Yeah, got to say I find this topic really disturbing. I get the whole attraction with perpetually unavailable straight guys but to dedicate an entire thread on how to ensare them is just weird. And a little unhealthy.

See, Elijah's not all bad right? Glad you liked the chapter! I think the other characters considered Elijah kissing Jamie as an 'outing' solely because he drew attention to it--it's like he said, if there's no 'label' you can do what you want, within reason. Kissing Jamie in public gave him that label. Yeah, Elijah's logic is kinda flawed with regards to his and Tom's conversation about kissing guys... He knows that, but he's relying on his belief that people are naturally stupid. And he's not wrong in a way--Tom may not believe him, but he doesn't pick him up on it

Wow, thank you for your review. I know this story (and its protagonist) is a bit intense, so it means a lot that you're enjoying it. I hope I can continue to live up to your expectations It's going to be about a week until the next chapter is out, it's essay season at the minute. But it'll happen.

I was on my way to the swimming pool when someone called my name; I wondered mildly whether I cared enough to turn round. It wasn’t that I was having a bad day, but I was having one of those languorous, slow days, one of those days where I could barely walk for vague, muffled, blanketed sleepiness; one of those days where stringing words together to make a cutting, sly, or sarcastic whole was beyond my mental capacity. I recognised the voice, but I didn’t turn round until he called again.

Hey Lisa, Yeah, I really enjoyed writing the scene between Elijah and Chris in the kitchen. Actually I really enjoyed writing this chapter altogether. Definitely one of my favourites so far. I did wonder whether I'd gotten a little too poetic with the birds outside the window... Apparently not

Despite that the occupant was by no means in need of one, Sophie’s bedroom was equipped with a king sized bed. A whale could have easily drowned in that bed. Gossip Girl!!?? I'm hurt, Nephy Yeah, it was always gonna be touch and go whether I included this chapter at all--figured there's only so much you guys can forgive Elijah, no matter how pretty he is --but if he'd been perfect all along the story'd be pretty dull, right?
