I just realized about 11 chapters have been released on AD since the last chapter on GA. That’s almost 3 months ago since we last heard from LB. I certainly cheer him on meeting someone and enjoying each others company, but coming up for air is healthy too.
-
I don’t mind reading the story on AD, but I do miss all the comments and the ability to comment. I too wish we would hear something soon from LB if for no other reason than for all of us to know he is well. Also with his absence here, it makes me wonder how far back we now wait on other stories that we nearing completion.

Self-Hatred....Yes Please
BayAreaSooner commented on Jason Rimbaud's story chapter in Self-Hatred....Yes Please
I just started reading this story 2 todays ago and I'm craving so much more. Well written and compelling. I hope part explores more with Billy & Dylan but we also need to see how Brandon & Tylers relationship shakes out during their senior year. Will Tyler pass Calc with an "A" and pull his GPA up (ok with this one I'm not at all happy with dear old dad...3.5 GPA is damned good and parents should support him with college regardless), what happens with Ryan, does Marcus cave into the busty young lady (love Marcus by the way), and so much more to answer. Can't wait for the release of part 2. -
Is this story on hold?

Meeting the Parents
BayAreaSooner commented on LittleBuddhaTW's story chapter in Meeting the Parents
Miguel is really starting to impress me. I would have loved to hear dear old dad’s thoughts and/or discussions with Juan Carlos after that dinner. Miquel was passionate and sharp. -
It’s sad to me that everyone around Hunter sees that he is not himself. Everyone but the adults who are supposed to be looking after him and guiding him. But a big part of Hunter’s disappearance is because of these “caring” adults. I hope they open their eyes to the turmoil they are helping to create in Hunter.

Freedom Comes With a Cost
BayAreaSooner commented on LittleBuddhaTW's story chapter in Freedom Comes With a Cost
I’m behind on my reading and just finished the newest chapter today (Monday). I was reading about the cheese in hot chocolate and was actually disgusted. I love hot chocolate and queso is my absolute favorite on all my Tex-Mex, but the 2 together is an absolute no-no. So on a personal side, I am very curious….you may or may not have mentioned in your writings…are you from the U.S. and now living in Columbia? I’ve only been to Cartagena and absolutely loved it there. Beautiful city and what I saw, beautiful country. I thought it may be a coincidence that you met someone new while writing a story based on the city you now life in. BUT, I’m not a big believer in coincidence, so maybe just maybe this was your fate to live out. -
Truth, Dare, and Consequences
BayAreaSooner commented on LittleBuddhaTW's story chapter in Truth, Dare, and Consequences
I was thinking about the "Blood Brothers" oath they all took. Yeison states "If you go first, I'll follow". Yeison isn't looking for someone better or has Hunter as a placeholder. Yeison is (well was) committed to Hunter just like he committed to the blood oath. Within a few hours the whole ceremony Hunter orchestrated was blown up. If Yeison continues to date Hunter, does that push Carlos from the group? If Hunter demonstrates that he wants Carlos to stay in the group, does that drive a wedge between himself and Yeison. Seems like everything I'm reading over that last few days just leaves me irritated with how these characters are behaving. DRAMA. -

Congrats and I wish you well with this new young man in your life. What a fantastic way to start 2026! Now that he is gone, I'm gonna crack my imaginary whip to get you busy😂. We definitely need more of this story and of course, I along with I'm sure a flock of others, anxiously await the next installment of "Swinging For The Fences". You are really an amazing writer, thank you very much for all your hard work. -
Wow, so close yet so far…I lived in Big D, just off of sissy springs until 2000 when I moved to San Francisco Bay Area. Sadly my husband retired forcing us to leave the beauty and great weather of California. Now I’m on the other side of the Metroplex in NW FTW (Saginaw). I know right where Lewisville HS is located too. I’m a die hard OU Sooner, graduated in 1987 and moved to Dallas at that time. I absolutely love this story and have been following for quite a while on Nifty. I do support Nifty but I prefer the GA platform simply because they make it so much more easy to chat with other readers and the author. Can’t wait to see what TJ does next…TJ reminds me of someone (self) with his smart-ass mouth and vocabulary of a sailor.

First, as always, Kudos Jonothan (One of these days my autocorrect is going to change your name spelling and I won't catch the attempt to correct). Your writing/story telling has always amazed me. My whole take away from this chapter is the last few paragraphs with the dialogue between Hutch and Corbin. I love that the friendship is still there. That both these men acknowledge what they have meant to the other. Corbin really needs to take to heart Hutch words, friendships like that can be broken when pushed too hard and I think Corbin's plans to support someone other than Hutch for chapter President just might be that breaking point. Is Corbin's hunger for short-term power within his senior year worth burning a friendship. It's easy to look from the outside and judge. Is not easy to tell someone who is barely legal drinking age what they are doing can have far more reaching and long-term consequences. The friendships made in college are some of the longest lasting you can have. You think that about high school friends, but for most those collegiate bonds are the strongest.

My personal vote is that the story should go on for as long as I want it to.(as in me, not Jon without an "H", sidebar, I get asked is my name with an "h" is short for Jonathon, strange) And "I" want it to go on for much much much longer. However, I want part II of the trial NOW! I mean come on Jon its been 5 days, the wait is killing me.
-
I will just say again, because I can....team Mike all the way. I love that guy.
-
OMG...thank you. Now I don't feel so alone in blasting Corbin. Actually, I think I took it easy on him compared to your comments. But I was feeling a little guilty and thinking I had been too harsh. Corbin is just an absolute tornado and justifies everything to suit his needs. The cool thing is that Jon knows this is not a personal attack on him. How much of Corbin is really Jon, I hope one day we find out. I think that will be the real story to read.

I have to admit that I once was in that group that got aggravated at the unfinished stories. So I got a life HaHa. Sure, I prefer a finished story to one I'm waiting on, but I also realize Comicality as well as the numerous other authors have a life to live just like I do. I feel lucky we have someone who cares enough to write and share with us. We are not due anything, that attitude just doesn't fly.

Hey Jonathan, are you editing these chapters, is that why the remaining chapters are locked? Its interesting to read my own comments from 1.5 years ago. Honestly nothing to change. I would add that I think Corbin might regret his decision not to pursue a little bro. Over my fraternity career I had 5 and each and everyone are precious to me. Even after almost 40 years, those 5 guys are still very important in my life now. I do have other fraternity brothers that are an active part of my life, but the bond built all those years ago with the “littles” is what I look back on and remember the most. -
Chapter 40 (Part Two)
BayAreaSooner commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 40 (Part Two)
Thank you. 😪 That’s really all i can say. Anything else feels inadequate and hollow. What a joy though watching Zack come alive. I hate that its over, but relieved for Zack’s sake. -
Chapter 40 (Part One)
BayAreaSooner commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 40 (Part One)
Comsie, another great chapter. As much as I hate waiting between chapters, I find it totally depressing that there is only part 2 of this chapter left and then this story is over. That just sucks. Zach is a sweet kid and my heart latched onto him from beginning. I'm happy he found Brody. I really hope all the Zach's out there that are dealing with any type of childhood abuse have a Brody in their life. A Brody to be their hero, a Brody to make their life better. -
I won’t lie and say “well worth the wait” because I hate the waiting. But damn what a great chapter. Poor Zach is on such a wild roller coaster and Brody is his security or safety net on the ride. I felt so bad for Brody, he clearly knows Zach is up to something, something that is life altering and Zach gives him the credit. Credit for what? Brody doesn’t seem to handle this part so well and we can only hope that the courage he has given to Zach does indeed payoff. BUT, why do i have this nagging feeling that this Mr. Raffe character and his apparently lack of respect for Zach or at best indifference, will just ignore what Zach writes. Zach is putting all his marbles in play with someone who has shown him no respect. That is brave and truly a sincere cry for help.

How the hell I missed that chapter, I'll never figure out....must have had my head firmly lodged up my ass. Great chapter update on Richie....What are these weird issues going on with his cross-over? You better not make him weird or a copy of Alec...I'll hunt you down, Boys Town isn't that big Ha Ha!
-
Thanks Comsie, of course now I remember about Doc. I guess I need to go back and read the other chapter because no bell went off with your explanation about Richie. Can't wait til next chapter when he and Justin are reunited. That could go really bad or be such a huge uplift.
-
Ugh I stay so confused....I don't remember what Justin did to doc? Someone help me out. Also I asked about Richie last chapter or the one before and someone said he was mentioned a few chapters prior to my comment, led me to believe Richie was already awake. ugh I stay so confused!

Just let yourself into someone else's home without even bothering to knock. Nice friends the brat has.

My sister is 13 years older so I never had to grow up with a pesky sibling, if anything that is how my older brother considered me to be. I know I'm about ready to pound Sarah's face into the ground in a cat fight yelling "he's mine, mine, mine, now fuck off bitch"!
