I had no idea where Trevor had planned to take us, and I have to admit that I didn't much care. Whether Trevor was leading us to a good place or a bad place...it was better than having no direction at all. I was desperate. I didn't know what to do or how to do it. And desperation leads people to the worst decisions they'll ever make in their lives. That's what my father used to say, anyway. If you have to hesitate on something, then that means you feel bad about it. And if you can hesitate for

"Gone From Daylight: Blood Ties 33" Perhaps I imagined it... The strange looks that I got from human passersby as I walked down the public streets of Chicago. Not a blatant double take, but something that escaped the subtlety of a second glance as they saw the look in my eye. For a moment, I thought my vampire optrix had betrayed me. Giving them a full view of my glowing eyes through their supposedly authentic blue tint. And to think...Taryn had gone through so much trouble to match it to

Friday - My mom made a huge breakfast this morning. Like....the kind of breakfast that she would make on a Winter holiday. She really went all out this morning. And she was practically dancing around the kitchen while she was doing it. Okaaaaay....so that was different. I'm starting to think my mom is about as schizophrenic as I am with her emotions these days. I received no less than SEVEN kisses today! On the head, the cheeks...everywhere. I honestly didn't expect her to be in that good a

"A Class By Himself 24" A day or two passes by me in a blur. It's not that the days were uneventful. They just seemed dull in comparison to some of the major milestones I've been experiencing in my life lately. I certainly didn't want to complain though, for fear of being thrust out of my current lull in 'adventure' and tossed right back into another pit of tragedy and despair before I had time to heal from any of the last four or five mishaps that I've been struggling through.

Thursday - Ok, sooooo....things kinda got out of hand in a way that I didn't expect today. Maybe I should have seen this coming, but I honestly didn't. And when Sam came up to my front door today, I was glad that he asked to talk to me outside instead of in the house where my mom might overhear us. So basically, Sam came by with this subtle smirk on his face this morning, and he's shaking his head at me. I didn't know if he was joking around or what, but after saying hi to my mom, he was li

"Kiss Of An Angel 16" Gramms was quick to tell me to take my shoes and stuff when I walked into the house. She came out from the kitchen and had a few towels by the front door, just in case. But I didn't need them. "I'm ok, Gramms. I didn't get wet." "Are you sure? You didn't get caught out in the rain. It was a pretty heavy downpour out there when I looked out the window." She said. "Nope. I went to my friend Randy's house. He helped to keep me dry." She smiled at me. "Randy. Randy Step

"New Kid In School 52" My throat burned. My coughing had aggravated it something awful. And my forehead was burning up with fever. Jesus...what did that Benny kid come down with? The black plague? You'd think I'd be able to handle a few random germs from a little boy. That's probably why Ariel hurried out of here tonight as soon as the rain was over. He probably didn't want to get it too. Well, I've definitely learned my lesson about looking at the tissue after blowing my nose. I don't ev

Wednesday - I think that I was dreaming about Brandon last night. I can't be sure, because, no matter how hard I try to remember...I just grasp any of the details concerning what I was thinking about before I opened my eyes this morning. That's the sucky part of having to wake up to an alarm clock. I spend more energy and brain power in shutting off that annoying racket than I do focusing on the lingering thoughts on what must have been an amazing unconscious fantasy. I don't know...he was j

"Waiting Outside The Lines 11" There was a time or two that Greyson made sure to lean over and lightly rest his head on my shoulder, or give me a gentle kiss on the lips. But I knew that he was just doing it to make sure that I knew he was still infatuated with me and me alone...even while watching what was going on through that trailer window. And that must have been a hard collection of emotions to balance, because Asa and Chandler were giving us a show that we were sure to remember for a

Tuesday - Five messages were hurled my way today. All with the force of a brick during a downtown riot. After Jimmy's breakdown at my house yesterday, I half expected him to totally shut down and simply push me out of his life forever. I didn't think he'd ever want to speak to me again. Which hurt...but I guess I could understand it. Instead...I seem to be getting the exact opposite reaction. And, if I have to be honest...I think that hurts even worse. Lee? And Bobby? They hated me when we

"Billy Chase #374" Is Posted...
Comicality replied to Comicality's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
Oh yeah...the Kindle versions... I should explain that a bit more... Yes, a big part of it is the fact that I type all of my own HTML by hand. And the version that Kindle uses is different. Which means that I have to literally go through each and every single sentence, and every line of code, to make sure that it's formatted properly before I can publish it. So that takes forever. But even more than that...I re-edit, and almost rewrite all of the stories from scratch when I officially publish them. When I started writing, I didn't even have a spell check. But I go back and fix continuity errors, dialogue, take out stuff that's unnecessary, add stuff that's needed...etc. So it's almost like a brand new version of the story. Especially stories like "Gone From Daylight" (And this October, "GFD: Resurrection") where I've added a TON of new material that wasn't there before. So that's why the ebooks and the Premium content on GA takes so long. Because I'm kinda reaching for perfection with anything that you guys have to shell money out for. Hehehe, I fall short, I'm sure. But perfection is the goal. And with something like "New Kid" and "Class" (I was sooooo 'unpracticed' back then! Hehehe!) I've got a lot of fixing to do. I definitely want to, though. I'll try to get inspired to give it a go some time soon. Who knows what 2015 might bring! Besides..."Avengers 2" and "Star Wars"!
