I sort of cringe when I re-read these first few chapters. The bouncing POVs now makes me shudder. Luckily it was pointed out to me nicely and I think I fixed it starting with one of the next chapters. Won't be making that mistake again! Live and learn. I had fun writing their meeting. Ben has a wry sense of humor. I like him. Caleb found the whole thing funny as hell...lol.

I just had five days of almost complete silence in my house. Husband and son were both away. It was so cathartic. A balm to my soul that was desperately needed. Sometimes silence is the best sound there is. I try not to look inside myself too much. Most days are okay, but self doubt always threatens to snuff out the light I let in. Sometimes all in the same chapter😉 I've read all your comments so far and figured I'd just give one response to address everything. So here goes: Binging-by all means go for it! Authors love to see their notifications blow up as someone voraciously tears through chapters like fat kid let loose in a candy store. Reilly's sperm donor and a Kappa's worth- Let's just go with the man is an ass and is blinded by his homophobia. He's not stupid though (not a genius either but...). His evilness comes into play later. 🤐 Torture- pretty much everyone of my books has a character who suffers at some point. Physically, mentally or emotionally. Nothing is off limits in my world. I even made a kid lose both legs in a car accident. Granted the kid handles it well. He's a tough sarcastic little sh*t and I love him to death. (No he doesn't die..lol) Cliffies- my absolute favorite! I'm currently working on the sequel to this story and the chapter I'm on will end in a big cliffhanger. I don't want it to, but it has to. It's been in my head for a while now. I will proudly wear the Cliffie Queen crown my beta @Danilo Syrtis has bestowed upon me. I own that b**ch!🤣 Finally, reactions and comments- I love them. It's validation that I actually might know what I'm doing occasionally. I write for the pure enjoyment of it and knowing that there are readers out there who love and appreciate my stories makes my day. So by all means- hit the reaction button, comment, and if you're still loving the story by the end, we'll you know the drill....recommend and/or review! I've been watching my notifications blow up for the past few hours. Lol. One of the best compliments a writer can get is to see a reader binge one of their stories. I'm happy you enjoyed it! When one gets bitten, be it the writing bug, the artist bug, the music bug, the travel bug, there's an insane need to keep on doing whatever it is that inspired them. Keep on writing. Keep at it for as long as it remains something that brings you joy. Thanks for the reminder that youth is fleeting and to look back fondly on one's first love.

I'm rather pissed at the band directors. Outing any student in such a humiliating way is deplorable. They need to be fired. 🤬 In my experience bamd kids, for the most part are a pretty accepting and inclusive group. They certainly behaved better than the adult "chaperones".

I'm behind the eight ball. Been super busy with work and working on my next story. My characters just won't leave my brain alone! Speaking of characters, Jarrod and Connor are a really cute couple. Young love is special. Even with the sex there's an innocence that speaks of their youth. Neither has been jaded by the responsibilities of adulthood.
