The boat will need some modification and Colin has an addition for the boat.

I think you may have jumped ahead. But the girls were adopted along with four boys.

He does and he is well rewarded for keeping it. I should be so lucky

Arriving back home, “We will need to take the boys from the Home fishing.” “It’ll take several trips to give all the boys a chance.” “How many can you take at one time?” “There are chairs along both sides of the rear deck, we could take 20 boys. Our boys can help them with their lines and keep an eye on the traps. How many boys would want to go?” “I’ll ask Tommy. He can make a count.” Nonna came over with a few of the boys’s friends. She said they all couldn’t make it bu

With the home, Armand and Colin made two changes. The first, girls no longer leave the Home when they reach a certain age. And the second, no child is forced to leave the Home. Two boy who are 19 and working with Charles still live at the Home. Armand and Colin, work closely with Pat concerning those children who need the special love the Armand and Colin can give. Yes it is hard to walk away knowing that all of the children need a parent. Colin and Armand provide as much attention to them as possible, trips, parties, spending time with them. Getting other people involved, i.e. Charles and some of his men, Mary and her girls club. Colin and Armand include them in group activities, fishing, attending ball clubs. I understand your point, but until other people step up, these two are doing all they can. The situation you described still exists today.

At least as long as they are healthy, Armand's philosophy, is a child needs special help, he will be there.

At first IGG was special for Armand but as his family grew so did her intercession with all of them. I imagine the children were concerned when they were adopted, a new home, a large family, another upset for these children. GG provided a calming influence and love, as she did for the original four. The older boys stepped up to the task and would make sure the new members were protected , loved and to feel the atmosphere and love of a family.

Yes, and for the boys as well, the older boys looking out for the younger boys.
-
Yes and it will be a contest to see which group spoil those girls. Of course the grandparents will be pitching in as well
-
Right, she spoke to the older boys when they were young, the grandmother who came to them in their sleep. I think GG will be with them their whole lives.
-
Not only did the older boys pitched in, they are developing a close bond with their younger brothers.

He is a brother who understands his responsibility. I'm sure he will go on the trip. It'll be a short trip, probably no more than 3 weeks in total.
-
By going further north to fish they were in cold water which is perfect for the h=fish they caught. It was a good thing the boys were strapped in. From personal experience, the cod from this area is excellent.

Arriving home, the older boys had a surprise for us. They moved their rooms from the second floor to the third floor. According to Richie they thought the younger boys should be closer to Colin and I. Colin was surprised how the older boys took over their responsibility as older brothers. Marie became Aunt Marie, even Richie called her that. “I thought that the older boys would have resentment for our growing family.” “Why would you think that?” “Well, the time we share with

Yes, Tommy has been spending a lot of time at the Home. I believe that he will be Pat's replacement but I'm not sure. Young men change their minds a lot. 😀

Mom's friends are older, they are mom's age. For them to take on raising a child, would be stretching it. They treat the kids as grandchildren. I agree it is sad. I think Armand recognizes that. The children he adopts, have specific problems that Pat has evaluated. I think that is also why Armand and Colin spread a lot of time at the Home. They provide for these children, swimming pool, play ground, getting other people involved to assist. They take them on trips, these children have advantages that a lot of children families can't afford to provide.
-
You are right. Each child is different and in this case there are 6 divergences. Each of these new adoptions will pose a different problem for Armand and Colin. They have two backups, the older children and GG.
-
Not sure that will happen. A serious problem with a lot of people is the attitude' if they are being taken care of, here is a donation, thank you , good bye.' I noticed recently there are a lot of ads supporting adoption of children, but I don't have faith that people who watch these ads are moved. They will have excuses, costs to much, food prices are to high. we aren't equipped to have a child. They will always come up with a reason.

Almost over night. Colin and Armand are an example for the boys later in life.
-
Yes, Armand couldn't turn these two away. "I can't abandon her again"

School had been out for one week, now it was golf at least once a week, driving lessons for Ronnie, swimming classes for the boys and the children at the Home. When they didn’t have any planned activities, the boys kept themselves busy. Ronnie driving lessons, Ivan was working in the garden, at home and at the Home, Richie went to work with Colin and Tommy spent his free time at the Home. I finished those paintings. I had started and never finished. Roger’s students would drop by and watch,

Life is like that, when you think evey thing is going a ,one smooth, you will find a bump. In reality that is what makes life interesting. Let's see how their family adjusts.
-
Yes, you are right. Talent can be shown at a very young age. If it is there, Armand will find it and help her to develop it, probably with GG's help.
-
I believe that Armand never contemplated the agony Arnaud experienced. He will set prices before accepting future portraits.
