No, of course he's not a hothead! LOL Back home for only a bit. The unexpected DC trip must have awaken CJ's travel bug. I hear he, Ozzie, and the Munchkin are on a plane a week or so after returning. I wonder if Northman will object.

Cover stories, like lies, work best when based on truth. In this case, the IVF procedure's real, so CJ can focus on that and dismiss conjecture. That change in job would significantly impact CJ's life. Instead of attending events he wants to, he'll have to represent the embassy now and then. The choice of where to be would be partially out of his control.

Glad you enjoyed that. I think people are so accustomed to my religiously keep Friday posting schedule, they often miss other stuff. Hell, even when I post extra chapters on whatever story's going on, some people miss them because they went up on a different day. I can tell by the reactions and at times by questions readers ask the answer to which was supplied in one of those extra entries. Wish I had time to write a few more like this. Maybe once I'm out of Mexico and Spain.

MASH and The West Wing are in my top 5 all-time favorites. TWW's available in one of the streaming services and MASH's on a couple of networks. Both shows had fast-paced, incredible dialogue which has inspired me at times.

Good timing for this comment considering you're reading Singer. Something I hinted at in the story was Chipper controlling his catalogue. That I based on many artists, most famously in the recent past Taylor Swift, and their struggles with managers and producers. It's also why I made sure he took business courses while in college.

I can't believe I missed this comment before. And it irks me to no end. Don't keep your mouth shut. No matter what accusations Drpaladin throws at you, there are no limits to what can be discussed in the comments. Politics only allowed in my stories and others with similar content Unless the author objects, I'll talk about anything I want in my comments. I've yet to object to anyone discussing other works in my own stories. -
No idea about the other Mulcahy. However, I think I shared this with you before. I named the character after someone I went to college with. She's from Long Island, inspired the "21 @ 21 4 21" celebration (I had a blast), and last time I saw her was some ten years ago when we did a little day drinking at Bryant Park in NYC. An early reader said my character couldn't run in Idaho because she was Sag Harbor's mayor already. I had no idea Katie had run and won. She lost her reelection bid in the middle of the pandemic. Damn It's a Small World will now be playing in my head the rest of the day. I also mentioned how CJ met the Meatheads, Nelson Wheatly, Carson, Al Diaz, and Tank!

They only spend 2 days in Barcelona and I spend 3 chapters on them. Let's hope I did the place justice.

Adele will obviously become a treasured character for what she's gifting CJ and Owen. Considering Northman and Domogarov, it was nice to write non-jerk characters with her and Dr. Oscar. Both will return. Cuban food cycles through being trendy on a regular basis. Abuela's opened during one of those times and has remained popular.

Bingo! Maybe technology helps these days, but when those guys come together, they revert to being kids albeit with grown up issues. More Squad members coming up soon.

LOL I'm sure DaddyDaveK wouldn't complain either. I just read the two chapters posting next two weeks and realized while I kept CJ and Owen on a tight leash with traveling, they make up for it at the beginning of 2022. I think I got carried away. Those upcoming trips added length to the story.

It may have been a calm chapter, but it probably has more info to unpack than most other chapters. Back to Mexico City in the next chapter.

Pretty sure I already mentioned Mann complained when he agreed to edit one chapter for me recently and complained when he realized it was over 9k words. Hopefully that will keep Dave entertained for a bit.

LMAO I have a few paragraphs written on something y'all won't see until next year. The opening scene has CJ, Ozzie, Ritch, Lucy, and Kim trapped in an airplane with Harley. Thankfully, CJ and Owen upgraded everyone to First so the booze will flow.

Did you know President Biden appointed former Senator Jeff Flake as ambassador to Turkey? Flake made me like him, in spite of despising his politics, when he sent Doug Jones a contribution for his Alabama senatorial run and wrote "Country over party" in the memo line. Politics can be dirty, but everyone should at times do the same.

Leave it to CJ to have a day when all he did was run 2 errands and eat three meals and make every interaction consequential. We get 3 new characters in this chapter and a few returning ones. Since so many were introduced in the book already, I'm trying to recycle. Just wait until Katie and Owen get into a discussion about fossil fuels and renewable energy. I want Katie to be a traditional GOPper supporting a strong military, lower taxes, and fewer regulations. I see her and CJ agreeing on those areas. Gay right's a non-issue because of her brother, but she opposes abortion except in very limited circumstances. I think the environment and how they approach agreeable areas would be the big differences. We'll see what I come up with.

I'd been missing the guys and when the opportunity to have some show up, I jumped at it. Ritch will make another appearance and I think even Ethan gets in some time. Oh, wait, Brad returns and Chipper has... Oh never mind. I missed our boys so I tried to feature as many of them as possible.
