Thanks. I try not to be repetitive of what I've written in the past or of other stories posted on GA. I think those differences are a big part of why the CJ Series is popular. Let me know if I falter.
Thank you, Ma'am. I wasn't fishing for compliments, but I'll take them. I think the nerves are similar through what singers and actors experience when they step on stage. GA's my stage.
@frosenblum
Following a time out in a basketball game, players return to the court energized and ready to rumble. Same thing here. I gave you three fun chapters in Vail, it was time to grab readers' attention again.
CJ may encounter one or two unique circumstances before his time in Mexico's over. Not sure they would ever be in a bucket list, but he'll add to the experiences that help shape him.
Yeah, well... insecurities flare up now and then. But as I mentioned to you before (Prologue?) I'm happy with this story's reception. And the love shown the entire series. I've come to realize my chapters/stories don't top the list in views, reactions, comments, recommendations, or reviews, but they do pretty darn well.
I'll keep trying to put out an interesting, well-written product.
I need Jimmy Chen's technology knowledge. He can inject GA with a virus capable of destroying chapters unless the author provides a thumb print or retinal scan.
See what you did? Now I have to write more intrigue into my stories.
Ooops, I think I'm going on a long motorcycle trip starting tomorrow. You know, since I don't have to sleep I may as well ride.
Roadside motels are notorious for iffy internet, so y'all can blame Cris for me not posting again until I return. Sometime in April?
Yeah! Ozzie has a backbone we might not have been aware of before. I think Liebe's changed him in more ways than even he realizes. He's determined to protect her and that means protecting CJ!
Glad I can help you start the weekend with an enjoyable read. I'm amazed how much attention Northman gets even when he has a small part in the chapter. I need more characters like him! Too bad all I'm writing these days are slice-of-life stories with zero conflict. Unless Liebe throws a tantrum and CJ goes after her again.
Moi? Misdirection? perish the thought! That I lump in with cliffhangers and romance novels as things I'd never write.
Spoiler!
There may be one or more twists coming up. I'm so happy when I can surprise readers even after they've been speculating on what comes next.
I haven't seen the latest Marvel movies, but aren't they playing around with timelines and alternate realities? If Disney can do it, so can I.
EDIT-
It was grapefruit juice this morning.
We listen to some of their conversation in the plane, so we'll see if that's what the Russian has in mind. He could be on the level, and knowing CJ, he may convince Domogarov to play nice. After he cusses him out.
@scrubber6620
I suspect all intelligence services work on a 'need-to-know' basis. Jake's been aware of what was going on from the beginning and finally lets CJ know. I'd say having our guys under surveillance for a little while proves CJ and Owen are but small pieces in a large puzzle. In the big picture, they're expendable.
Cover stories work best when based in truth. We may end up with a little CJ or little Owen.
I think I hit a nerve with this chapter. The reactions have been coming in fast and furious.
Is it now. Do tell, please.
I'd say both. And having an experienced diplomat in his corner can only benefit CJ. I hope she sticks around for a long time. I mean, she's either in her late 40s or early 50s at this point.
I could have him posted to some remote embassy. Or I could have the Russians blame him for CJ's actions since he's our guy's supervisor and take him out. So many options, so little time to write them all...
LMAO
Hey, Domogarov's a seasoned operative, maybe he'll give CJ some good advice. A small jet, with CJ, Domogarov, and a sprinkling of CIA agents might make for an interesting flight.
As for Northman, he needs someone to sit him down and explain the facts of life to him: CJ's the story's protagonist and will ALWAYS end up on top. (Any of you with your minds in the gutter better stop.)
