No excitement in Syracuse...unless the Orange are playing great in football or basketball...other excitement in Syracuse...hmmm..waiting for lake effect snow. Syracuse is not that bad, really.

Tim Hortons couldn't make it in the land of Dunkin. They closed them in New England, but I think they bought the fourth best donut chain in New England. Dunkin is good, but there are more independent donut shops in New England. Had a bacon maple glazed donut one morning.

At this roadside shack, I had a HulaBurger. Angus/Kobe beef (all their burgers were Angus and Kobe beef), grilled pineapple, lettuce, tomato and a sauce made with pineapple juice. I gave Kipp a piece and we order him a junior version of it. Expensive roadside shack (open Mid April to Labor Day) but worth it.

Kipp loved being on vacation. His brother said they never been out of the Tampa Bay area. Kipp loved camping, especially on Grout Pond (a pond in the Green Mountains National Forest that had campsites). They loved having us take them. They thought they would stay home.

We were at a Vermont winery...good wines...

We had so many nice dinners on vacation. Kipp and his sister and brother never had some of meals they tried. Mostly, Kipp was trying some of the meals Dennis and I had. His brother, who is younger, was more adventurous, so was his sister. Jordan and Ash loves being on vacation.

I believe we saw him at The Ledges (a nude swimming area in Vermont). Can you describe him to see if he's yours! 😊

How did get a picture of Palmer? That is one of our cats around here. We found him at the top of a palm tree in our yard. He was stuck.

Val, true. There are nuts all over and as I told Tim, the Danes are some of the nicest people I've met.

So I knew morons were everywhere. And yes, people who are blowing buildings up (and shooting people) are morons. The Danes are some of the most civilized people on the planet. Did they catch the morons yet, Tim?

Our cats population grew by 6 during vacation. Yesterday, I found a mother kitten and 5 kittens in our shed.

In our (Dennis and me) boys scout troop, the running joke was: 'I got kicked out of scouting, for eating a brownie'. 😀

The weather was pleasant. Kipp and his brother and sister (our foster/adopted kids) never been to the Northeast. They couldn't believe the schools didn't have the nicknames like they have down here. For instance, a school here has the name (Webb Elementary) under it it says, The home of the spiders. Up in the Northeast, they just have the name of the school. The elementary schools in the Northeast don't have athletic teams. Does Michigan's school open after Labor Day?

That is one thing we miss about the Northeast, the weather. The lake that we went to was ice cold, but it was relaxing for a swim. Especially when Kipp and Jordan decided not to wear swimsuits.
