Yep, street boys have no age, they range from the young to teens.

    Chapter 6

I spoke to them, they said that they didn't want to relive that part of their lives. They now have a chance to forget it, they are in a better place. The street was tough, you lived in fear, hunger was your constant companion, now we don't have to worry about that. We have a chance to be someone. We have some one who cares about us and we care about him,

    Chapter 6

Some of the boys are older, one has their driving license. I would think, with the community support, and the boys thinking they have landed in heaven, supervision might not be needed.

    Chapter 6

If I was some community active, I would be careful. With the support he has, that individual or organization might find themselves in a poor situation. I think in a real life situation, he probably would be required to be inspected, he may find he will get some monetary support, from the families if Social Services could track them down. I doubt if they would take the kids away. Public opinion would be against them.

    Chapter 6

I lived in Virginia for several years and I found the people very warm. They have a compassion to help. or so it seemed to me, being a northerner.

    Chapter 6

Arriving home, the question of what to do with the girl. Paul solved that problem, he and Todd would move to a tent, and the girl could have their room. Problem solved, I was ready for bed. Breakfast in the morning was cereal with fruit and orange juice. James arrived with blueprints for the dormitory. I looked them over while James explained them. I agreed and signed the contract. My audience had to see them as well, “We approve, Dad.” I smiled at James. “That very afternoon before we l

    Chapter 5

When I lived in Buffalo, they had a similar program. It seems that a lot of the stores have that. When I lived in Florida, the supermarkets would remove fresh vegetable that were approaching their sell by date and donate them to a soup kitchen. These acts of kindness never get the attention and support that they should.

    Chapter 5

“We left a few minutes before 2 pm, which meant we’ll arrive between 5:30 and 6. “When we get to the park, I’d like you boys to check to see if any boys are there. If not, we will move to another place. If you see anyone walking the streets or hanging around a place to eat, and they look hungry, let me know.” Arriving at the park, the boys left the food truck, I waited. A policeman walked up to the window and wanted to see my permit. I told him I didn’t have a permit. He said I’d need a lice

Where did you get Jim, it's Jeff. Just so you don't think you are seeing something not there, I corrected it. Thanks, for bringing it to my attention. I could have said I did it on purpose to determine how my readers are paying attention. I could, but I made an error and I'll go and stand in the corner for 15 minutes.

    Chapter 4

Good question, what is salvation? Peace of mind, knowing you have contributed to a better world, given a child a chance to realize their dreams, help a person to live. to show love to your fellow man? Maybe all of these and yet maybe none of these. One of the opportunities these comments like yours give me, is a chance to expand my philosophies. To answer your question, For Jeff, yes. 😉

    Chapter 4

I was up early, had the coffee on, sausages in the oven, and was just about ready to make scrambled eggs when Paul and Roy came down. “Good morning, boys. How did you sleep?” “We slept very well. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to be able to sleep and not worry about someone disturbing you or stealing your stuff.” “As soon as the rest of the boys are up, we’ll have breakfast. Have you showered?” I guess not. I gave them a glass of orange juice and told them to take a shower

    Chapter 3

The numbers are staggering. Thinking about what the world is losing, a scientist, a poet, an artist , a musician. Talent that could add to the world, lost on the street. A terrible legacy of this world.,
