  1. Another great chapter! I felt like the conversation with the parents was a bit rushed, was that intentional or just me? I wish you'd put in a bit more in regard to the sister. I've got a decent feeling about his relationship with his mother, but I'm not sure what to think about the sister. Initially I thought they were rather close, but maybe not now? I don't know, she's just sort of this loose string off to the side that's got me wondering. She's little more than a shadow person, and it seems like, being his sister, there should be something more about her than the occasional name tossed in. My opinion, for what it's worth!
  2. Your imagery is fantastic, I felt like I was actually there and watching things go down rather than in my room reading it. Love it. ..But seriously? Kind of feeling like throttling you for that cliffhanger. D:
  3. Love it. It's great to see everything coming together so well for Rhyder. Felt like Christmas to log in today and find another update on this story!
  4. Sorry to put in another new post, there doesn't seem to be a way that I can reply to your reply. -.- Anyway, you needn't apologize! I certainly enjoyed it, I was just offering what critique I could. I definitely understand the desire to write something short after you've been working on extended pieces for so long.

    Chapter 1

That was a really short short! Right about the time I started to even come close to investing in the characters, it was done. :-/ As always, it flowed well, your dialogue is always so engaging and easy to read. Don't much care one way or the other about the smut, but that could have been a wee bit longer, for the sake of actually knowing the characters and the situation a bit better.

    Chapter 1

Really interesting! I admit I would love to see more writing from this 'verse, I really love the idea of the old gods living amongst us in modern times.
  7. Beautiful.

..But seriously, where is this place with all the hot gay cowboys? I'm feeling the sudden urge to relocate. >.> Great update, I knew Rhydian would be alright.
  9. I'm going to go on a moderately different vein from what I've seen in the other reviews here. Of course, I adore your characterization, truly. That's understood, I think. What I really, really love about this story, though, is the focus that you are putting on the relationship between the boy and his horse. I have been around horses all my life, and I know that bond intimately well. All too often I've read "cowboy stories" where people just..don't get it, or they simply don't emphasize it enough. It's a background thing that's taken for granted, and you have not done that. I feel like Rhydian's relationship with his horse is just as important as the other relationships that he is developing- and sometimes more important- and I think that is fantastic, because that's really what it is like. So, thank you so much for showing how that relationship matters, and how much good it can do a person to have that bond, how much it's really needed.
