  1. Mike and Colt finished grooming their horses and Mike showed Colt where all the tack was kept, and explained that whenever they used anything, they always put it back in the same place they found it. God, was Mike sounding like a father now. Mike reached out and ruffed up Colt’s hair, that deep chestnut brown hair that went so well with his beautiful brown eyes. Mike said, “Son, want to go in and see what your pop is doing?” God, he's got Mike calling me pop now. They both left the barn and head
  2. Chapter 4 We were awakened by a little munchkin, running into our room and jumping into the middle of the bed on top of the covers still wearing his sneakers. While both Mike and I were still naked under the covers, I thought to myself, it’s time for some new rules. Of course, that would have to wait for a few, as he had his arms wrapped around my neck, in a big hug saying, “Good morning pop.” Then he jumped over to Mike’s side of the bed and wrapped his arms around Mike’s neck saying, “Good
  3. I got up from the table and started running after Mike and Colt, but in the fog, it was hard to see where they went, I was scared we would lose Colt in the fog, but I could still see a little bit of Mike, as I followed him. Mike was still yelling at him, “Colt stop son, please stop!” I ran faster and faster, then in the dense fog, I saw, first Mike stopped, and on his knees, I was so scared, wondering if he, or worse yet, Colt was hurt. I just ran up to Mike, and as I got to Mike, I look
  4. I spoke, calmly. I didn't want to alarm Colt, but, I was a little concerned, I said, "What man in the office? There were only Mike and I in there with you!" Colt said, “The man in the picture!” “I'm sorry, but, what picture do you mean, son? There are several pictures, in the office.” I was wondering, what in the world was going on. “Come hear sir... sorry, I mean, JC.” Colt took off, like a shot, out of the kitchen, on a dead run, toward my office, and turned on the lights again, then
  5. I had just come home from a business trip to Munich, Germany, Larry Jenkins (my new chauffeur/bodyguard age 30 (Carl had retired) dropped me off in front of the ranch house, it was about 6:30 P.M. when Mike came running up, grabbed me in a huge bear hug, and kissed me. I of course returned the kiss, and then I said, "Hello love, did you miss me?" "You bet I did!" he then planted another warm, loving, kiss on my lips. "Well I missed you too!” I said, smiling broadly, "I hate having to go on
  6. Prologue I have been thinking back on my life since I lost Charlie, my first true love. The last 10 years have been good to me, now that Michael Earl Hendricks [Mike] my life partner has been part of my life, for ten years, he has been the co-owner of the ranch. The Lazy L is raising Prime Black Angus cattle, and some of the finest blue ribbon quarter horses in Wyoming. There have been many twists and turns in our lives, we have a couple of new additions and some new ideas for things to come
  7. Author’s Note. Special thanks go to Darryl ‘Radio Rancher’ for editing this work of mine. I hope you enjoyed this fictional tale. It reflects some of my views on life, and how I would love to have lived my own. I did loose a lover when I was a youth, but we were only lovers in our minds. Thanks for reading this story... Tickie Editor’s note. I first found this story sitting on the nifty archive. I immediately fell in love with it, having only read the first four chapters; I knew the

    Epilogue

Epilogue: Charlie… We completed the new buildings on the ranch, and under the skillful hands of Mike, we did well. He was a great asset to us. We are raising a few hundred head of Black Angus cattle and some wonderful Quarter Horses. The Lazy L was a working ranch at last. I always thought that someday, Mike and JC would be together, but JC was faithful to me always, he never once strayed. But there was something I knew that JC didn’t. Mike was still in love with him. Well it would be n

    Chapter 15

Morning came and the day was filled with turmoil. Mike and JC went out checking the ranch, and Clyde was busy, getting ready for the party. Greg came out and we worked out the planning for the new construction on the ranch, along with other company business, which would never stop. Greg and I also went over the guest list for the party, making sure that only those that were comfortable with JC’s and my sexuality would be there, we didn’t want any unpleasantness spoiling our special day.

    Chapter 14

We awoke in the morning to the sound of a phone ringing, It was Mike, calling for JC, to let him know that he could come up Friday night and spend the weekend, which was only a few days off. I told JC to call Greg and get things lined up for his transportation. After that was completed, JC returned to the bedroom to find me still in bed. So he dropped his robe, and climbed back into bed. We were both still naked as we were last night. With sparkling eyes, JC said, "Good morning, sweetheart!"

    Chapter 13

We arrived back at Buckaroo; both JC and I were stuffed, and uncomfortable. So we just lay back and buckled up in the recliners. Carl got us some sodas, as we already had to many mixed drinks. The flight back to Casper went well. The remainder of JC's two-week visit was wonderful. We traveled to Yellowstone National Park, in North Western Wyoming. And spent four days there, enjoying the sights of the natural wonders of the park, and those of each other. We still hadn't got to the point of tot

    Chapter 12

We pulled up to General Aviation Terminal, and parked Buckaroo. We all deplaned, and Carl picked up the company car, then he pulled around picking up JC and me. We then headed to the company’s office in town. Carl and JC went shopping while I was attending to the business at hand. When I finished with the meeting, I called Carl on the cell phone. I said, "I'm ready." Carl… "I'm out front, waiting here for you, Charlie, with a good looking hunk sitting here with me." I chuckled at Charlie,

    Chapter 11

Well that phone call changed our plans, Greg and Carrie would take Cowboy, and go to Munich later, and I would take care of the meeting in Honolulu. My crew would be Richard, Carl, Clyde, and others. We would be taking Buckaroo. I turned toward JC saying, “Sorry, but some unexpected business in Honolulu, I have to attend a short business meeting this afternoon.” I hated doing this to JC. JC…”How do you plan on going?” I smiled at him, thinking to myself, he’ll take one of his planes, how s

    Chapter 10

Charlie… I looked at him standing there in the doorway, in all his gorgeous glory, knowing where this was going, or at least, where I hoped it was going. I stood up and walked over toward him saying, "Are you absolutely sure this is what you want?” I Knew it was what I wanted, and for sure it was what I needed, but was it right? Was it lusting for his beee-u-tee-ful body? Whatever it was, my manhood was straining to be released from the confinements of my clothing. JC approached saying, "

    Chapter 9

Charles… I thought… Why did he do that? My god I am old enough to be his dad and what would his parents think, his dad already hates me for what James and I had become. Just looking into JC's eyes I could see he was scared to death of what he just did, or was he scared of my rejection? My god my guts were tied in a million knots. I said to myself, “Speak to him, now before he turns and runs off, I know he is embarrassed,” I could see it in his face. He was turning a bright shade of red. My

    Chapter 8

Chapter 8 I went into my room, and undressed. I knew that I was not going to get much sleep, with the problem that was looking up at me, I tried to will it away, but the more I tried, the harder it seemed to get. I was tired, and JC was just across the hall. I was imagining us together then an eerie feeling came over me, like something or someone was watching me. I got out of bed, put on my robe, then stumbled around the house, looking for a flashlight; not wanting to wake JC by turning on

    Chapter 7

I called Greg back telling him, "Greg we have to be in Denver Saturday by 9:30 p.m. at the general aviation terminal. JC will be meeting us there when he comes in from Honolulu . He will be arriving at gate 32; he will get to general aviation on his own. I want to take Buckaroo, I think Cowboy, would be a little bit too brash and flashy, with James's portrait meeting him in the face. What do you think of that?" Thinking about what Charles just said, "Charles’ I think just the opposite, I thi

    Chapter 6

I was just sitting here daydreaming. "It’s good to be on Cowboy again," I said, Chuckling aloud at that thought. I feel so secure and comfortable, and there is closeness to James when I’m here. Maybe it’s the painting, maybe its Cowboy, maybe it’s just an old man that just doesn’t want to let loose of the past. For whatever reason I’m happy and content. Greg, hearing me chuckle asked, "what are you laughing at Charles?" Seems like the boss is in a good mood. "Was just thinking about how de

    Chapter 5

Life goes on . . . It's been a long time since I lost my love, but we must live on. It took me a couple of years before I could sleep through the night. Being alone in bed dreaming of Jim, and how much I longed for him, his warmth, his smile and those deep dark blue eyes. I still to this day, look up at Casper Mountain, thinking of him, and whispering under my breath. "I'll always love you cowboy, someday. We’ll be together again," The company reverted to me as the sole owner. James had not m

    Chapter 4

The holidays were great. With my love and his family’s support, I came through them with only a few short lapses into despair. The New Year was ahead, and we had places to go, and things to see. I wanted to establish some new holdings around the world, and my love was going to become more then just my consultant. I wanted us to be able to spend, as much time, enjoying life, as we could. The last five years were, to say the least, trying. Yes, Jim and I had committed to each other last week. Exch

    Chapter 3

After a wonderful night of making love, I felt my cowboy lying next to me. His back was against my chest, my cock was resting in his warm canyon; getting hard. I put my mouth to his ear, and whispered, "Are you awake my love?" No answer, I spoke a little louder. "Are you awake love?" Jim moved saying; "I am now! Your a crazed sex fiend!" as he turned over to face me. I planted a big wet kiss on his lips. "What’s on your mind today, besides sex?" He mumbled. I then tickled him and sai

    Chapter 2

The warmth of our bodies, cuddled together, was so wonderful, so totally different from any experience, I had ever had before. It was like I had died, and gone to heaven, with my true love. I was now staring into his beautiful blue eyes, oh how deep blue they were. Jim smiled and said, "A penny for your thoughts!" I just smiled at him, still gazing into those deep blue eyes. "It won’t cost you that, but Can we just stay like this tonight, I feel so loved, so safe, so everything, and so s

    Chapter 1

Chapter 1 Casper, Wyoming 1956, I was in High School, and I fell in love with James, we were both Juniors, of course, James didn't know that I had fallen in love with him, at the time. I was much to scared to even consider approaching him, or trying to tell him. What a beautiful boy, he was. James R Andersen was (yes, I even know his Birthday and where he was born. It helps having other friends, working in the school office). He was a real athlete. He was on the swim team, baseball team, and

    Prologue

Prologue As I awakened, I seemed to be in a daze, as someone was gently shaking me. I felt something touching my shoulder; forgetting for the moment that I was floating on air with the sounds of a low roar in my ears. Then I remembered, as the flight attendant was telling me to buckle up, we are on final approach to Paris . Oh what a beautiful young man, he looked to be in his early thirties. He was the mirror image of someone that was so dear to me, many years ago, it was is if time stood s
