Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed the story. It's not the end of Mark's story but it is the end of Viktor as we know him. The vampires in Mark's universe have remarkable healing abilities, but they are not immortal like he is. Too much damage to the brain or the heart, or even their lungs and they can die. And yes he was connected to Mark, and had been drinking his blood, but that doesn't give him Mark's invulnerability, in the same way Mark being connected with him doesn't make Mark as mortal as a vampire. I'm glad you liked it:) not sure what will happen in the next part, but you're not the only one to ask about Jeremy, I guess he was kind of intriguing. The sirens will definitely be in it. I have plans for Scott.

No, it doesn't. I was pretty devastated when I wrote this, I was so mad at Mark for not protecting him better, and Miri too. But he wanted to die, and Viktor gave him that, sort of. I think I'm going to write what happens next to Miri, so maybe some of the stuff that was inconclusive will get sorted there.

You and me both:( I don't know why it happened like that. One second we're all set the rescue Miri and rush off into the sunrise and the next I'm killing Viktor. Who I actually like better than Mark.

Haha I know I like that bit too. I never intended for it to be horrific and gory, or rather, the horrific and gory parts were only meant to be so because for Mark they're so normal. He doesn't see that what he's doing is so very wrong, which I think makes their reactions quite amusing at times.
