    Chapter 21

Nietzsche is probably advising Porvus, even as we speak!

    Chapter 21

The pattern here is that the enemy side does not have unlimited resources to throw at Jamie and party. That all of this takes place in a fallen-down world must be remembered.
  3. In the morning, they broke their fast in the dining hall and and then met in the common room so that Jamie could work with Bastyin to enlarge his magickal skill set. It was easy to show the Lachess mage a variety of locks to be used for both defensive and offensive purposes, and in very short order Jamie felt the young man could be expected to at least hold his own during any confrontation. Bastyin was eager to learn, and his talent was sure, and Jamie planned to add to that arsenal of knowledge

    Chapter 20

We don't know the food dispensers could make just about any dish, if set to do that. I think if Jamie saw a pizza like this one, they would find a way to get one!

    Chapter 20

I've heard of magical babes in the woods, but no one ever mentioned having them lined up on a sofa before!

    Chapter 20

The guys are just speculating now. Those guesses will evolve as the fact become more clear. Hopefully!

Pretty much the way Jamie feels, too!

    Chapter 20

Fear in the totally unscrupulous can be a dangerous thing!

    Speculation is fun, isn't it?

    Chapter 20

Jamie already understands some of the magick used to heal by engaging the body's dna to assist. He could very likely work out a way in time to help the prince on his own. But I also explained that each mage has an individual signature to his magick, not easily circumvented by another mage (translocation into the castle keep). At this point it is not possible to reverse what Urvan did. There certainly might be other ways to return the prince to the way his was, but now Jamie and the others are focused on, well, other things. Wanda has a pizza place next to her shop. She didn't get dumpy on her own!

    Chapter 20

I guess you can't have a quest story without the characters experiencing growth on the journey. Or meeting others that join them along the way. In that respect, this story is formulaic. I just hope its individual traits will set it somewhat apart from the run of the mill.

    Chapter 20

I find the idea that it could be easy to kill repugnant. But I can also see where it could become a necessity. I'd prefer never to have to make that decision.

    Chapter 20

Al of this will, hopefully, end well.

    Chapter 19

Well, everyone is automatically thinking person. It could just be a dead treef that wandered in from the street.

    Chapter 19

I agree with you on that. But I also see where other outdated measurement systems are still in use, or at least remembered, because we humans are just so unwilling to give up the stuff we're comfortable with!

    Chapter 19

@Al Norris usually makes sense to me, too.
