@Lisa you are a master (mistress) of under statement, lol! The Miracle, Jaemin, Sterling, relationships are intriguing. Miracle finds something very strong that he gets from Jaemin, and I think it's the bad boy strength and obsessive love. A kind of guarantee that Jaemin is not going away. But is that real? Sterling has grown in strength and that relationship is still very much alive. Sterling asked Miracle if he still loved him, "I do, not a bit less." A heavy breath was pulled in and exhaled nervously. "I'll be seeing you, Sterling." And that response tells us their relationship is in no way over. I actually think if they do have another sexual encounter it will be explosive. And the chapter finishes with Kyler. What is going on there? -

I'm commenting on the replies to comments, how convoluted is that? Probably on par with the story. More often than not the devil hides in Christianity and the Church, but if you believe in salvation through the Church, then perhaps Cody does offer hope? Matured in the sense of being more adequately able to deal with situations, perhaps! But the more I get to know him, the more I start to realise he's totally self-centred. Think about it. Everything is about him. What he needs, what he wants. Did Sterling use Miracle or was it the other way around? He tells Jaemin he can wait: "Lets just go home." "I don't want to." Miracle said. "Just give me the keys." "What do you mean you don't want to? Miracle, I love you, I fought him for you." Jaemin shook his head. "What's wrong?" "What's wrong is that I'm sad and there are to many fucking reasons why." Didn't he basically just dump Jaemin to go off with Cody? Leave aside the fact Jaemin is a psycho, because we the readers know that, but Miracle doesn't. Whilst he might be better away from Jaemin, he drops him because of what he wants. Miracle ignores other people's feelings, he does it all the time, with everybody. It's pretty screwed up, but the only thing he's ever given anybody is his body, and even then, it was because he needed them to love him. -

What I love about this book, is the surreal nature of the characters and plot. It's like super interesting, you can't really know what will happen, because it can take an unexpected, and an accountable dramatic twist at anytime. I mean it's really out there having Miracle's birth mother over to stay and she opens the door on him and Jaemin. But that's what makes this book so different, unique and entertaining. -

Great short story, but it really should be chapter one, because it's just getting started. Who is he? Where is he? More importantly, why is he locked up? Do they save Gemini? How long would it take to find a Mrs Fitzpatrick in a Lincoln Elementary School? Is it even today, the event he witnessed? Maybe if happened years ago? So many unanswered questions....

It's true, of course, that Miracle is seeking love through sex, but it's more than that. He's pursuing something that never gives him what he's looking for, and he knows, but cannot resist. He can't accept the real love of Sterling, because he's scared he will get hurt, but with Brad he does get hurt, but ignores it. He doesn't get Kyle, or what he's saying, he easily drops into the pattern he knows. It's very easy to accept drugs from Brian, just like it would be easy to have had sex with him. Miracle is dysfunctional, a switch switches, but doesn't connect. Bipolar? Perhaps.

Insecurity, perhaps that word haunts this story and the characters in it. Sterling wants more than friendship from Miracle and is jealous of Brad. Brad certainly uses Miracle, but his reactions are out of a sense of self-preservation. He cannot be seen to be gay, Bi, weak and insecure, and he's going to manipulate Miracle to get that floppy disc blackmail evidence. Miracle is not all sweet and vulnerable, he can be vindictive. Martha doesn't give Miracle what he needs, but they gave him a home. We don't know enough about his adoptive parents to judge and condemn them. Miss Carter, we will wait to find out. No one is perfect, I wouldn't be too quick to throw stones, we are all people living in glass houses!

There are a lot of opinions in these comments, difficult to address them all, or in any detail. Looking at gay promiscuity and defining it by a monogamous norm, is a bit askance. Monogamy is a Christian invention, not a normal human condition. Does Miracle confuse sex with love? I don't think so. He is searching for love and sex is a vehicle. I think he knows that the two don't go hand in hand, but he desperately hopes that he will find love. Was Hunter's reaction to the video tape too passive? Why does everyone always assume self-righteous anger. In reality it is much more complex than good and bad, besides Hunter wants to help his little brother, and his little brother chose not to do anything with that tape.

The chapter was perfect. I sincerely hope you never listened to the demand for more graphic sex, "he fucked him hard." That's someone else's fantasy. The scenes were too short, you could have squeezed more out of it, explored more. No, it was just right. We are gradually getting to know who Miracle is, and it rings true, brilliantly true, brilliantly described. The Brad scene didn't work. Worked perfectly fine for me, was an insight. How many times do those high school scenes between the jocks and the nerds turn into a punching match? This was refreshingly different, and why wasn't it believable? God I'm so glad you had thirty chapters in the bag as you rolled it out. Otherwise you'd be pulled from pillar to post trying to meet other peoples expectations and desires. Which is a great big joke, because it's kind of what the story is about! -

It's great, it's intriguing, it's very real, and it's well written. This is looking like one of those stories you can't put down. The writing style is unique, and I'm loving it. I know it's unfair to all those would be authors out there, but I wonder why we have to sometimes plough through so much mediocrity (I nearly wrote trash, but wanted to at least be kind) to find a great story like this. -
It was a great opening prologue, and yes to all of the above, I want to know how they got there, who was in the car, what the hell happened. From a writing styles point of view it has to be the best ever use of a prologue to introduce a story. Usually I hate prologues, they are boring information dumps for writers that need you inside their universe before they can continue with the story. This was different, the exception, more like the movie that starts with the scene near the end, the book will now show us how the protaganists arrived there, and take us past, to the ending, brilliant!

The book has been edited by @Carlos Hazday, who I was very lucky to find as an editor, and thanks to the work he put in, we have eliminated most of the errors and tidied up the words. A good editor is like gold dust, very hard to find. I hope you enjoy the book as much the second time around.
