Sand.
Just an endless stretch of sand. Beds of gray grains made up the wide expanse before him. Above it all was the sun, or rather, a sun. A sun that dwelled among the skies and never gave way for any nighttime satellites. The eternal, late evening orange was a beautiful sight.
A welcoming sight even, considering the bleak events prior.
The run-down bunker behind him, from which he had emerged, was the only thing for miles. Light years.

His body, for the past four h
