I read The Lensman series as a kid. I did not borrow that technology at all from Smith's tales, other than the name. Jamie made his own version...he and Garvin. As it was a focus for Jamie's talent's, the name seemed obvious to me.

True, true. At some point I will have to sit down and read the entire series over. I think that might help with future entries. My notes are considerable, but I can't remember every idea I have put into the series. There have to be paths I did not pursue, characters I have let languish, and possible story lines that still need to be explored. Perhaps this rather throwback winter we're experiencing here would be a good time to start?

It would be nice if 'good' always won the day. But sometimes, we just have to settle for a quick getaway and a chance to come back later!

Thank you for the encouragement. I do like Charlie and the gang. They are free to do a lot of the things I would have loved to do at their age. I just never could quite get a good handle on my skwish!

Thanks, Doc. I'm happy you enjoyed it. Imagination really is a wonderful companion to have in life. I first imagined a variation on this story while in my teens. It refused to go away until I put it down in print. Now, I am happy that I did.

Hitchcok would have loved it until he saw himself walking his dogs in one scene, and knew it hadn't really been him! Yeah, it is a little scary to think that even our faces are no longer our own to share or deny.

Actually, I usually post the CB stories on TSL after they are completed. I was dealing with medical issues for six months this year, and didn't finish this story! I have resumed writing on it, and hope for completion soon. After that, I will still post it on TSL. It was not a deliberate snub. I just usually post on GA and Iomftas as chapters appear, and only on TSL upon completion. It'll get there!
