  1. Wow! Thanks you guys. It's nice to even be mentioned in this forum and to see so much talent out there now. I was saying to Comsie the other day, he and I are both getting old now. I was 18 when I started Storm Front. That was six years ago ... EEK! This is a real burgeoning hmm what's the word, industry? I'm not sure what you'd call it, but it's definitely gotten a lot bigger over the last six years with more people writing and even more people reading. This site is a great way of helping to get exposure for established(old!) and budding (the new blood!) writers out there. I still am not really sure how I came to come across this site but I'm so glad I did. Thanks for your well wishes, and congrats Jevic on taking the plunge. Until next time, as always Peace OUT --Ty
  2. Hey Comsie! I got your email and thought I'd do what you said and come check out your board. Great stuff, great site and as usual, great stories as well. As far as writer's block. It does happen but what I usually do is listen to a song that would set the theme of what I'm trying to achieve. Certain songs evoke certain emotions from me and it sometimes helps. I'll also switch to writing a different story, different genre, get that out of my system and find I come up with a bit more inspiration for my main story. It doesn't happen too often but when it does it can be a real pain. Besides the above, I'll usually just go out, watch a movie, go to the beach, play some sports or something, just generally get out and find that recharges and inspires pretty well. So yeah those are my thoughts on writer's block. Great topic, bud, from one old timer to another, five years and counting for both of us now right? Good on ya bud, -- SFwriter aka Ty
  3. I agree. Being a net author myself, I thrive on feedback. I'll always keep writing anyway but it's inspiring to know that people appreciate what you do. I'm sure most authors can relate. Especially if you enjoy something you read. --Ty
