    The Reluctant Consort
    Information for The Reluctant Consort.
This novel is a very long epic with a lot of characters and places to remember. I'm sometimes very afraid that I'm not doing it justice.  Still, I hope it is enjoyable to read.  I have tried to add everything I missed in the reedit, and hope that it all comes together fluidly for you.
Here's is a map a friend was kind enough to draw for me, and while some labels are not entirely accurate, I love it so much that I had to share it here.
    The Empire of Akasha
    - Sun Kingdom - Capital city is Taen - Iron Lands - Capital city is Rotheir - Blood Nation - Capital City is Nivenad ( Notable town is Levan where the Shadow Guard's Quadrum is hidden) - Silver Kingdom - Unofficial Capital city is Vasia Town.  All officials prefer to work in the Capital city Akan Imperial City Akan (Imperial Seat) - The Imperial Palace's home and where to find the Emperor
Please note the empire's boundaries are the thick black border. Purple is for rivers, and lakes, save for Silver Shore where white is for the lake.

Decided to go for a certain wedding, dressed in red. I figure supporting is better than sulking at home like a little child.
This is the point where I discover that I'm a tad masochistic. I had lunch with one of my friends the other day, and we got to talking about how it gets harder to make friends as we grow older. I'm thirty-one right now, and it seems the same circle of four friends I have is the same one I've had forever. In fact, the circle dwindles at times, there are times when I'm closer to one friend more than the others, other times we're all stuck together, but it never goes beyond these four.

So when one of them has suddenly become a source of stress, (see previous post on unrequited love) I feel like I'm losing a vital part of my life. Hence the decision to go to the wedding I wish wasn't happening. I'll smile and laugh and dance...like a fool.
    What does that mean exactly?
My friend says I might get lucky....find my soulmate at the wedding party later. I guess I gotta cast the net wide again.

    Cheers, to all y'all.
Writing takes a break this weekend as I sort through this mess.

There are days, and there are days: Today has been a hard one.

I spend ninety percent of my time working, the other ten percent, is for doing those things that make me happy. A few months ago, I met this guy, and you know how you just click with someone at first meet....that sounds corny...but yes, it happens. There are those people you meet and you just get each other right off. He made it easy to bring down the ninety percent to fifty of work and just spending time out in the air, enjoying life.

As karma would have it, this have-fun-with-life man has a girlfriend. Has been seeing her for months on end, before we ever met. That was hard to discover. There was a short phase of wishing that I had it in me to become the evil witch who would do all that was possible to break them up. Sadly, I don't have it in me, so I've been uber nice to this lady.
Anyway, today I discover they're getting married, and I might have screamed and cried inside, while I wished them well.
It's now back to the ninety percent of work, perhaps even ninety-five percent.

Yeah, the day has been a grinder.
Sharing today, because, well...this just needs sharing and a bottle of Merlot.

I sort of muddle along when it comes to writing, but I have a story that has so many people waiting for it, that I thought it is better to share what my thoughts are. The frustration of waiting to read the next chapter....I understand this very well.
    So...

    For

    Hello, Hello!!!

I feel like jumping up and down, being able to post on GA again, even though it's just a blog post for now. I missed posting on here, writing comes easy, but without sharing the stories, I tell you, it can be a dull world. I've been away, unable to log on to GA for like two months...yes, that is a big deal apparently. I'm glad to be back now. The picture is a treat from yours truly....sunrise at Diani...pretty, right?

Look forward to new chapters all around.

    First blog entry on GA
The year ends tomorrow and 2015 brings changes, some quite unexpected. Hence the blog entry. I love writing here on GA, and often run several stories at the same time. Its a challenge I love and I try to keep updating as often as I can. But the new year brings a change to this.
As work is important to keep life going, I have to place my posting on GA on hold. The company I work for is sending me to an even more remote place. Hehe, several factors will seriously affect my ability to post new chapters. My program will run for six months, so i'll be back in June. Hoping for an earlier date than that, but it will depend on how well our schedules run.
So, for the new year, I wish you all a Happy 2015. I hope it is filled with good fortune. I'll miss GA terribly and will keep writing so that I'll post many chapters when I get back. I ship out tomorrow, so 'till then....be well.
    Love.

So, this is a song that makes my heart ache in that way that makes you nostalgic, and happy too. My happy blog post after my birthday. This year, there was no large celebration, but a gentle day with friends and family. Smiles, encouragement, and even wishes of love and happy birthday from friends and family I hadn’t talked to in so long. It was a nostalgic kind of birthday. So, I dedicate this song to all of them, for making me love them all the more, even when they’re far from me.
(Some lyrics are in the native language, but the music really seeps into the soul all the same )

    “One Ok Rock's Heartache Lyrics”

    So they say that time
    Takes away the pain
    But I’m still the same
    And they say that I
    Will find another you
    That can’t be true

    Why didn’t I realize?
    Why did I tell lies?
Yeah I wish that I could do it again
    Turnin’ back the time
Back when you were mine (all mine)

Lately, I've thought a lot about meal times, not because of the food, but about who is sitting at the table with me for the meal. Most times when I write characters, I find it lonely to write them eating food alone at the dining table. It's sort of sad to spend time in the kitchen cooking, and then lay it out on the table and have only one food setting.

The other day, I spent the day out in the city and passed this gorgeous Thai restaurant, I wanted to go in, but the thought of eating at a table alone felt weird to me. I didn't think the food would settle well. So, I walked in and bought take-away food and went home to share it with my housemates. Sadly, this is probably a sign that I'm getting older and getting worried of being alone. I'm not quite sure what that's about, but it seems lonely to sit at the table alone...

I hope everyone gets someone to sit across from and laugh about burnt toast...and crunchy potatoes with.

    Happy Easter!
