Reilly had to admit he was shaken. He and Kellan had known since they were fifteen that Reilly was destined to be mated to an Alpha. His first and only shift had revealed that he was a Kappa, which had not only shocked them, but Reilly’s family as well. His father was Alpha of his and Kellan’s pack and was furious when he found out. Alpha-Kappa pairings were extremely rare, but as far as anyone could remember they had always been male-female pairings. It was well known that Kappas could only be

The heavy glass door of the apartment building was pulled open and the sound of heels clicking on the polished terrazzo floor echoed off of the high walls of the lobby. A svelte figure with long, blonde hair, almost white, crossed over to the elevator and a slim finger with nails painted light pink furiously stabbed at the up button for the apartment’s elevator, not that hammering at it relentlessly would make the damn thing come any faster. Reilly was pissed and when Kellan got home, all

How does a simple, low key life get turned upside down? Easy. Mix up six shifters, missing pups, three packs, a few bad guys, some messed up family dynamics, and maybe a cliffhanger (or two?) That's how.

I'm on board for all of it except the sweaters. I'll substitute a holiday t-shirt. Enjoy every tradition you have, your little one will always remember. We got a new tree last year similar to that. It has six or seven settings, white or multi-colored, steady or blinking. My son promised to help out seeing how I'm working 6 days a week and hubby has mandatory overtime. Pretty sure the ornaments will end up clumped together, but that's what makes it endearing. I'm usually done by this time. I feel lucky to have gotten the outside lights up. I'll work on the inside a little at a time.

If anyone would have told me last year that I'd be the one outside climbing an 8ft ladder a couple of dozen times stringing Christmas lights up on the house after doing 45 minutes on the elliptical, I would've told them they were nuts. But lo and behold, 80 feet of lights are hung. December and I was sweating my tail off the whole time. Only in Florida do you need sunscreen to put up Christmas decorations. I'm beat but still have to clean the living room and figure out how to rearrange the furniture so my son can work on the getting the tree done this week. We have an extra chair and loveseat that we didn't have last year. I think some Tetris skills are needed. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It was actually last night and yes, I had a great evening catching up. Lots of laughs, with a few snorts thrown in for good measure. An added bonus... I tried Keels Pecan Pie Hard Cider. OMFG. So good!

Have you ever worked with someone and from day one you just clicked? I had one of those co-workers at my last job. We jokingly called each other our 'work-wife'. I've missed her camaraderie, her wit and her really dirty sense of humor. We still text semi-regularly, but with everything going on the past two years, we've only seen each other once. That's about to change. We have a dinner date tonight, hopefully hubby can make it if he's not too tired. It's going to be an evening of good food, a few adult beverages and best of all, catching up with a good friend. I'm looking forward to it. Lately I've been a little down in the dumps and today I have something to look forward to. I hope everyone is having a good day!

Congratulations to you and SP. Wishing you both lots of love and happiness! xo

You got this Fae...... and you have SP ❤! Enjoy the day and each other.

Thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I've been gone from MA for 23 years but still think of it as 'home'. Working on the shifter story later.

Things I learned today: 1. Cleaning out the garage is a major task (but I got about half done). 2. Cleaning out the garage will induce tears when I come across a box of stuff my older son left behind. Stuff from kindergarten and first grade. Yes, nostalgia makes me cry. 3. Cleaning out the garage makes you itch when you have to bag up the old AC insulation that the installers left behind. 4. I still hate spiders! (Lots of them in a garage that hasn't hasn't been cleaned out in 1.5 years) 5. No matter how how much stronger I've gotten since going to the gym.... Cleaning the garage makes my back and hips ache. Ugh. 6. I'm proud of myself for tackling this mess in the first place. Hubby just started mandatory overtime. 12 hour shifts, 5 nights a week. I won't see much of him for the next month and we have to juggle 2 cars with 3 people working, but it's doable. Tomorrow I'll work on the rest of the garage and next weekend tackle the Christmas decorations. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend. It's time for me to chill with some whiskey, maybe write a little bit, and take the puppers for a walk.

There's nothing wrong with vanilla. But sometimes you just gotta have some sprinkles too! I'm glad you're enjoying the story! (Although you might want to skip 'Raising the Limit' and 'Pushing the Limit'. Both involve a non-vanilla relationship. 'A Tattoo for Lex' and 'When Opportunity Knocks' are more traditional romance stories. I'm also branching out and am almost done with a shifter story, so hopefully by Christmas I'll have it ready to start posting 🤞)

Enjoy your day, whether it be with friends or family. Be thankful you're not a pug dressed up like a turkey!

I've been working out.... with weights even, consistently, since August. I was almost wishing I had the 60lbs back that I lost, just to use as leverage against my stubborn neep. I did get the upper hand finally. Happy boiling Kitt!

Awww.... Going back a couple of days to when @mollyhousemouse asked to hear about something good that happened, well, that day wasn't particularly good, but today one of my Canadian residents who just got back brought me a can of pure maple syrup. Grade A amber. It's in a can, which I don't ever recall seeing before. Plastic bottle, yes. Glass bottle, yes. I guess I need to find my pointy can opener thingy. Hubby and I are going to see The Eternals tonight. Yup, another Marvel movie. 😏🙄🤐 Hope everyone had a good day!

Please let tim know I'm sending good thoughts his way. The hardest roads to travel are usually the longest. It's good that he's improving. Take care of yourself too. xo

I just realized that I spent pretty much my entire life thinking rutabaga was turnips. Those big, waxy yellow brown things? Yeah..They're really rutabaga. Turnips are the smaller purple and white things. Mind blown.

Thanks Reader!! That definitely helped. They had a video that explained the difference between the types. My son asked for one for Xmas and I had no clue where to start. The one these ladies recommended is on sale from Kohls for $69.99 and I had $30 in Kohl's cash so I got it for $39.99. I like those kind of deals. It'll probably cost me more to ship it to him. 😆 Of course I had to order one for myself 😏😊 Thanks Rick! I will definitely try some of these out. Looking forward to seeing how they come out.

They're done, and they're not too bad roasted. Definitely better than boiled. Now the apple pie (with Fireball of course) is in the oven.

My husband says it's not Thanksgiving without mashed turnips and carrots. I can take it or leave it. This year I'm roasting them instead of boiling to death. Maybe it'll help?

All reasons why I'm a dog person...lol

I'm off today. Which means I'm cooking. Trying to get everything but the turkey cooked for Thursday. Couple of questions: Does anyone use an air fryer? If so, pros and cons? Also, turnips [rutabaga here in the south] ... who the hell first decided "Hey this stuff stinks to high heaven, let's cook it and eat it!" Hope everyone has a decent Monday!

I tried the random.org number generator that Cia mentioned in the article about trying a new genre. I got 106. Espionage. Hmmmmm.... should I try it?

Well, I've had my mom all of three hours. Her dementia is even worse than it was 3 weeks ago. It breaks my heart. She cried when I told her supper was ready. She cried when I said I couldn't bring her home until tomorrow. However, when I gave her a cookie she smiled brightly. If only a cookie could bring back her mind. 😪
