    Almost forgot! The mystery of why the amphiptere grabbed Rhyad even though he was already mated: That particular amphiptere has the gift of foresight. He envisioned the scene of being surrounded by the whelps.

    Warning: Whelps hatching. Warm and fuzzy feelings. The months seemed to fly by. Emery and I had moved out of the Vesper estate into the Tesran estate. My brother felt forlorn about it until he realized just how quickly he could visit us whenever he donned his wyvern form. In my wyvern form, I laid and began to incubate seven eggs.     Warning: Squill smut? The Walkers agreed to officially spend the night at the estate. They were given permission to roam the grounds, though specific instructions were given to the whelps for safety since there were, indeed, some poisonous plants around. We would all see them off in the morning. Emery and I checked on the greenhouses. Our inspection was nowhere near as thorough as usual because we kept distracting one another with a touch, a glance, or a conversation.

    There is only one teeny tiny invisible hint as to why, but it's never spelled out (I would be shocked if anyone guesses it right). When we get to that scene, I will probably state the amphiptere's reasoning in the author notes.

    Yes on learning to fly, no on the parents having orchestrated any of this. That particular amphiptere had its reasons for bringing Rhy over despite him being mated. That reason is never really explained, but hinted at towards the end.

    Owin wasn’t the one that shot lightning out of his mouth. If he had a power manifest, he’d have been grabbed, too.
