Overall it was a pretty 💩 day for me too. One little thing after another, but even though it was all minor issues that kept piling up, I made it through and kept a positive attitude. I'll put that in the win column. Next.

I forgot my phone at home today. Surprisingly I wasn't as lost as I thought I'd be. My work phone however.... wish I could permanently lose it. One of my biggest pet peeves is when the phone rings, whoever is on the other line goes through all the prompts, listens to the message that you're out of the office or on another call, gets to the beep to leave a message and...... they hang up. WTF? Then they call back 4 more times withing the next 10 minutes and do the same damn thing! Meanwhile I'm on the phone with my boss trying to figure out what we can do about a title that's all messed up and he's Iike "you need to get that? Of course when I called the person back it was "Do you know when the trash pickup is next week. They don't pick up on Thanksgiving do they?" Idiots. I have a 3 day weekend. Taking care of mom tomorrow. It will be the first overnight since April. Have a good night everyone!

Shown numerous times and the rice could be sticky enough to form golf balls and stilll.... ugh. I won't even use a fork anymore. Soup spoon.... the perfect rice shovel!

Ahhhh... go back and read 'Wait. What, the Devil is Gay?' That was a really short story (1000 words) that I posted for the June Pride Flash Fiction Challenge (and won☺) That covers their first meeting. This is NOT going to be a full fledged story. These guys will only be popping in and out of each other's lives (and my head) sporadically, hence, it's under the 'series' blanket. I have no idea what they're going to be up to next, only time will tell! Good to hear from you trvlbug!

I think I'm going to go do some Christmas shopping for the office. @Wayne Gray I think your insistent need to write a certain scene is contagious. Lucifer and Gabriel jumped into my brain to say hi and now I've added a new badge to the collection. They're going to be a series. I can't picture a whole story line for them. Their relationship is sort of complicated. I guess they'll gift me with their presence on their own timeline. Hope y'all have a good day!

This morning.... Me: Is it cold out? Hubby: Oh yeah! (Emphatically) Me: grabs phone to pull up weather app. It's 58 degrees. Not cold. Cool, but not cold. It's supposed to go up to 75 today so it's still sandal weather. Temps gotta drop below 50 before my feet will be subjected to the torture of socks all day. (Although I did get a really cute pair of $80 ankle boots on clearance for $16 ☺) Work started out by me discovering I'd missed a call on the emergency phone yesterday. Water leak that that luckily turned out to be the lake irrigation and not the county water. We would have had to shut off the water to the park if that had been the case. Add in the fact that my maintenance guys who are supposed to be on separate carts were both on one and neither one had grabbed their radio..... well just a little more than mildly annoying. Hope everyone has a good start to their week!

So this kid I saw yesterday has been stuck in my head..... slowly morphing into a character for a story. The dog walk stirred up a few ideas. Hmmmm... guess I'd better finish up the story I'm working on... I've already put it on hold for two years, and there's only a few more chapters... lol

Those are platform shoes... another type I can't wear. I'd fall flat on my face.

Yesterday on my way home from work I saw a young guy, looked to be maybe early 20s. His outfit was something I've never seen before. Loose jeans, bright yellow hoodie, and I kid you not, thigh high, black leather, at least 6 inch, weapon grade, stiletto boots, which he rocked like no one I've ever seen. Honestly I was a smidge jealous. I've never been able to wear heels higher than a couple of inches, plus my husband is short. But the whole combination of casual jeans and sweatshirt....with thigh high stiletto boots?.... this kid absolutely owned it! I was impressed. I'm not sure how he managed to get those boots on over baggy jeans. Mad skillz. I'm working half day tomorrow, then taking the next 2 Saturdays off. I need it. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I cannot wait! It's an amazing process for a writer to have an idea take hold insistently in his/her head. Sometimes the idea morphs into something wonderful, sometimes it fizzles. I have a really good feeling this will be something wonderful. ❤

At this point I'd take the risk.... I burned half my dinner... wasn't paying attention and blackened a tortilla into an utter crispy horror. I need a cookie!
