Hey you have created a narrative that is filled with more true to life characters than many other pieces. You create characters that we truly can identify and empathize with. Think that is why when you start to focus on newer characters we feel the list of those that we saw grow. Yes, still truly miss you using Kevin & Vinnie, Graham, Andrew and Jessie on a more regular basis. Would love that you do a short novel focusing on the three teachers (Graham, Sammy and Andrew) and their successes and struggles. Question, in your past, were you (like Josh and so many of the boys) an educator? You do have a feel for the profession. I guess, myself being a recently (just about to have my second Sept out of the Classroom) teacher, I so connect to your story educators. And being mostly, during my 30 years in the classroom, a Grade 7 or Grade 7/8 Spec Ed teacher in Toronto - has made those moments - such as Cole's struggles or the arcs involving Andrew and Jessie more touching. Hoping that in the rest of book three, that Jessie does take a bigger role. And another thought, it could be interesting to have a son, of one of Danny's friends from before he came to live with Josh, find themselves a castaway. Could be a good chance to explore how Danny sees his past, deal with some old wounds and have a new son that links back to his old life. Some interesting dynamics, especially if said child is the T in LGBT - the once group of children still facing the brunt of harrasment. And would need the love of the Hotel more than anyone. Keep up the great work. Truly appreciated Jim

Can see and hear, in my imagination, most of those tribute clips you mentioned. Thanks. So Josh was born Aug 18, 1950, eh. He opened The Castaway Hotel in, I believe Apr of 1998. With Danny being born in May of 1984. Jessie was born in Aug 1993 and joined the family in the Spring of 2002. Elliot was born in 1996, and became a member in the Fall of 2009. Finally, Joshie's was born Sept 2005. Hopefully, my dated are correct?

Thanks, glad Maggie is now their with the other loved ones watching over the well being of the Hotel, and approves of Josh and Jake.

In your own head does she have a name?

You were very successful. An extremely moving passage. -
Question, You never have, I believe revealed Josh's wife's name. Do you have one and is their a reason for this?

Enjoying going back to when each character enters the family, and seeing were they started to where they are now. Quite a journey.

Cole our stoic and Graham our mystery join the castaways. Graham quickly become one of my favorite in the cast. That two that had so little could grow to be such fine adults. Aunt Sally is right about Josh. -

Chapter 2 - The Adjustment Period

Yes, Andy, Ricky is a little imp. I think he also turns out to be just about everyone's favorite character. Ricky is one of your most endearing characters, right through all the years. Thanks for creating the little imp😉 -
So Pat's marriage is next. Hopefully, that is not the conclusion of this book, but just a major milestone. So many question, so many relationships to watch grow.

An other solid chapter. It is nice that you tied up a number of minor dangling plot threads. Hoping, that once each of the 4 older group a( Elliot, Ian, Ryan and Owen) are off on to their next stages, that we will see a bit more focus on Joshie's and Benny's relationship. Question, how long on average does it take you to plan and write a chapter. Secondly, I suggested a while back of doing a book from Trey's perspective. A few follow up thoughts. It has been a while since you explored LGBTQ school experiences. How have things changed/not changed in the years since Nick, Dion and the rest formed the Gay/Straight alliance? By the time book three is finished, we will start to see a large number of Currie boys again start to enter into high school.

I don't think any here would object to longer books, but we are just here to enjoy your journey of the story of this remarkable family.

Glad I found this site, after so many years of reading you at Nifty. Appoligies if I'm asking too too many questions 😉. So one more (well for now - why did you have to build such interesting and deep characters and relationships?) Okay, here goes, what is the status of Joshie's and Wyatt's bio-mothers? They were important in book one and two, but we haven't heard about them this book.
-
Again, an enjoyable chapter.
-
Morning, just a quick question. What is the Status of Danny's Bio Mother? Same to a degree about Cole and Graham's, as well as Jessie's? Awaiting the next chapter?
-
Thanks for your efforts. I wonder how Owen feels about Ryan's wandering eye? Is he feeling like Kevin did, long ago about Dusty, or Like Trey when Dion was figuring things out? Or is he more like Shannon, accepting it akin to how he had to do about Nick? Or is it just as Casual as it was with Nick? Love to know what is going on in his mind. Also, outside of sex, how close are Ryan and Owen? Would love to see some of these addressed in story. BTW, how are Joshie and Benny's relationship? Is it any more than just mutual relef? Been a while since you spent time on where their heads are at. What is the developing sexuality of each? Again, hope to soon see you touch on that in-story. BTW, more hoping you go towards a Noah/Holly pairing - but what complications when/if the sibling are adopted. Or perhaps that ends up why she says no to both...

Trey and Danny have quite different personalities, backgrounds, experiences and relationships. Danny and Brandon were seriously committed since almost day one, while Trey had to deal with Dion's Bisexual explorations. Also, this couples path to Parenthood is quite different, as well as, which of the brothers living away that they were close to. Now caught 100% up to date - so, again many thanks for giving us this wonderful family, to be with, through thick and thin, for so many years. 🍻

So, when are the boys going to start calling Becky, Aunt Becky? Always thought this was a a kewl element of the books. And Perhaps also have the boys refer to Julie this way as well, sure that Holly and the twins would treasure that their brothers so honour their mom.
-
Bill, likely your strongest trait as an author is giving authentic emotional moments. When the Twins and Holly's mother passed it will likely rank up there with Cody's passing as one of your strongest passages. Both looking and not looking forward to it. Would love to see soon a longer sit down passage to get to know and see Holly's take on the family.
