Great start to the story. I do love some intrigue and am looking forward to what pans out. I just started a new job and have been up to my ears in new hire training, diversity included. It's mind boggling that you have to be tethered to a screen for x-number of minutes to be drilled on what should be good ol' common sense. Treat everyone with respect.. boom .. training done. Instead, I get my brain cells fried so badly, I took the highway to get home. It's in the opposite direction 🤦♀️. I was on the ramp with no turning back before I realized... oh shit! It added 10 minutes to my commute. Gah....

I think the list is growing. I'll get on it too. Lol.

Who knows what is there for us when we're gone? I do think that we all have an energy that belongs specifically to us. Maybe it was your dad's or tim's mum's energy just popping in to to say hi. Reminders of the loved ones we've lost can hit at the oddest times. Maybe one of them knew you needed to think of them.

Yeah.. I agree. When I used to take my mom to breakfast on Sundays she always wanted a chocolate muffin. She'd be bummed when they were out. It was cake. Chocolate cake, pure and simple but if a 80-something year old lady wants chocolate cake for breakfast ... she gets cake. Let's call it a muffin and let her be. Lol

I survived day one! This week is going to be mostly computer-based training. So in other words... eye strain and a tight neck. So far everything is good. It's nice to be working again. Involuntary unemployment is not good for one's mental health! Have a great day everyone!

Thanks Chris! Heading out the door in a few minutes!

Jeezus... you sure you weren't a nun in a past life. They always demanded meticulous notes. Tell you what... I'll trade you my work tales for your tikka masala recipe.

It's finally started to rain. About 5 hours later than today's hourly weather forecast predicted. New job starts on Monday. I'm looking forward to it! I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

You know you're not allowed to have a life. 50 lashes? Nah. You'd enjoy them too much. -

They do need to back off with the teasing comments. As the youngest and only girl, my brothers teased me mercilessly when I was a kid. Explains a lot about why I am like I am. Lol. I've learned to give it right back and more than one brother has gotten zinged over the years. I'm not sorry either. Dylan's therapist needs to work on giving him the tools to cope with these situations. Not everyone is able to grow thick skin, and many need help with dealing with people who insist on teasing. (Time for me to go hunt down a certain four-legged yapper to tease) -
Where's the fun in that? 😆 Thanks! It's a huge relief. Although I do have to pass the background check.

Sounds good... except for the fungus and green peppers. Lol. My go-to for homemade us usually fresh spinach and either chicken or ham. Sometimes grilled or caramelized onions too. Now I want pizza.

You've got more willpower than me! Enjoy Light at the the End of the Tunnel!

I don't associate with cat people. 🤣🤣🤣. I'll give a few bonus points for Alaska though. Also an extra point for wanting to visit their bestie and one for being a procrastinator. I have no clue.

So... good news. Yesterday I got a job offer and accepted. Being unemployed was getting tiresome, especially mentally. It can take a big toll. (But I had a brilliant friend to talk to 🩷) I'm in a much better mindset today. The job is still in property management but at an RV resort instead of a mobile home park. Hubs and I drove through yesterday and it's really nice. It's only a couple of years old and it looks new. It'll be different but I'm looking forward to learning new stuff. Best of all it pays waaaayyyyy better than my old job. (That's the important stuff lol) I hope everyone has a great day!

Did you forget that the only thing that makes me stop reading is when they off the dog? Don't tempt me.

More Colton, Some Dave, and a Conflict

Yeah... the Pastore men don't exactly have great track records when it comes to relationships. Also, can we please address the elephant I the room? Dylan's drinking is going to get his ass in trouble if he doesn't get his shit together. I think he needs to come clean with his therapist.- 36 comments
