I will be channeling my inner Mama Bear mode and sending it telepathically. Those idiots don't stand a chance. This just fries me. I'm pissed off for you.
-
Does anyone remember where we kept the dog whistle for @weinerdog? Those lab techs will never see him coming and there won't be a single ankle thats safe from those teeth. We need @Gary L's pooches too.
-
What is the name of this lab? Never have I been more tempted to burn a place down to the ground. Also your dentist. They should have been advocating for you after the first screw up.
-
I beg to differ. Although cute, which is their only saving grace, every single dachshund I've met, read about, and seen online is the canine equivalent of a toddler whipping off his diaper and running hell bent for leather naked across the yard as fast as his little legs will take him with Mom or Dad chasing him while cursing up a storm.
-
Bad dog.
-
Just for that I think I'll hold off another month or two before I start posting my new story. Guess who the Krew will blame?
-
I have to admit. I'm enjoying editing this story. I still haven't read the last few chapters, but I've really had fun with this.
-
I had to read this chapter a second time because there was just too much that wasn't said yet came across louder than an atomic bomb. Speaking of atomic bomb....Detonation is what's coming. Right now Taggert is in a holding pattern. Rebecca gave him a mega download of info but not the whole picture. Once he knows exactly what holdings are his will determine his course of action. Then the you-know-what will hit the fan because dear old dad will find out. Boom. “And I'll fight, Ash. But not for that life." Taggert’s next words came even softer. "I'll fight for this one.” Yet another understatement. Thursday huh? Dammit.

So the plot thickens.....Mwaahaahaahaa. Because suddenly the entire shape of Taggert’s life had changed. This is a bit of an understatement. Throughout this entire chapter, you did a phenomenal job of showing the different emotions Taggert was shuffling like a Vegas dealer. I was trying to find the right word to describe this and all I could think of is 'metamorphosis' and thats not quite right but close enough. Ash saw it. Without Tag saying a single word, he saw how Taggert's demeanor went from humble ranch hand to knowledgeable ranch owner, and that scared him. Taggert was savvy enough to pick up on it...another switch in his demeanor so we can add concerned boyfriend to his persona. Taggert is shaping up to be a very complex, but sharp character. One of your strongest. Fantastic job on this chapter, Wayne!

Yup, you're right. I mixed up Sunday and Sunday and Friday with Saturday and Saturday. My bad.
-
I'm confused. I thought it was Saturday Sunday Sunday Friday Saturday Sunday Sunday?

Ash glared. “You wake up stupid, or do you work at it?” I swear there are multiple people I can ask this question too. Sadly, too many of them are family. If we're going down the wild speculation road, then I predict that Taggert will buy Eric's family ranch, the Fleming ranch, the Nassar ranch and just for shits and giggles find a way to include all of the Yoder ranch as part of his trust. He will then give dear old dad a choice; stay on Yoder ranch as the LBGTQ+ Youth Liaison and be in charge of mentoring a group of cute twinks with pink glitter cowboy boots and hats or retire to Florida and live in The Villages.

Moving to a four-day schedule, mainly because I'm excited about the direction the story is taking, and I want you to see it! That means the next chapter will post Sunday. But I will let it slide as it benefits us all. Of course you have to post right as I'm about to get supper started. I'll be back.

It's sad when you have to go no contact with a family member, but when someone accuses me of "taking over" because I moved some pictures, bought some cabinets for extra storage, put our large TV in the living room, threw out food that had been expired in excess of five years, rearranged some stuff in the kitchen to make it easier for me to cook for your mother, who, by the way, is the reason you sent out a boohoo text almost 2 years ago concerned about her not being able to do stuff by herself, so my husband sacrificed his life in Florida and moved here without me, granted we were having issues and the separation ended up being a good thing, then I made the decision to move back in order to salvage our marriage, which we've done, and you have the audacity to call us freeloaders when we shell out close to $2000 a month in groceries and incidentals directly related to caring for a 91 year old woman who has dementia, and instead of being an adult and actually talking to us because your mother told you that we yell at her, which, when we asked her if that's what she told you she denied it, you call us to throw false accusations at us. Guess what? You want to take over your mother's care, by all means do so. Have fun coming over everyday to give her meds, feed her, clean up after her, take care of her cat, and everything else we do on a daily basis. See how long you last. Blocked and deleted. Goodbye. Rant over. Rage mode downloaded, used and sent to trash folder. I hope everyone has a good day.

I for one plan on sitting back fueling the rumor mill with whatever I can think of while throwing in a smattering of truth. Just try figuring it out ..... -

Since when have you ever let that stop you? I do believe they have wi-fi Down Under. -
He does have a tendency to post these chapters as I'm heading out the door. Maybe you're on to something.

Chuckle for the day. We had new residents move in today and they have a cat. The cats name is:

Sorry about the tooth thing. Its been quite the rollercoaster with that. Hopefully it'll be over soon We're some 500ish miles from you and our skies are hazy-yellowish from the smoke. You can smell it in the air too. On top of the heat and humidity today it's kinda gross out there. Been one of those days.

Tag. The name still felt warm inside him. Ash is so far gone over this cowboy. The ranch had simply closed ranks around one of their own. The realization settled warm in his chest. Beside him, Taggert had noticed it too. This is a pivotal moment for Taggert. We know he's observant and seeing this is cementing the realization that the rest of the ranching world is not like the one he left. Taggert was watching Eric with an expression Ash recognized now. Not distance. Recognition. Like he understood exactly what it felt like when people cared for you before you believed you deserved it. Yep. I was right. After another second, Bert clapped one heavy hand briefly against Taggert’s shoulder. Not ownership. Not interrogation anymore. Acceptance. That one word-acceptance. That right there is really the only thing Taggert needs. The final scene between Ash and Taggert nails home the acceptance that Taggert craves. Great job Wayne!

And he knows very few people subscribe to newspapers anymore so that doesn't scare him. We probably need one of those collars they use for electric fences. They do deliver a pretty good zap.
