Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. More of a character building chapter than anything else in my humble opinion. It's funny Will found yet another way to get under my skin: he's practically leading the conversation with Joshua, on a subject he knows next to nothing about. What's more, he's accompanied by a master and a very skilled apprentice. When is the little shit going to learn that sometimes a conversation isn't about him?! Matt living over the bar... I hope that Brad has further purged himself from the more toxic parts of his relationship with Robbie. I think that, if anything, it's helped Matt show Brad is seriously fucked up and deserves pity. Will and Matt got each other to look at their respective issues, which I think was needed very much. I believe the road ahead is paved with good intentions again. Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. A great chapter, with some important issues being the addressed. One of the very few things I like about Will is his grasp of his place in Zach's life. He stepped in to help Zach at dinner. I'm nearly 100% sure now that Wade and Matt will be together for the long run. Matt knew his place wasn't in Boston and acted on it. Loved the conversation between Will and JP again. JP seems to be the only adult Will respects. I can't say I agree with Kevin though. I feel Darius is the all round best grandson JP has. Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. A nice chapter again. I do feel it shows again that Will is a self-centered spoiled brat who thinks meddling in everyone else's lives is the best way to cope with the loss of 9/11. I was glad Zach (as I had been thinking already) turned out not to be as harsh as it seemed at the end of the last chapter. JP was too lenient with Will, but given his normal behaviour in a discussion I can't say it was a surprise. JP was fully right to point out that 9/11 should be taken into acount when deciding whether or not to make an issue of a certain situation. That is not to say I fully agree with Will (painful though it is ) Brad and Wade are extremely wrong in sleeping with each other. I hope the Will-narratives are gone for some time again... he makes my blood boil. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. A very well written chapter again, but I hardly think that should be surprising. I always love JP. His carefully deliberated discussions with the various family members are always a treat and I think this one did a ton of good for Matt. Thanks also for the opportunity to get my mantra out again. The immature little prick who shall not be named made a necessary, if unwelcome appearance again. He takes us on the same roller coaster rides Robbie did Brad. I don't think he's truly dealing with the aftermath of 9/11. He's taking care of (or meddling in) everyone else's business and not facing his own issues. On the other side, he was great for Brad when he broke down. I hope Zach and Will speak about the issues soon. Historically realistic you probably can't keep them in a relationship I guess. What's with selling Anders-Hayes? I think that would be a mistake. It's a family business and the Schluter family should remain in charge. Can't wait for the next chapter. Lots of loving cuddles. Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. I'm seriously disturbed by the attitude Wade and Brad have shown. I can understand the need for a good fuck every now and then, but their relationship should never have been an option! I loved the way Brad shut down JP. He was respectful and fought JP with his own attitude. Good to see Nana for a bit again. I think she could do wonders for Matt too. Will seems to be making an effort to get in Wally's and Clara's good grace again. That's about the only positive I see in this chapter. Lots of loving cuddles. Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. A great chapter, if highly disturbing. I have a very hard time to reconcile the Brad we've come to know and love with the stealthy relationship he seems to have developed with Wade. I mentioned in a review of a 9/11 chapter that having Will's father sleep with Will's last link to sanity was the absolute worst thing that could happen. I'm glad Will and Brad got over the issue about Brad's love life so quickly. I'm also glad to see the conversation about Matt between Brad and Wade. Further proof they'll stay together? I'm glad Will is merely "sending" Brad to his psychiatrist. The Will from 5 months ago would have burned down Brad's entire wardrobe. Again, I'm surprised that Brad made this monumental error and hope he'll find his anchor somewhere else. Lots of loving cuddles. Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. An eyw opening chapter yet again! I am truly falling in love with the Wade / Matt dynamic. They are truly soul mates. I liked that we got front row seats for Matt's therapy session. I think he's going to come out of 9/11 the strongest. Something I meant to ask you before: who do you imagine as Brad's Dauphin? There seem to be 2 choices: a Brad carbon copy (Will) or a compromise between JP-light and Brad-light (Darius). I feel it'd be a position Will can never fulfill, but then again I'm biased against him. For instance his meddling in Brad's love life in this chapter shows he should not be head of the family. Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. A surprising chapter. Time has been good to Matt. He seems to be grounded again. I was a little surprised by Wade though. I think he's still dealing with the aftermath of 9/11. The carefully deliberating Wade we have come to love was completely absent in this chapter. I do feel, however weird that may seem, that this chapter further shows that Wade and Matt are going to be OK in the long run. Sending Matt with Zach and Will was a very sweet thing. hey Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. A sweet and surprising chapter. I never really saw the Ben/Brad connection, but I deferred to other reviewers, so I'm surprised to see it go like this. It was a very sweet gesture on Brad's part of course to let Sean and Ben have the night to themselves. Did I get scolded for my immaturity rants in this chapter? I really love Brad as a character and as a narrator. Can't wait to see where you're taking him and the story. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. Wow, an eye-opening chapter with an incredible show of maturity ( ) by one of my most loved characters. I think Matt's going about life the right way. I may be day-dreaming, but I see an incredibly bright future in stock for Matt and Wade as a couple again. I thought it was incredibly sweet how Matt and Will could joke around how Ben was off-limits. A sweet chapter, with a great set up for the future I think. Any views on a line of work where a lawyer and a business major will join forces? At first I was seeing Wade as a lawyer opposing the Patriot Act, or getting rid of DADT, but given the renewed synergy between him and Matt I think the future endeavours will include both. Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Flux. Reading this chapter, I was reminded of one of the latter chapters of 9/11, where you stated that you didn't think your characters ever act out of character. While I agreed with the sentiment, I can't help but think this chapter showed a lot of twists and turns as to the three most involved characters. Wade was all over the place in his conversation with Matt. Understandable, but out of character nonetheless. I am getting more and more confident Wade and Matt will be able to get back together. Matt was reflective in his dealings with Wade, a characteristic not totally common to him. I think Matt showed the biggest increase in maturity Brad acting like a lovesick puppy? I don't think that was normal for him, even with Robbie. I'm surprised Stef went to bat for Matt in getting him admitted to Chicago. He was probably prodded by JP. Can't wait for the next chapter. Personally, i thought the conversation showed Matt being the more mature of the two, even if Will allowed Matt's apology in the end. I do feel the reconciliation was too swift. Hi Mark, Thanks for your author's views on 9/11. I felt the full range of emotions 9/11 encompassed again, reading your summary. A magnificent work of art. I had a hard time relating to Will in this book, and hope that we'll get an adult POV for the next book. I was delighted to read Nana calling Wade on his line of thinking, but sadly she seems to agree with Wade now. I still hold a shimmer of hope for Wade/Matt though. I don't know what to make of Elizabeth. I think she's been involved in Washington politics for too long to be able to step back from it.
