  1. I use my car once or twice a week.... Price of gasoline is immaterial to me... When I need some I fill the tank and pay!
  2. Now I have finished the four chapters but I don-t care for unfinished works.... they leave you suspended in air. are you going to complete soon Pabz
  3. Hi there, I have just read chapter one, it certainly needs going over and quite a lot of correcting. Is English your natural language as you seem to have many errors, however to story line is not too bad for the first chapter, will have a go at the rest and let you know what I think....Have you finished the book yet? Pabz
  4. Sorry to grouse BUT................ I find that I receive "happenings" in my email box which is great, my problem is that I cannot find it... for example this morning I had a message from DARK... Dangerous Impulses ... read it.... (I do wish authors would LINK to their stuff) I have searched for 20 minutes and NO way can I encounter the writing Where has it been hidden.... regards...Pabz
  5. Yeah... I liked that.... I feel that you are a very "natural" guy... Especially living up there in the wilds of Yorkshire and tending to your animals I guess you are a VERY kind person. I wish you lots of luck and happiness... Pabz
  6. I am currently reading and enjoying Mark's Bridgemont series. Almost finished the second book.. What come to my "odd" mind is that there is rather a lot of detailed sex which again brings me to think what a randy lot of sods those seafarers were. Perhaps not actually gay but due to the lack of females they "put it where they could". Never washing, they must have been riddled with disease and stunk to high heaven though this is not mentioned (so far) Ugh, enough to put one off it for life.. However the story is good --- Thanks Mark.
  7. Well I am gay also, always have been always will be.... I read quite a lot now that I am retired and unable to get around thanks to my Osteo-arthritis. Books with gay themes are fine and I do enjoy reading them but I also like other ng fiction too. I see no reason why a gay writer cannot produce a good thriller/mystery without it having to have a sexual trait running though it. Your note has not caused me any offense what so ever
  8. As a reader (not clever enough to write) I prefer to read the WHOLE book and I find it quite infuriating when things come to an "unfinished" end. NOW I have discovered "on hold" and "in process" I only choose COMPLETE. What do other readers think about having to wait for the rest of the story.. Pabz
  9. No sympathy with the randy sod, a few less kids and he would have more money in his pocket.. He needs to learn about contraception
  10. OOOOOOOOH!! tell me where you live and what time you arrive home.... i'll be there.....
  11. How I agree,, so sorry that I moved away from mine......
  12. Well I would like to thank you Q10 for producing Second Shot.... My type of book, good easy reading, perhaps a little too much on the romantic side but never the less it gave me pleasure... Looking forward to reading more of your work..... Sincerely... Paul, aka Pabz
  13. If "ARTISTS?" have to show their unshapely bodies to score "fame", regardless of how they "perform" I am so happy that my TV/Radio has an "OFF" button!!!
  14. I was born in a suburb of Sheffield, Yorkshire, England but then at 5yrs old we moved to a country village of Bamford in Derbyshire, since then I have lived in small market towns, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, Chesterfield, Buxton, Derbyshire and afterwards a small seaside resort in the north part of Mallorca, a Mediterranean Island belonging to Spain and now on the outskirts of a large coastal town, 5 km from the center and almost in the country...on the Costa Blanca of Spain.. Rather makes it sound as though I have been "on the run" I dislike the "hubbub" of the city and prefer a large village or small town. Where I live now is just a little too void of shops and bars and altho not far, I do have to use the car. Saying that, my arthritic joints don't allow me to walk very far... Guess that now at 76yrs old I have finished flitting from pillar to post but who knows?? There are fotos in my gallery of where I live now..
  15. Gosh you should see my scrawl.............................. My father wrote verging on a "Copper Plate" perfectly formed letter.. Ashamed am I..., I blame being left-handed and having to take down notes at high speed in my college days, of my writing. There are times when I can't read my own shopping list! My signature is illegible but the bank pay my cheques.. Most of us are artists, there are so many forms, of which with writing tool I am not.
  16. Sorry Horny I think you misunderstand me.... I am an old gay and been round the block, I found this site quite by accident whilst browsing for reading only last week.. Wow... I really do enjoy the way it is put together and run by a devoted Admin Team and Supported by some good writers... Of course I love to read stories with a gay theme, find the blogs interesting and been into Chat. All I asked was if there were any ng stories on here and if not where could I find some... I don't want to eat steak at each meal that i have! However thanks to the response to my inquiry it seems that I am not unique and some information has come to light...
  17. I am quite aware that this site is for GAY authors.... So far I have read a couple of stories... one of them is yet to be finished..and good The second I am a third into and enjoying that also..... These stories have a GAY theme.... Gay authors do not necessarily have to write gay stories......... Might it be an idea to label which are non-gay...... or could any member give me a link to a similar Site where I could download "ng" reading...?? It would be appreciated..... Pabz

    Born

Thankyou all for your interesting comments PersonallyI consider myself to have been born lucky, certainlyrich in the manner relative to my lifes humble standard and those Ihave around me. Free to have been able to follow the love for my lifetimes career. And being Gay I wouldn't swap. ... Reflectingover all I have done, the way things have turned out and consideringthe tramas I have had to face............NO, I don't think I wouldhave changed anything as things could have been a lot worse...
  19. We are gay because our genes have made us so... therefore don't fight it, you won't win... I tried marriage with a woman. It lasted 16 years and I have two wonderful daughters... so something really good came out of the experience but it ended badly... After a few gay "affairs" I found the right guy.. We are married now and have lived together over 20 years.. Our families are fine with it.... ( they have little choice really, a case of accept or............) Being gay means that we are in the minority although in todays world as more and more well known persons are being open about their gayness I hope that within the next couple of decades we shall become even more accepted. I often wonder what the percentage gay to hetro is and if any of it is hereditary! Sorry that I was born 40 years too soon!...
  20. Weddings are weddings, most of us "get hiched" . May they be happy and stay that way, hope that he doesn't make a muck up of it as his father did. I didn't turn on the TV I was otherwise occupied...
