    Hi D Dave, Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the characters will re-surface at some point. I'm sure we'll find out more about Scotty, and Chris's relationship with Doc Russ seems to be on early solid footing.

    Rocco and his goons knew where Evan lived, and were only interested in getting the bank numbers to loot Marv's accounts. The timeline from Ch. 15 was simultaneous with Ch 16 (Thursday early evening in Chicago), so the FBI/AOI didn't know at the time who might be (if that was the case) going after Evan. Scotty's presence was indeed a very lucky break.

    I agree that a meandering sequence in the various stories can be confusing for a new reader when characters appear from previous material. However, I'm glad the footnote prompted you to go to the Splash series. As far as Rory is concerned, I'm sure he's making some 'bubba' happy in the lockup. )
