I hope that Dutch can find Miles' sister to give him some closure. We'll see where everyone ends up. I don't even know yet. I'm saving that for the epilogue which I haven't written yet.

I'm loving the speculation as to where everyone will end. There's only one certainty though and that's the fact that if nobody can distract that four-legged menace then the Korner will be a disaster area. So help me if there's a mess when I get around to posting the next chapter, there's gonna be hell to pay. If he pees on the floor I'm holding off for a whole week!

I don't see Troy living in the ranch house long term. But there's a lot of possibilities. Knowing Erik is on declining health, Troy may want to stay close or eventually convince his dad that heat and humidity is good for Parkinsons, after all, doctors encourage those with the disease to stay as active for as long as they can. What better place than a climate where you can be outside about 8 months of the year and having to deal with cold and snow 8 months of the year. Troy and Miles can buy a small ranch of their own or move to Florida and be close to Robbie and encourage Erik and Mrs. P to become snowbirds. Lots to think about.

Thanks. I don't think Miles has ever waivered in his love for Troy. He buried it, yes, but only so long as to deal with his trauma and process it. Troy thought he was over Miles, but in reality, it wasn't so.

Miles is willing to do whatever it takes to win Troy's trust again. The love has always been there. Troy needs to know he's in this for the long haul.

Just a possible forewarning. I might not get to post the next chapter until Sunday. My son and daughter-in-law will be here tomorrow for a quick visit and I only get Friday and Saturday with them. Sorry folks, they outrank you.

Awww...that brings back memories. Lex holds a special place in my heart as he was the first character that started living in my head rent free. While the number of years that I've lived in Massachusetts outnumber Florida, I'll always have a soft spot for the state that is a humidity riddled, hurricane target harboring swamp puppies in just about every body of water, piece of traffic clogged "paradise"

I haven't really given Dane or Dutch other than as fringe characters. I guess it's possible that they are close and discussed it way back when and maybe on passing since. Makes sense to me. Who goes where will work itself out how it's supposed to. Someone mentioned Robbie and Erik getting together ...another possibility is Robbie and Mrs. P 😲🤯

No matter what the outcome is, I think Miles has thought about it so much that he's mentally prepared for the worst but hoping for the best.

The ranch is a place of calm for Troy. In spite of everything that happened to him there with his brother, being there centers him. Whether or not he makes it his home permanently remains to be seen.
