  1. Dave and Trevor might have more to come at some point. 😇
  2. The Natural Progression of Bathhouse Convention Slightly out of breath, I wrapped my towel back around my waist. It was hot in the steam room, which was part of the reason I was winded. The other reason was the blowjob I’d just received. The bestower of said fellatio pulled himself up from his kneeling position and rejoined me on the bench. He smiled at me coyly, a sense of reserve in his expression. “First time?” I asked, ensuring the towel was firmly in place. His smile dropped
  3. In his late 30s, Dave has reached a point of mundane existence. As far as his sex life is concerned, it consists solely of random hookups at the bathhouse. On one of his regular visits he meets a younger man, a newcomer to the scene. This brief encounter causes Dave to reevaluate who he is, what he wants, and where he's going.
  4. You’re definitely on to something!
  5. Oh, there's a lot more to Elsior than meets the eye, that's for sure. Let's just say you're quite warm.
  6. Broadswords Chapter Thirteen The Gatherer Birten awoke with a start. The snapping of twigs nearby told him that they were not alone in the forest. Sitting upright, he called Daegon's name in a loud whisper. The dragonslayer grunted and rolled onto his side, but did not wake up. The sounds continued, including the rustling of leaves and what sounded like whistling. Birten brought himself into a crouching position and held the trunk of a nearby tree to steady himself. After the
  7. No, as of right now the prince hasn't really had any real interactions with Elan. He knows who he is of course, and would have potentially spoken to him at past royal feasts, but I can safely say that Harmon and Elan have no correlation to one another as of now.
  8. I’m really enjoying giving each of these characters their individual chapters so we can delve a little deeper into each of their personalities. I feel like each of them has their positive qualities, but they’ve all got negative ones too. Even Elan, who at this point is probably the one we know the least about, does have more to offer than what he lets others see.
  9. Thanks! Elsior is going to be a rather interesting character. Once he appears, you’ll get some answers!
  10. There is definitely something afoot! While Daegon doesn’t always seem to appreciate Birten, it’s undeniable that he wouldn’t have made it this far without him.
  11. They do usually tend to be hiding something, I think. 😏
  12. Broadswords Chapter Twelve The Peddler It had begun raining the night before, and the skies continued shedding a light mist well into the next morning. Elan found these the best days to visit the marketplace. Though it was a gentle rainfall, many townsfolk stayed indoors as they didn't enjoy getting wet while shopping. For Elan, it created a more peaceful experience while browsing the stalls and shops. His status within the community often led to stares when he was in public, peop
  13. It was a hard decision for me, too. I really had to toy around with all the possibilities of how to end this story. I'm glad you felt a connection to the choice he made.
  14. Thank you very much! I’m glad I was able to convey a real issue.
  15. Thank you very much! I’m glad it was an enjoyable read! Don’t worry, there’s plenty more to come! 🤗
  16. I'm glad you enjoyed the characterizations. I really wanted to play with human realness in this story. While it would have been easy to make Tom the superhero, I felt it necessary to show that he's got his flaws too. He's a great person, but he's not necessarily very good at his job. The same with Jeff's decision. I legitimately put myself in his shoes before I decided on the ending. How would I have reacted in the same situation? I surely would have debated it as much as he did. I really could have ended it in several different ways, each just as realistic as the last.
  17. I agree. While there’s certainly plenty of room for growth regarding human rights in the business world, this is one area in which I think large strides are being made.
  18. I'm glad it evoked a strong reaction. I felt the same way while writing it. While I haven't personally experienced this in the workplace, we've all experienced some kind of prejudice at some point in our lives, whether it has to do with our sexuality or not. I tried to draw from that. I know that people do indeed go through this kind of thing, despite the fact that they may not always learn of the reasoning. I know that a lot of companies are striving for a more diverse work environment, and I wanted to showcase that positive aspect of it, too.
  19. Thank you very much! To be completely honest with you, I toyed around with a few endings. I'm a huge fan of twist endings, or dark endings, but in this case I really felt like the route I took was the best way for Jeff's story to be resolved.
  20. Broadswords Chapter Eleven The Letters As he paced his room, Harmon imagined that the dragonslayer and squire must have reached their destination by now. It had been a full week since they'd made their departure. Though he himself had never made the journey, he'd discussed various travels made by some of the kingsmen that he felt closest to. He'd always enjoyed hearing their tales of adventure, and over time he'd pieced together that it typically took about seven days to reach Dorre.
  21. The Interview He fidgeted with his tie, nervously, glancing toward the door every so often. This was it. The big interview. He’d been in his current position for five years now, twice as long as anyone else in the department, and it was time for him to move up. He knew his role like the back of his hand. Hell, he was basically already manager. His actual boss, Tom, was about as knowledgeable as a kitchen tile. He loved Tom as a person, but as a supervisor he was almost worthless. Des
  22. Jeff Fletcher is perfect for the job: he's experienced, knowledgeable, and basically does his manager's duties as it is. He's stunned, however, when his interview is over in mere minutes. Initially unable to determine what caused his interview to go more poorly than expected, Jeff begins to realize that there's underlying issues at play. *Written in response to the July 2018 Newsletter Game: Pride Month Headline.
  23. Broadswords Chapter Ten The Swamplands Keeping Harmon an honest man, the journey to Dorre did indeed take the dragonslayer and his squire a full week. Though the prince had also referred to the distance as a short one, it was clear he meant only in a topographical sense. The terrain between Jhirdyr and Dorre, while short on a map, was rough and ragged and was the cause of the passage being so lengthy. In fact, it was early evening on their seventh day in before they approached the
  24. Broadswords Chapter Nine The Records A week had passed since Birten had revealed to Kep that he'd be on a quest for at least twice that amount of time, and Kep had taken it upon himself to use that time to brush up on the current dragonslaying statistics in the kingdom. While he had been quite honest when he'd told the squire that he found dragonslaying fascinating, he wasn't well rounded in things such as who all of the slayers were and some of their biggest achievements. Althoug
  25. There are a few that caught my eye, but I feared the same thing as you. I was semi-wary of this one as well, since it doesn't actually reference Pride in the headline, but I think it's a fascinating concept.
