    Chapter 9

Sunday morning, Neil caught his mother getting ready to go to church. He had carefully waited until his father wasn’t around. “Mum, I wanted to let you know that I’ve applied for, and gotten, a job for the school holidays.” Mrs. Rosewood gave Neil a quizzical look. “When did this happen?” “I was told I got the job on Saturday while I was out. It’s at a sports store in Lilydale, so I can catch the train there each day. It’ll be good money.” “I don’t know, Neil. We really want you to concentra
  2. Oh, wow... This is one of those times I wish I could 'like' something more than once. In this case, 26 times, one for each of the stories in that link

    Epilogue

I've considered a sequel to show the next season up at the snow, but I've never come up with a story line that would do the original story justice. As for coming out to his parents, well...Greg does like to procrastinate

    Chapter 10

Greg was ready to tell Paul and Chris up at the snow, so it's not really a surprise he came out to them so easily. Doing so to others may take a little longer....

    Chapter 9

Thank you Greg's rather cautious in some areas. He needed to be reasonably sure before he said anything.

    Chapter 8

True But given Greg's past habits, how is he going to react to those two surprises?

    Chapter 7

You must've missed the second last link in the chapter, the one to give Chris's thoughts. It summarises what happened while Greg was out of the room.

    Chapter 6

Despite keeping a secret, Greg's not particularly subtle. He shows his emotions fairly openly...apart from that one area.

    Chapter 5

Ah...I like Kelly. She's rough around the edges (and pretty much in between, too), but she's not doing it because she's cruel.

    Chapter 4

Diane was hurt. From her perspective, she has to wonder if Rob is the right guy for her, and that's not something she had been expecting to face.

    Chapter 3

The drink and the wet jocks competition are both events that occurred the week I learnt to ski at Falls Creek....

    Chapter 2

Diane did have justification for what she was doing, but that doesn't mean that Greg appreciated it

    Chapter 1

Thank you I have noticed that closeted gay guys don't always act rationally, but I suppose they have their reasons...

    Chapter 8

Deon's spent nine years hating his father. It's going to take him time to get over that. As for Neil, yes, it's unfortunately not too uncommon

    Chapter 8

Deon and Neil both have to overcome some internal hurdles before things will change. How they do so, if they do at all, remains to be seen. Deon's been given a kick up the backside by a few people. Hopefully, it'll sink in.

    Chapter 8

Very true. There's progress, but only in that some of the air has been cleared. Opinions haven't changed.... As for Jackie, there's a saying I like: there are no minor characters -- only characters with minor parts

    Chapter 8

Charlie returned from the huddle at the close of the third quarter and, as he’d done all game, sat down next to Dave at the end of the interchange bench. They didn’t say anything to each other; at the start of the match, when Dave had taken the seat furthest from everyone else, Charlie realised that Dave was trying to distance himself from the team. Charlie knew his injury wasn’t all Dave’s fault, so he sat next to him to show his support. It was a good game from the Leopards’ point of view. Th

    Chapter 7

Unfortunately, many things don't work out the way we imagine/hope. It's a reflection on a person's character as to how they deal with that situation.

    Chapter 7

Thank you! I think I'll be safe in saying that I hope the story continues to stay interesting.

    Chapter 7

There's lots of things starting in this chapter. Sam and Marcus being introduced to people, Neil starting to meet more people, Clarissa starting her new mission.... Of course, Neil's plans for working with Jim are, as we know, going to fail, but he doesn't know that.

    Chapter 7

Todd grinned as he stepped through the door and gave his girlfriend a kiss. Her home still had that faint citrus smell from the air freshener she used to hide the less-than-pristine nature of the rented house. “You’re early.” Lorraine frowned slightly. “Is there something wrong?” Todd chuckled as he wrapped his arms around her, lifted her off the ground, and spun around once. “No, nothing’s wrong. I didn’t see any point sitting around at home when I could be here with you, instead.” Putting L

    Chapter 6

Actually, gay bullies aren't uncommon, but they're usually closeted. Doug, however, is fairly unique in being a gay-friendly bully....

    Chapter 6

You're probably right about Jim not wanting a 17 year old boyfriend, but it's not outside the scopes of possibilities, so Neil's still got hope. And don't forget, as per the scene at the restaurant, Neil sees Jim as the one to save him. Jim's his knight in shining armour
