    Linda and Tom wouldn't treat Chris as a project, but they would treat him like their child. I love you comment and seeing that what I wrote hit home emotionally is an amazing compliment. Thank you.

    @Greg I loved working on this chapter. Hehe The image of Jaycen getting up to get Levie's Snoopy doll was just too adorable in my head.

    @chris191070 I'm glad you liked Chris. I hoped I made his situation interesting and believable. I'm not that familiar with transgendered individuals and their unique mindset. I loved Linda and Tom not batting an eye at helping the traumatized teen. I felt that since they decided to stay, they needed to have a worthwhile purpose to keep them vital and relevant other than their grown boys. Like Jayce and Troy, they are forging another new path in life.

    Brandon opened his eyes, looked out the window at the darkness, then sat up, stretched, and yawned before shuffling into the bathroom.     @chris191070 I'm really enjoying the chance to expand on somethings that I either lost track of or didn't think about with the previous versions. Like the explanation of how Jaycen and Troy came to take on the responsibility of caring for Levie when their four parents weren't able to. It's always been a bit difficult to fully explain the situation in a way that didn't make Mark, Stacy, Lyle, or Ev'lynn seem like neglectful or absent parents when they werent. One pair was older and in poor health, the other pair were working hard to take advantage of the chance they'd been given to better themselves. However, being in that situation provided the reason why Levie formed a parent/child relationship with his older brothers.

    Yeah, that's the show. I've caught episodes on network TV over the years, and now, thanks to the internet and peacock, I'm watching the show in its entirety. So far I'm on the 12th or 13th season.

    @VBlew Greg, Brandon, and Levie are so much fun to work with. It's exciting seeing them discover new paths on their journey through these formative years where they truly get to spread their wings and make decisions for themselves.

    @Paladin Thanks, I hadn't intended to make the weekend a multi part chapter, it just organically happened that way. I find it very interesting, and love how it's added a stronger foundation to the story's structure and displayed the two families desire to get to know each other and blend together while maintaining their original beginnings.

    @Summerabbacat I'm having a lot of fun recreating Maddox, it's going outside my comfort zone and challenging me to figure out what his next move is as he escalates and becomes bolder. I've been watching a lot of L&O SVU. It's also intriguing that his fixation and obsession is evolving to include a physical attraction to Jaycen, and not just Troy.

    Maddox turned left onto a deserted, woefully neglected dirt road infested with potholes, barely wide enough for a mid-sized sedan to use.     Triton hasn't done anything to Maddox in this version. I did some tweaking and rearranging in this new version so that I can get more out of the characters and their interaction with each other.

    @Paladin Ahh, but they don't know there's a threat a as of right now. I decided to try and put some more distance between the dangers in this version maybe make it a bit longer.

    @Greg This was how I always saw the playful and loving relationship between Troy and Jaycen getting displayed, but didn't really have the chance to in the other versions. They really are a fun couple and have always been devoted to each other. I loved seeing Troy getting Jaycen all horned up, then leaving him hard and leaky. LOL

    @Summerabbacat, Troy did know he got knocked out, but he's not dwelling on it. He thinks it was just a tree branch that fell after hearing a gun shot, which is common to hear. And, as far as Maddox's whereabouts, there hasn't been time for anyone to check on that. He's not considered a threat, yet. Hehe I made a rhyme. Hehe

    @chris191070 when I stopped writing this morning, I was shocked to see the word count was over 2700, so I decided to make it a multi part chapter and had a good start for the next chapter. I loved how things unfolded and came together. Levie was so adorable, using his cuteness to get Brandon hired. LOL

    @SummerabbacatThis... Is... Freakin'... Awesome. I've never heard of him or this song before. It's such a cute song. His voice and the acoustic sound reminds me of Peter and Paul from Peter, Paul, and Mary. My Mom raised me on folk music, PP&M the most.
