December 24 - Christmas Eve
Mac Rountree commented on Mac Rountree's story chapter in December 24 - Christmas Eve
Job, The boys have it bad for each other. They will survive. Regarding music, I like the 16th century version. Both are great, though. Mac -
Job, Glad you love the story. I miss these guys. I am working on the outline for the next book. The Jackie Wilson song gets me out of my seat every time. I can't help dancing. Mac

Job, It is a very Episcoplian/Anglican hymn for Advent. Mac

Job, I listen to the Widor quite often. A few years ago I found myself at St. Paul's in London and a Sunday morning. The organist played it as a postlude. I stood under the dome and listened. Immensely pleasurable. Glad you like the story of the gang. Mac

Letting Go, Moving Forward
Mac Rountree commented on Mac Rountree's story chapter in Letting Go, Moving Forward
Columbus Guy, Thank you for feedback on how the order of the books is identified for readers. I will work to make that happen. The Native spirituality in the lives of Yonatan and Matan is very important for their wellbeing and future. There is a temporary abeyance of this in the story. The guys had too many influences/choices in their lives and had to parse their Christian/Jewish/Native belief systems. At the very end of the camp weekend, when they were separating themselves from the Order of the Arrow, they named Lester as Shiloh. This is central to who they are, particularly to Yonatan. The Native spirituality will remain a part of their lives moving forward. They needed to catch their breaths. Secret societies thrive on the truth/rumor construct. It makes them more enticing to some people. "Protocols..."is still an active organization that is involved in the anti-Semitism in the world. Your comments will help me shape Book 3. Thank you for reading the books. Mac -
Hi Columbus Guy, Pate and TImmy are found in the story, "Keep Me as an Apple of Your Eye" as secondary characters. This spring I will start posting part 2 of their story. I have a lot of the chapters completed. I am so pleased that you want to know more of their lives. They are nice guys. Thanks for readng. Mac

Monday, January 6 Epiphany Almighty God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life. Book of Common Prayer 1789 Abraham and Rachel had arrived in Richmond on the afternoon of January 5th for the Twelfth Night party. There was much singing and merriment. They knew their lives would change significantly with their sons marrying into such a socially well-connected family in Virgi

Sunday, January 5 Twelfth Night On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me twelve drummer’s drumming. from “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” The twelve drummers represent the twelve points of The Apostle’s Creed. The boys arrived at the house in Windsor Farms early that morning. It had been a long night and they were tired. Todd was glad that school was starting because that meant they wouldn’t be making the trip back between Richmond and Williams

Saturday, January 4 11th Day of Christmas On the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me eleven pipers piping. from “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” The eleven pipers piping represent the eleven faithful disciples. “We had an incredible time. Being at the apartment in Brussels felt like home. How does something so different feel so right?” Matan was practically bouncing in his chair as he recounted their time in Europe. “I can hardly wai

January 1 - New Year's Day
Mac Rountree commented on Mac Rountree's story chapter in January 1 - New Year's Day
Ibex, Recusal is in order for probably both of them. They have some tough decisions to make about their careers if they are going to be on opposing sides. Of course, Eron is questioning whether he will be able to continue as an attorney. I know the answer is yes but he doesn't know that yet. He is fortunate that the after effects are so minimal. Four years ago, I stood on the platform watching the helicopter lift off and fly my partner to a trauma center. I never want to live that day again in my life. After two months he was able to return to the practice of law. Mac -

Ibex, Peace, love, joy and fulfillment in the new year!! Mac -
Ibex, I share your tears, brother. I continue to mourn after all of these years. We must continue to live and live abundantly for ourselves and for them. I have sung the "Cantique" many times and each and every time I choked up with emotion. I am thankful for the gift of music that Faure gave us. Blessings, Mac

Brokenbind, Thank you for remembering they need "Todd and Erick" time. This basic need continues to elude them. Their Saturday calendar is free until the evening. Erick gets to sleep in. Then it is full steam ahead through Monday and they return to University on Tuesday. So, the holidays have proved to be a non-stop series of events that has left them no time just for themselves. They have been nurtured and grown as a couple through this tumultuous time. Thank you for being a reader who sends thoughts and comments. Mac

IBEX, I love the Barber "Agnus Dei." The classical station just played his "Adagio for Strings." Stunning, somber and profound. Thank you for sharing the link. Mac

Ibex, Thanks for the link to the video. I am dancing around my office while listening to the music. Mac
