A short educational film from 70 years ago... A news report from this past Tuesday... This isn't a politically motivate post. This is a MORAL post. People can be disgusting. For no other reason than they feel a need to hate someone in order to make themselves feel better about their own existence. If you're reading this right now...if you're gay, or bi, or lesbian, or trans, or even just straight but tolerant of the rest of us...make no mistake...THEY - WILL - COME - FOR - YOU!!! Research the folks who are pushing this. You don't fit their definition of normal. So if you stand by and let it happen...expect hat knock to come to your door too. We have centuries worth of history to educate us on how this story turns out. Please...stay awake. Not because Comsie told you so. Do your own research. But see this for what it is, and...know that it won't stop at the US borders. It's a game. And we don't have to play. Sorry. I won't say another word. But this is getting more disgusting by the day. I'll erase this post if asked. Promise. But I spoke up. And I wish more people could do the same. This is JUST my opinion, and does not reflect the opinions of anyone else on this site.

I can understand EXACTLY what you mean, Dmrman! Wholeheartedly! I see people coming out younger and younger these days, with some of the same fears and questions that I assume we all had at one time. But the rest of the world isn't as harsh and unforgiving as it used to be in some cases. Or...at the very least, there are places to turn to and people who will understand and defend you where necessary. There's more strength in that than a lot of people will ever know. But that's a GOOD thing! I feel as though the newer generations will have it better than I did. (Not that I didn't have my fair share of fun as a teenager, hehehe!) But I think I had it better than my parents did (my mom's sister is m2f transgender, which I didn't understand at all when I was little...but it's not like it mattered. Still doesn't.). And you know a world that I couldn't even imagine in the 80's, so don't feel bad, and never feel alone. People are slow to learn, and it's frustrating sometimes...but when it sticks, it sticks. It's just how evolution works, I suppose. But I get emails constantly from teenagers who are as young as 13 or 14 years old who might find a bunch of stuff online that might come off as a bit 'heavy' for them to take in. But then they find a few stories that actually speaks more to what's in their hearts instead of what's in their pants...and they just want a friend to talk to. They want stories about romance and love and finding someone special. It's not just about being horny, they're VERY in touch with how they feel and with what they want. And for those who are older, there's a huge nostalgia involved in going back and remembering that first crush, first love, first relationship...that ultimately touches all of us in some way. Sunday - Ok, so...what am I supposed to make of this random message from Jimmy today? I mean, he's not in the hospital anymore. I'm going to assume that he's feeling better now that his arm is in a cast and he's back home and all, right? So, for the last few weeks, I haven't been able to get into my own mailing list and send out any announcements about the new stories that have been posted. And if I can't tell people the new chapters are out, then they don't know. And if they don't know, then...I'm basically writing for nothing. This has happened before. Updates to my laptop, or to GayAuthors, or to Windows...things get out of sync or some 'bug' shows up and it needs to be fixed before I can operate again. It's <I>usually</I> temporary, but this pesky bug doesn't seem to be going away. I spent the last two or three days trying desperately to fix it, and change passwords and update my laptops and get everything working, but I'm losing hope here. And the stories are backing up as I finish them. (I'm at about 7 new chapters right now that haven't been posted yet) So, if I end up waving a white flag on this one...does anybody here know of a quality free mailing list that I can use to get the word out to the Shack when new stuff is posted? The thing about searching for a free service is that a lot of them have a lot of 'limits' that I won't be able to work with. So three things that I'm looking for specifically are as follows... 1- Instant mailing. If I type up and send out an announcement at 3 o'clock in the morning, I really want the announcement to go out at 3 o'clock in the morning. If there's going to be a 12 hour delay, that's no good for me. 2- I'd have to be able to send out multiple notices a week, or possibly in the same day. If there's a limit for the number of notices that I can send out...also not very good for the site. I'd need some room. I don't send stuff out excessively, but it would suck to have to ration things out tooo tightly. 3- It would have to be able to hold a LOT of subscribers! My current mailing list had just over 600 email addresses on it. So I would need a mailing list that can handle that kind of fanbase. So...any suggestions? The sooner I get signed up and experiment with how it works, the sooner I can post the rest of these chapters and get things working again. I'll be searching too, plus I'll keep working on getting into my old mailing list. It's just that you guys know more about this stuff than I do! So...once again... ...'little help'?

I'm not really all that old, but when I was just starting high school...I never thought that I'd see a day when music videos would have an acceptable gay theme. It just...never crossed my mind. It's good to see the world growing up.

Saturday - Oh God... That is TOTALLY what I needed! Seriously...the time I spent with my boyfriend today was the cure-all for everything else that was going on in my life right now! Like...wow!
