  1. I have to agree. So far The Log Way has been my favorite by far, then I would have to go for The Spirit of James, then The Ordinary Us. As With Trust is not yet finished, I cannot adequately nor fairly make a judgement call on it (although it has the potential of being in my top 3). I must say that I have yet to be disappointed with any of Dom's writings (including the now"closed" blog ) . They have provided hours of comforting entertainment and each has its own special merits.
  2. I have to disagree with you here. You just have to go back to Ch. 5 and see how closeted Nelson is and how he reacted before his father calmed him down gives some indication thereof.
  3. The problem with too many tantalizing appetizers is that instead of whetting the appetite, they fill you up so you are no longer in need of the main course! Or worse, the chef gets tired of keeping the main course warm and waiting for you and it is served up to someone else. Hopefully that won't happen to Nelson.
  4. MATGITE I have to agree with CJames here. As a person who spent many, many years "in the closet" and only coming to terms with things in my late twenties, I find Nelson to be pretty "out". And he had better watch his little slip-ups around Haley. If she hasn't already guessed, I'd say her "woman's intuition" is pretty darn weak or totally askew. Well-said! Dom has characterized these high-school aged teens perfectly! I have a feeling Nelson is going to be making a little slip-up, and lose Milo's trust:
  5. Well, I must concur with what has been said - another good chapter. So what is going to be the bombshell? I predict that: 1) Mr. Trust "will have an accident" (caused no doubt by the evil stepmother-to-be) and be indisposed for a while 2)Nelson's love life will come crashing down as Milo is sent away to a military boarding school to "straighten" him out (again evil stepmother-to-be will be front and centre) 3)Haily will get Nelson drunk at homecoming, after which he will puke on her dress, pass out and end up naked in bed with her 4)Joe will then take pictures of Nelson and Haily in bed together and post them on the internet 5)Milo, heartbroken and alone at military school, will be shown the pictures sent to him in an e-mail by Jame. He will then decide that Nelson was only leading him on and will then plan and scheme to exact his revenge upon poor Nelson. 6)Nelson, his world turned upside down, takes comfort and solace with the goat. Now saying all that, I hope Dom has a much better plot in store for us. Looking forward to the next chapter. Cameron
  6. Great story and a great chapter! For me, Joe is the real enigma. I have a feeling that he is falling for Officer Trujillo And Juanita, could she possibly be Mr. Trust's sister? (although more plausible that she be Milo's aunt) I am hoping for a pro-active role for the goat, rather than him being served up in some curry. Well, can't wait for my next fix....
  7. Hi, new to posting on the forum but not new to lurking and reading all of Dom's stories and the comments posted by everyone here. I have been a fan for a long (or is that "log" ) time. First of all, a BIG thanks to Dom and all of those involved in allowing for these stories to be posted and shared with readers around the world Now to D.D. I must agree with those who have posted as being in the "Bittersweet" category. I love Dom's work and find he has enormous potential in reaching out to his audience. When I first started reading D.D. , it snagged my interest in that I thought it was going to be a bridge in Dom's writing from the "gay teen love" genre to other forms. I particularly agree with: I also have difficulty in the development of Seth - I never really got into his character from his introduction as the shy and jealous ex to the caring, loveable boyfriend.
