    Chapter 5

He smiled as he took my hand, and we left to find a restaurant without going back down to the coast. We were lucky; two flight of steps down was a cafe that overlooked the sea. It took three days before we had everything we needed to move into the house. I found someone to take in the laundry and a housekeeper. Geno was very valuable in the selection process. The first night we left our windows open and the door to the balcony. The cool breeze made sleeping a welcome relief of the busy d

    Chapter 4

Thomas has been transferred to Italy. I believe that Thomas has or will adopt Geno, he may have that in the works, but with the way he treats Geno I've the feeling that adoption is in the cards.

    Chapter 4

Arrangements were made, Angelo told Geno what we were going to do. He was a little scared of his uncle, and it showed in his eyes. We arrived at the tourist hotel Angelo had booked for us. “Angelo, we need to find a lawyer and get this started. Not sure how long it’ll take to resolve.” That afternoon we canvased the lawyers registered in the village. We called Giulio again and asked for his opinion on the lawyers in the town. He suggested two that he remembered seeing at a meeting in Palermo

    Chapter 3

Thomas isn't licensed to practice in Italy, that is why they have a company lawyer. I agree the Uncle and family are despicable. But Geno came out ahead and with some money in the bank as well.

    Chapter 3

After an overnight flight, “Angelo, thanks for meeting me. It’s good to be here and best of all on vacation.” “We’ll drive down to the coast. My apartment is small, but I think you’ll be comfortable.” The drive was comfortable, but if you’ve ever driven in Italy, they all think they are NASCAR drivers. I decided I’d enjoy the views and not try to distract Angelo from his driving. There were a few times y when I held my breath. Angelo was correct; the view as we approached Positano wa

That is true. Generally after the first interview, there's a second and even a third, before an offer is made. Sometimes the hiring manager decides this candidate is to good to let go, then an offer is made on the spot.

    Chapter 2

I flew out from a different country, so I never did see the flight crew on my original flight to Europe. My dad met me at the airport, “How was your trip?” “Fantastic, I have to go back. I didn’t have the time to see many places, and I never got to any places in southern Europe. You and Mom would have enjoyed it.” “Maybe when I retire.” I just smiled. My dad will never retire. Everything I told Dad I had to repeat for mom. I was okay with that. I loved to retell my exploits because,
