I really liked this. A bit sad that the main character was “filled with self-pity and doubt” in his last moments, but it reinforces the point that it’s not about what the critics around us think or making them happy. It has to be about ensuring you, the individual, are content with your choices.

So many thoughts… emotions… swirling around in my head and heart. Halfway through reading, I automatically started to compare and contrast Jon and Charlie. On the surface, both are commanding… both provide physical pain in some form or another… Lev obeys both unquestioningly… yet their approaches make them completely different. One demands respect in such a cruel manner, the other doesn’t have to resort to those tactics because while they command respect they also give it back. Jon listens to Lev and gives him what he wants/needs instead of taking like Charlie. One is a strictly physical connection, the other is physical and cerebral. One gives him a choice, the other doesn’t. Some people probably think of Charlie and Lev when they hear BDSM, instead of going deeper and realizing that Jon and Lev exist in that world too. While at times it was a tough read, I found this to be an excellent example of perception vs. reality and really enjoyed it…..Cee

I have recently discovered tim's writing through his amazing poetry. I have not yet had a chance to read any of these stories, but look forward to reading them and more.
