    Chapter 14

There are rules. You can't interfere in another god's world without bad things happening (wars between pantheons and then we all suffer!). But, she can play within those rules. You get something for passing the challenges of the Misty Woods, so she is allowed to do what she wants with that. And, she can do something before he even enters that world, which she also did.
  2. He is verse. Next chapter finally gets back to him topping.

    Chapter 14

Kitchi led me in a different direction from both the market and Odakota's pe'en hunting area. The edge of the forest in this area was ridiculously thick with trees, shrubs, and bushes, and I had almost stopped noticing that they all looked like male anatomy. Almost. There was only one way to get through, a small clearing in the branches, and there was a sign at the start. There were no pictograms, so I was at a complete loss as to this written language. Come to think of it, how come eve
  4. Thanks! Hopefully it'll tide y'all over. I strongly suspect I won't have much time to write this week, and I've gotten (mostly) over my block on the other story (+2 chapters from what's up on here).
  5. gAI's HUD immediately popped up with an abbreviated list – probably because this was not going to result in a sexual liaison by any stretch of the imagination – but the list had two new entries I had never seen: Name: Steven Beetz Weight: 287 lbs [130 kg] Occupation: Student Ability: Strength Level: Beta-3 Level "Beta-3" … did that mean that I might be almost as strong as him? No, that would be impossible. The only way for him to look more like the Hulk would be if his s
  6. Talk, yes. With words? Maybe ...
  7. A magic dick and booty can only get'cha so far in the world ...
  8. I groaned as my eyes blinked open, a massive headache clearing almost immediately. It took several blinks before I managed to focus on anything. I heard the same moaning and groaning around me and I really wished it was an orgy I was in the middle of, but I knew it wasn't. My classmates and I were in the same seats we were originally, and over the next few minutes everyone appeared to wake up. One or two seats were empty, but I couldn't remember if they were full before. As soon as anyo
  9. And then, the question becomes: Do you try to fight against it? If so, how could you, if those in charge could perhaps alter the minds of the entire population?
  10. I worded my comment carefully. Additionally, there's the whole "cosmic beings" angle, and some other things that I think aren't so subtle hints.
  11. Based on the "Helpful Hal" exposition, that would be incorrect. While there are other countries, they all fall under the same world governing body and military.
  12. Little from column A, little from column B ...
  13. Thanks! The last 18 chapters were all leading up to this and chapter 20, hopefully at least some of it was a twist. Now, we have to see what Shawn is going to do about/against it.
  14. The auditorium was rowdy with several hundred of us having different conversations. About five minutes after the top of the hour, I saw from the corner of my eye a stern looking older man enter the stage, and the room quieted almost immediately. "Welcome to BBC," he announced. "I'm the headmaster of the college, Director Green. I'm here to begin your formal orientation. It's not anything like what you might have heard." As he said that, I saw the hall appear to shimmer, the air mom
  15. If only we might learn more in the next chapter at orientation! Suspense!! 😬
  16. BBC certainly is not Hogwarts, though Voldemorecock might make an appearance.
  17. Okay, well, this was embarrassing. I'd just been called out as a voyeur by gAI, Eitan and Jake were naked or mostly naked and had clearly just had sex, and this was in front of the new guy and his parents. "Everything is normal this is perfectly fine in this world," I silently prayed to whatever might be listening. None of the three newcomers seemed fazed by what they were seeing, and instead the new guy who looked to be our age put his box down on the desk along the wall with the matter
  18. Likely because it's a fairly universal fantasy.
  19. He will. I worked more on that chapter last night.
  20. I wasn't sure what Jake would do, and it was my first attempt at initiating sexual contact on my own in this world. But, I had nothing to worry about: Jake smiled, and he spread his legs more. "Sure!" he replied. Wow. Was it really that easy? I guess it was. Where had this been all my life? I leaned over, tweaked his nipples, and he gasped. I took that moment to slip my tongue in his mouth, which he hungrily sucked on as I reached down to massage his crotch. He inhaled deeply a
  21. I won't say I ever had a fantasy like that in college, but I also won't say I didn't.
  22. I spent the remaining few days much like the past, but also figuring out what I was going to take with me to college. I managed to get another 19 points bringing me right to the threshold for leveling up one of my abilities, though at this point I was thinking that at least these first three were more like "skills" than "abilities." Strength, endurance, or agility … yeah, "skills." I chose to improve my agility again, so I was at 3 for that. I asked gAI what that really meant, and he sai
  23. I'll add: I'm attempting to take a BIT of a hybrid approach between the polar opposites of Azimov and Heinlein. The former used advanced technology as an undercurrent to much of his work, while the latter eschewed more advanced tech – even banning it in some of his works – and focusing instead on social and political themes but using sci-fi as a way to talk about them. Or, what ST:DIS (Star Trek: Discovery) had to do once they got 950 years in their future: The conflicts and season arcs were no longer really about who could overpower who based on technology, it was on more complex ways to tell social and political stories with tech as a backdrop. My concern if I went full-on tech is the same as what I expressed in comments a few chapters ago: I want to avoid a super-powered protagonist because then it just gets boring. In this story, if the tech just did everything, is there even a point to the human element?
  24. Yup! Subtle, I know.
