Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Black Widow. I know I'm predisposed to thinking badly of He-who-must-not-be-named, but I think the reason he so casually outed Zach to Carullo, is that he's too angry with him to think about the consequences. I see a future where he pissed of Carullo (again, he's rightly pissed about the pedo tag he risked) and Carullo outs Zach to the NCAA. All in all a chapter where not really anything of substance seemed to happen, but knowing your writing, I can see this chapter becoming pivotal eventually too. Jays seems to be getting better, if he van moan and bitch again. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Black Widow. I am glad to see He-who-must-not-be-named from his good side again, being there for family in times of crisis. 2 relationships crashed, and we're only on chapter 5. I'll hazard a guess that Brad and Marc are the next couple to break up. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. I have been a terrible reviewer lately, sorry for that. This was a great chapter again. I am glad Dave's rapist was finally caught. Let's hope the recruiter sends a doctor to see Dave. The Brat's injury seems to indicate he'll have to give up the AFL dream at least for another year. I fear Dad is stuck as well. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Black Widow. I was trying to get a feel for the direction of this book before posting a review. Although dissatisfaction with the amount of exposure to He-who-must-not-be-named has certainly played a part. I'll admit I kind of like the approach Will is taking. His heart is in the right place, but his actions are those of a spoiled rich 8 year old. I was appalled by JP's trust in Will. First and foremost because it gives off an ominous message about his (JP's) part in the saga, even if you promised not to kill him in this book. But secondly, and nearly as important, because to the extent you allowed us inside JP's head, he should be very wary of Will's interaction with Brad, or any other family member that says he's wrong. Even I, probably the biggest opponent of Will, can appreciate Will in coming to the defence of family (he's rightfully pissed Brad didn't acknowledge his need for support post-9/11), but he's to volatile to be given the amount of responsibility JP bestowed on him. But to move on to the current chapter; from other reviews I get the feeling a lot of readers haven't read the Bridgemont saga. If they had, they'd realise Alex is in a lot more trouble than they appreciate. British aristocracy is still pretty much alive and kicking in parts of the UK. I am still waiting for the next part of the JJ-Alex equation. JJ shot the relationship down, understandably, but I hope we'll get to see more of their coupling. From a literary point of view I am really looking forward to seeing the nextchapter. Story wise, I can't help but feel that Will is given way too much front line time. Apart from JP, who actually is the Academic Predator, the name sake of the saga, I don't recall any 1 character being given remotely this amount of narrating time. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. A great chapter again. I love your portrayal of the Brat. His blow up is totally believable, and I love how O'Malley sseems to know that it's not as big an issue as others make it out to be. I am still looking forward to seeing how the Brat will respond when he realises that he was the target all along. I feel it's going to take Dad's intervention to get the Brat to take the draft spot. I like the football clinic option, to allow Liam to have all his friends present for his birthday. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Chapter 50-Final Chapter
shyboy85 commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 50-Final Chapter
Hi Mark, Thanks for the final chapter of Streak. I had been mentally preparing myself for a completely Will-cWill-centred chapter, and I am glad I did. He was as obnoxious as ever. I am wondering where you'll be taking us. An anti-war plot? Seems to me to be the most likely. Looking forward to the next book. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten -
Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Streak. An agonising chapter for the anti-Will brigade again. A car accident is looking better with every word you write about him. He's completely and irreversible on top of my Hate-list. He'll have to be an angel for a century before I might consider appreciating him again. Please have him die, even if that's going to hurt Brad in the short run. The world will be a better place without William Schluter in it. I guess, apart from a feud with ME, we won't see a lot from JJ for a long time again. I'm starting to get annoyed with the choices you make, but your writing is too brilliant to abandon the story. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. O'Malley was the most promising change of pace in this chapter. I didn't think he'd have it in him to do something like this. He became one of the good guys in that short last paragraph. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Streak. I'm looking for the plural of Alea Jacta Est. A lot of die was cast in this latest chapter. ME's threat to JJ, the war protests, JJ's skating career all but over. I hope this isn't the last book concerning JJ. I am under the impression you don't like writing about him. He's largely been ignored from a narrative point of view, and the instances where he did have a significant role, he's always had a rough time. It was nice to see Grand compare the protests. Sad, but accurate I fear. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. O'Malley is a right devious bugger yeah. We knew it was going to be a set up, but this was indeed very low. If this ends up hurting Dad, I don't envy them. They'll get to see the old Ty, multiplied by 10. I love the way Neil and Liam are going about their relationship. It shows maturity beyond their years. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Streak. A chapter nearly fully dedicated to JJ. I'm glad it has happened. Even of poor Jays was screwed over big time. I can't believe that Tiffany would do something like this. If she weren't nearly family, I reckon shed be dead. On a different matter: show me a gay guy that doesn't want to fuck Johnny Weir and I'll show you a liar . I expected more of the wedding ceremony in the story, but I expect it'll be more than made up by the reception. Which reminds me to look up the Duke of Preston in the Bridgemont saga. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Streak. I liked the Wade point of view. It shows Wade being nicely tuned into ME's feelings. On the other side though, it shows there's still trouble brewing where she's concerned. The other Christmas dinner was way too sappy lovey-dovey. I liked the description of the various paintings. Spot on depictions, and it was nice to see Darius opening up. Wouldn't have put art-connoisseur on his resume. Keep up the amazing work, Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. I loved the exploratory way Liam and Neil have taken in their relationship. Turns out that the Village Idiot is pretty smart after all. Lots of decisions to be made, with comparatively little time to achieve it in. I hope Neil can find a way to go to uni, and maintain a relationship with Liam. I also hope Dad's training session will be a success, although I fear it is either a gay-friendly publicity stunt, or a way of secretly scouting the Brat. No epic blow up this time, with a Dad to curb the Brat. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Streak. I feared another Will-dominated chapter in the first paragraph. Luckily you went soft on the Will-haters this time round. I particularly liked Darius in this chapter. I couldn't have said it better myself. Will just craves Brad's anger. A healing dinner, we can't have enough of those. Although I am wondering if Darius will be so understanding when he realises he isn't going to Afghanistan. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. I think this was the perfect birthday party for Neil. The girls gave him just enough rope to hang himself, figuratively of course. Sam and Marcus really do a lot of good for Neil, and consequently Liam. Another great chapter. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Streak. A chapter dominated by He-who-must-not-be-named. I've already said too much. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. I always try to leave my own review, if I think of writing one. However, this time Timothy has so eloquently and completely written what I was going to say, that I feel I can suffice with the famous quote: "what he said". Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Streak. I'll second all the other people saying this chapter was well worth the wait. I see a major blow up coming soon. I don't believe Jays will be able to keep quiet about his displeasure about the wedding, even if he's going to have a big part in the ceremony. It was funny to read that the Duke of Hamilton and the Duke of Suffolk are still close after 200 years. Even if the 18th century connection was through George, rather than his brother. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. Wow! I was settled on Liam/Alf and Neil getting together after last week's chapter, but I couldn't realistically see it working out. Thank god for Tony. What a powerful way to give Neil a perspective on his issue. Although grossly inadequate, seeing as Jim had more benign motives to become Ken, than Liam had to become Alf. I also liked the explanation Sam gave to Neil about his feelings. It was long overdue for someone to help point it out to Neil that "we" are not by definition sexual predators. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. I don't really know what to make of this chapter. A lot of seemingly positive, minor things happening. I was very pleased to see the Rosewoods visit the Leopards, just to show their appreciation of Neil's efforts. Deon seems to allow his father closer again. I hope he'll take the advice. I really feel for Liam. I hope that him and Neil will eventually come together. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. I'm with Timothy, this was a sad chapter across the board. I am not sure what has to happen to get Neil and Liam together. I think the response Neil had was very much a declaration of his total infatuation with Alf/Liam. I was pleased to see the Dave/Charlie conversation. I hope he'll continue to heal. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter of Leopard Spots. An interesting chapter. A good omen for the Brat, Dad potentially being drafted, Alf and Todd's dinner date and last but not least, Alf presumably being close to outing himself to Neill. Anxiously awaiting the next chapter of Leopard Spots. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten
-
Hi Graeme, It's your incredibyly infrequently reviewing, yet insanely admiring follower again. I so incredibly love your work. This chapter again showed your aptitude to juggle several avenues in a single story. "Alf", the Brat's scouting, the Todd-Neil-Liam equation. You also gave us/Liam a time line for this story to end. I imagine a incredibly sappy, incredibly gay, 18th birthday party for Neil, ending with Liam and Neil being boyfriend. I was kinda disappointed with the reply to the review you gave, seemingly giving away your intention to acknowledge the bullly-turned-boyfriend plot, but knowing yoiur writing, I wouldn't be surprised you'll surprise us again. Can't wait to see where you're taking the Leopards (nearly forgot the upcoming first contact for the scout with the Brat). Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Mark, Thanks for the next chapter of Streak. A chapter fully dedicated to JJ: Thank you! I really liked the first part: ominous times ahead for Mary-Ellen! I have no doubt JJ will outplay Mary-Ellen. JJ's recollection of birthdays past was really sad, and I tendto feel the same: he seems to be nearly as neglected by the family as Darius. It was nice to see the welcoming committee in Boston. I had to laugh at JJ setting He-who-must-not-be-named straight about Brad's absence. Lastly: we all appreciate everything you do to give us our Mark Arbour fix. Even suffering from "Streak-deprevation", we'll muddle through. We know we'll be treated to a gem of a chapter in good time. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten

Hi Graeme, Thanks for the next chapter Leopard Spots. I know, I'm a horrible reviewer of your work. I sincerely apologise for my lack of reviews. I love the Alf-Neil relationship. I truly hope that Alf will get Neil in the end. Sad to say, but it was always just a matter of time, for Neil's father to unravel the mystery. Let's hope Neil's mother can be a soothing influence. I can't wait to see the scene where the Brat hears about his father's schemes. That should make for a nice bit of fireworks. Keep up the amazing work. Lots of loving cuddles, Maarten
