaming emergency beds filled overnight so cancelled for third time in one week... if they don't do it soon he'll be the emergency... God I hate hospitals.

I love crab meat... not sure why. Never tried lobster though. Great progress for the hotel and it seems to be growing which is good. If all goes well, today will be the day. My son has the afternoon time slot for the operation so as you can imagine I'm clawing at the walls. Worry worry... I'm 600 miles (maybe exaggerated) away, wishing that I could be closer but with covid even if I was we could not go to the hospital!🤬Only one person is allowed in to see him, even his kids can't.

Loved the chapter, love the story but I know you... there is something brewing underneath the surface. I do agree with the comment above, I love Roger and Jon but there's... I can't explain it. You have me worried that there is a storm coming in his life that Roger is going to have to survive.

By the sounds of it the Lodge is out as on the face of things it does not seem to be able to rake a profit innnnnnn... Mind you I am sure a clever owner could suss out the situation and turn things around. There has to be something that would pull in the trade, or is the area just going to die? You can tell I'm not American we don't have areas that are so seasonal, even the lakes and the fells get business in the winter, clever hotels convert part to a conference centre to pull business trade in. We now know my son is still waiting and it won't happen tomorrow, so that means it is either Friday now or an even longer wait... (****) Just had a video call with him on Whatsapp and while he is smiling you can tell having to take almost thirty pills a day is getting to him.

A Coquina chain? I can see him becoming a hotel chain owner. Glad that he realizes that the other guy was a complete loser and he was lucky to be rid of him. Talk about the cheek of some people! At least if you are going to scam hotel do it with an insect that everywhere has, a roach never misses a beat. 🤣🤣🤣 Just had a chat with a very upset son... Long story short, they had to postpone the operation till later in the week because of bed shortages in ITU. Added to that staff being off and you get todays list being played later in the week.... Excuse the french - f**k f**k f**k!!!! Oh well now it is a waiting game.

Well worth the wait of a busy day in the empire of Kev... If only😂. I think that I'd love one of the rooms especially if it was connected to the smugglers cave. Ooooh just imagine living in the cave where they used to store all of the loot; now we are talking🤪 You could deck it out like it was full of their loot still. That's it, now the hotel's open as them to book me in for an extended stay. After the shitstorm that we have all lived through, I reckon we could all do with at least a long weekend at the hotel. Loving it, but then I would expect nothing less

Now you have me falling in love with the hotel, I love a good smugglers cave and the whole mystery behind the history of an area like that. I remember the first book I read (or at least remember) was an Enid Blyton type book about a cave that was access by the children through the floor of the greenhouse. When they worked their way through it they found old trunk full of Cavalier clothing which had obviously been taken down there to escape the persecution of Oliver Cromwell and the Roundheads. As the book progressed we discovered that no one escaped and the clothes were still there as the original owners had been betrayed by their servants. I think I read that book about 6 times before mum took it back to the library. Wish I could remember what book it was, as I would love to read it again, over the years I am bound to have changed the memories of it. The whole history of smugglers just get my juices flowing... Totally loving the new story.

The contractor sounds like he wants an easy life, send Lawson to the closest large town. Maybe if the contractor thinks he'll lose the work he'll get his finger out and do something. Didn not like his attitude at all, put a stick of dynamite up his arse and maybe he react.

I have missed you my friend!!! Not sure we'll fall in love with Roger like we did Adam but I am willing to give our relationship a try 🥰🥰🤣 Loving the story so far... Always wanted to work in the hotel business, it was the first job that I had after my break down and coming out and I LOVED it... well the owners were a bunch of tossers but the hotel was great (think they are knocking it down now) ... Busy weekend and then have the start of the week off... will try to keep up, but one of my kids is having a heart opp next week and could have to head down south if they need me. Welcome back, we have missed you

I hate it when someone makes me cry... I'm sobbing my heart out here. Wow! What a wonderful chapter, sad but wonderful. I'll always be here for Adam, as long as he needs me... what happened to little Adam and Marie?

Gerry and the five sons all on the board, becoming a family event almost. Good move. Poor Gerry II, I was never in a boarding school but not sure if I could have taken being away from home at that age. Hated that I lost mum, and just hated my father but home is home. I love how Adam has finally admitted that he needed the boys as much as they needed him...

The future is assured now Gerry is on the board... Adam will be happier I think now 'minl me' Gerry ll is attending the Academy... fantastic chapter 🥰

Hail to the hero... Edward was the hero, but only being the man that Adam had taught him to be in all that he ever did with the boys. Nice to see that Edward joins the angels working with Gerry's father in protecting those the boys and and Adam. So sad... but loving this epic story.

That took me back years... We were summoned to the hospital one night and when we got there it was too later, mum was gone. I remember sitting in that chapel, I can honestly say that I had never felt so lonely even though there were so many people with me. I just wish that my mam came to me in my dreams. There was once, but it was only a fleeting dream and someone woke me up. Franz has a future now, just like Gerry. I Gerry's father will ever visit Adam again? After all, Gerry and the country still has needs and Adam may still need guiding. Fantastic chapter.... Hey I was the first... yeehaw!!!!

Oh my .... so glad we have the church of England... its a shame so many people abuse their positions, thank god for people like Adam who are always ready to go into battle for the little man. I guess when the op is complete the priest will be singing soprano.🤣🤣🤣

There is one thing I hate and that is a slime-ball scumbag!!! Neighbour? Yeah right! One that watches a woman die before he will help her!!! Execute the scum. On another rather more pleasant note, loved the wedding. You just know that there is going to be ab heir on the way, one month in paradise; how could there not be? If Marie is over there with Adam and the kids why did he not get her to look at the mother and the boy's leg? Princess Marie treating the boy would have given him bragging status for the rest of his life😁. Mind riding on the shoulders of the father prince, how cool is that?

Its good to see the interaction between Gerry and Adam again... Forget the uncle, you just know that he is going to get his b*****Ks handed to him on a plate by Adam. So looking forward to the wedding, still haven't gotten my invitation mind

Awesome chapter as the world of Adam prepares to expand... You just know things will work out for his family and his country will have multiple golds in the next games...little Marie and Adam just sat and listened in? I can see them becoming the ne Adam and Marie as they grow and carrying on the mission that their parents have in life.... so good... Loving the story and of course still in love with Adam🥰 As for the saying ... "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit" (Aristotle)... Why should the board feel that their girls do not deserve the same education as their sons? It makes sense to have a girls academy! It would mean that the boys have a chance to meet their future while being in the academy/college. It would mean the the girls get their choice, many these days are pushed into marriage by their "elders" and "betters" who have no idea of love. At least Adam and Marie are full of that one important ingredient. With Richard knowing who owns the land there is little stopping the growth that Adam wants, as he knows Adam has the ability to build it of his own and not include it in the confines of the academy processes and procedures. Loving the fact that Richard now knows Adam is the force behind everything and has the means to support the boys that need him. To me that tells him far more than just having the ability to adopt.
