  1. That's a relief!
  2. You didn't answer my question. ... and bite me.
  3. Jack, you eerily remind me of a friend from school last year. Oddly enough, he is gay as well... you wouldn't happen to drive a Mini Cooper Clubman and be a lit major, would you? hahaha
  4. Sharon, that streak is AWESOME! You should have done the whole lock of hair -- doing that and leaving it at one streak shows a contained wild side, which is very sexy! Zilar, who are you trying to fool? I can see through your lies, you handsome devil you. Still waiting on my friend to post those pictures... the one in question (drunk face) was with a really cute guy who was thoroughly trashed and was tossed out of the bar a few minutes after the picture was taken hahaha.
  5. A lot of the gender things here could easily be explained as simply being the Chinese way. In ancient China (and probably modern China as well), women were always viewed as being unclean and lesser than men. Men were strong and women were weak. Men were bright and women were dark. Men were right and women were wrong. See a pattern here? Having said that, I would say that men would simply allow women to have this ritual and thusly consider it unworthy for themselves, hence no male-male unions. Building on that, men probably would not allow these female unions to adopt male children in an attempt to keep the male spirit "clean". This is all of course speculation based off of a Chinese history class that I had taken almost a couple of years ago. Men >> Women was the going theme in Chinese history.
  6. ... and roasting spits.
  7. Is that your dorm room? The closet looks sorta like closet/dresser combo in my first apartment, cept mine was a brown color. I'm waiting for my Ruben to post the pictures of us a couple other guys from when we went out drinking a couple weeks ago. One of them has me doing a drunk face (I was the DD so I stopped drinking early) and I wanted to make it my facebook picture lmao.
  8. Being gay, my lover would logically be male. As such, it would A LOT easier to connect with him and to understand him. Likewise he wouldn't have a hard time understanding me. The going theme that I've noticed with heterosexual couples is that men complain about not understanding their women and women complain about not understanding their men. In a homosexual relationship, that misunderstanding of each other is taken out of the equation (most of the time, anyway). Though that does present another new problem... who pays for dinner? LOL As far as James' and Kevin's opinions on gay people's personalities... I've seen and heard of both sides of the coin. The gay friends I hung out with last year were of Kevin's variety, while I remember talking with one of them about some of the gay guys he knew around campus who were total bitches. I never met said bitches, but his stories were enough to convince not to seek them out.
  9. StarCraft and War Craft fanboy here I play WC3: TFT every now and then for entertainment. Right now I'm eagerly waiting for SC2 to be released.
  10. Maybe I'm not as old as I thought I was... I can barely remember the days of our old 286. CJ here's something else you can try. Build a second desktop out of spare parts so that if the main one ever goes down you can hot swap the hard drive to get your data. I've got my big beastie here with its 2.1 GHz dual core processor, 500w ps, almost half a terrabyte in hard drive space, 2 GB of ram and a 256 MB 7-series GPU. I want to bump it up to 4 GB and one GB's worth of GPU (either 8800 series or 9600/9800 series nVidia GPU). Anyway, I've built my computer enough times that I can build a whole spare computer to have around in case of emergencies, or to use as an FTP server. All it needs is a GPU (will get my current one when I get the two new cards for SLI) and a hard drive. Just something to consider. I could actually build three desktops and have them all running at the same time I get another case, monitor, and hard drive.
  11. If you can sound feminine and turn most single-syllable words into two-syllable words, then you're golden. I've been told I'm good at that as well haha. I can't help it if I love a proper Southern accent (Charlseton, Georgia, etc.) Ok this thread is cursed... I was about done with my post and then my optical mouse went bat-shit insane and I think it's dead now... using a spare Logitech mouse until I can either fix the old one or get a new one. It had a good run -- about five years.
  12. Over here, we get two days off for Thanksgiving holida (some colleges give three if they have a lot of out-of-state students going home) which makes for a long weekend. Then we have a month-long Winter Break starting in the middle of December and ending in the middle of January. Then we have a week off somewhere in March for Spring Break. I've had three of these so far and none of them have been spent outside the state of New Jersey -- hell none of them have been spent with friends, I usually get ditched such as this past Spring Break where my once-best-friend (thin ice now) asked me to drive him to the Atlantic City Airport so he could fly to Myrtle Beach for a track competition. He wound posting pictures online of him playing volleyball on the beach and partying, asshole. After that, starting around the beginning of May and lasting until the beginning of September (about four months) we have Summer Break. It's not much of a break since I have a lot of 6 am shifts at work... and some 10am - 6:30pm shifts, which shit all over your day.
  13. I've had two.
  14. Copy/Paste the title into a YouTube search. I only watched the A one but I guess they're both recreations of one of those crappy Cruise films where he slides down the hall in his underwear.
  15. There is nothing much I can say beyond agreeing with the idea of talking to him. You don't have to start right off the bat with talking about liking each other, just "Hi," and ask him something random -- perhaps something about one of your classes. Then maybe once you become friends you can come out to him and work your way up from there. By friends of course I mean hanging out with him a couple of times outside of school... not just hanging out during class and showing off your sweaty bodies to each other, though that might be an indicator of some interesting aspects of his personality and such... hehe. I also agree that asking him his orientation is a bad idea if and when you tell him about yours. Give that some time to sink in, though the amount of time is up to you and his reaction to your being bisexual.
  16. If I had to guess, I would say Mario is now dead. No one else in the area should have had a fully-automatic weapon, probably not even the military (who might be landing right in their property -- hehe that would be interesting). I say Mario only because I would imagine that Dimitri would send in Mario first to flush out any traps. He just sounds like that kind of bad guy, willing to sacrifice his own guys and such. Keep the spit rolling -- they're not out of the clear yet. I wonder, if Dimitri and Mario both die would Scar go after them personally? His only other option would be to send a small army after them, which isn't very feasible at this point.
  17. Different story but it had me thinking of this thread. I've taken up reading CJ's "For the Love" while awaiting new installments of LTMP and when he describes the car being driven into the chop shop I was amazed at how Atreyu's When Two Become One conveyed my emotions so perfectly. I later wanted to hunt CJ down and strangle him since he was taking his sweet time in revealing the car's fate. I also thought of Kevvers last night. My sister introduced me to a couple of popular games and I noted that Kevin would absolutely HATE playing Guitar Hero III and Rock Band, simply because you need to listen to the music while playing. If you turn off the sound and just watch the screen you just look and a feel like a tool, lol.
  18. You say that now, but wait until you walk out to your car and the hood turned into a battlefield... grrr.
  19. The only fathomable reason I think of for a bisexual person to come is if they start dating someone of the same gender (yes Kevvers, I read your spiel earlier on that and I while I agree, I also think you need to get out more lol). Think about it -- you're a bisexual guy who is now dating another guy for the first time and you want him to meet your parents. I think it would be rather appropriate then to inform them of those pesky details before coming home and saying, "Parents, this is my new lover Bob." I think they, in some cases, might have a heart attack. On the other hand, if it is apparent that coming out is not advisable, yet you still care for them, then I think it's perfectly fine to hold that side of you aside until you start dating someone who takes advantage of that side. It would just be weird to say to your parents that you're a bisexual guy and then continue to date women -- hell that might even be detrimental to the process of them accepting you and would be devastating when you actually do bring a male lover home and say, "I told you that already!" Just my thoughts as I steal internet access from a hotel other than my own right now, hehe.

    Prom!

I went with a friend of mine... a female friend. Keep in mind this was back when I thought I was bi and was long before I even came out to gay people. Heck I think it preceded my time here at GA... god I feel old now. Anyway, it was a prom -- I purposely went into it with low expectations. It was exciting to ride in a stretch Navigator limo, though haha.
  21. You never know... it might end with a live hand grenade flying towards Eric's head.
  22. Interesting. From the sounds of the first chapter it seems likely that the nukes in the US will not be going off. Scar got his money and will be now begin his takeover of Paraquay, but that does not mean that he won't use one of them if the US tries to come after him. As for the situation with Mario and Dimitri, it seems there will be an intense battle in the next one or two chapters. Jim has them covered and the fact that some of the bikers are ex-military bodes well for the band. The problem will be how quickly they can see the threat coming. There is forty acres of property from which Dimitri and Mario can come at them from and I doubt that this small army can keep an eye on everything. I was actually surprised to see the chapter up, but I guess time flies when you have finals and projects, and then summer "vacation" starts. I use the term vacation loosely because I'll be taking two summer classes and I'll be working. The vacation will be all of the car shows I'm going to plus a week in Key West later this summer
  23. I don't know about you guys, but I like to listen to music while I read stories. Throughout LTMP I was largely listening to the Gorillaz, Linkin Park, and Puscifer, and occasionally the sound track to the Adult Swim show Metalocalypse (band is called Deth Klok). I found the Gorillaz and Linkin Park to be quite suitable during the Instinct storyline, while Puscifer and Deth Klok sounded quite well as theme music for the Scar (and also the Instinct European tour for some odd reason, probably because I was drawing the conclusion then that Jerry and the Scar were same person). How about you guys?
  24. I am not and never will be a vegetarian. I'd say it's about the same, but then again a lot us still eat a different kind of meat (LMFAO). One of my GSA friends is a vegetarian and I saw him a few times a week during this past semester, but not anymore. I might see him one more time this month, but after that he's moving back to CA and I'll no longer know/see any vegetarians regularly. While it could be true that more gay people are vegetarian than straight people, I think that has more to do with other psychological and societal factors not related to sexuality. Gay people tend to be more liberal than straight people (not always, of course) and the case tends to be that more liberal people are vegetarian than conservatives. Still, of my regular GSA group (8-10 people) there is only person I can think (the aforementioned guy who I saw a few times a week) of who is a vegetarian, and even he's thinking of dropping it. One might say that sexuality has an indirect role in deciding vegetarianism, but any case made for that argument would be quite weak.

    IRON MAN

Saw it a few hours ago and loved it. One thing got me curious though... of all of the techno gizmos in his office, home, cars, shop, etc., why did he have a cheap cell phone? When I bought my LG enV it was between that and the one he used... obviously I preferred the enV. At any rate, I cried when he fell on the AC Cobra. I'm sure it was just a replica, but still! I'd rather he fell on the Audi lol. The ending was rather weak and abrupt but I supposed that leaves room for a sequel.
