  1. Oh, I forgot about atmosphere. When writing make sure you get the feelings of both participants (or all them in case you're doing ménage à trois ). Sometimes though the sex can be angry , boring, sad (sentimental) or just emotionless . Depends on what's going on. I'll use my characters for an example. Abigail, my main character has had sex with people he doesn't love so the sex is not mutual because he's not with the person he loves (Azazel). He talks about guilt and wishing he wasn't even there. So if in you story one of the characters isn't feeling it (or both), its good to show that in some way. Rape is another issue--I wouldn't even call that.....well yeah it is, but usually that's violent however it can be used for good........... . I'm telling the truth. Anyways remember the plot as well. If the characters are in love, then the emotion aka atmosphere needs to show that. If its angry sex then show that. Sex is (in my opinion--in literature) a really good way to show just how strong that characters feel for each other. Noble actions and kind words are great, amazing. When you chose to write [about] it (sex) can be really amazing. So there must be emotion, balance and you must take in consideration just what's going on in you characters' minds. Hope this helps
  2. I've been writing sex scenes (originally straight then gay) since I was around eleven or twelve years old and I've learned a lot. So first I'd say to give a balance. Not every time you have you characters have sex does it need to be full blown detail. It also helps to look at what type of story you're doing as well. If it's erotica than yeah you'll need lots of detail, but if you want a more subtle, soft tone then maybe a few times but everything else could be a little more vague. When I mean vague I don't me: We had sex and./or We made love. However remember what I said earlier. You don't need to have a full blown sex scene every time you have you characters have sex. Just have a bit of variety (as in detailed here and then somewhat ambiguous here) is all I'm saying. I don't know why I'm writing this because I used to write a lot of them, but now it takes a lot of will power to even have an idea for a sex scene. I want to do more here and there but not too much because I don't write porn, I write romance. Too much sex can turn your story in a direction you (may or may not) want. You characters might get worn out too, just saying. So be careful.
  3. Thank you
  4. My name is Shalvia Verdell , and don't really have a nickname although my dad calls me "Ceewee" I hate it . He says he's gave me that name because of my grandmother. It may be a shock for my mom, but I am Atheist whether she likes it or not . I can't believe what she wants me to believe. I identify as a male and am planning on transitioning later on in my life. Right now I'm too young and there are too many obstacles in my way. It's my dream to become an author of LGBT literature . I'm so happy I found this site . I can share my passion with others. I like to think of myself as "an open-minded cosmopolitan" meaning I have a love for all cultures . There are many things I don't know and want to learn. I'm always willing to take advice from others and am always happy to give advice to those who seek it. I hope to make tons and tons for friends here and can't wait to leave my legacy in the world.
  5. My parents are strong Christian and do not like homosexuality. I told my dad and he flipped out saying all kind of things. My mom said she loved me but she couldn't agree with my "lifestyle". So you know I can't really get 100% support from them. My advice is to stay true to yourself not matter what happens. There will always be someone there who'll love you and support you. It may take time for family to come to terms...they may never come to terms but that isn't your fault. It's how they were raised and brought up. It has absolutely nothing at all to do with you. If you ever need help there are always resources to go to. Have faith that it'll work out. You'll find a way. I know it. I believe in you, and I'll cheer you on.

  19. I agree with you on the whole roles thing. They're BOTH MEN! You know that's the whole point of being gay. It's not one guy and girl with male bits. TWO MEN!! What also gets me is how some women try to feminize the "bottom" in the relationship. It's like they're trying to lie to themselves. Even though he's got a diddly-doo (don't you love my censorship? is writing genital names allowed? ) doesn't mean it's a gay relationship. There HAS to be a girl in there. <---not my beliefs. I also hate really weird names for genitals, kind of like I just showed you a while ago. You can use it like this for instance: His body trembled like a leaf in a windstorm, he knew that he couldn't hold back anymore. His diddly-doo was too full. I'll add more later.
  20. Before the movies came out, I actually liked the series but now I don't understand what the big whooha is about.
