Meeting the Parents
BayAreaSooner commented on LittleBuddhaTW's story chapter in Meeting the Parents
Miguel is really starting to impress me. I would have loved to hear dear old dad’s thoughts and/or discussions with Juan Carlos after that dinner. Miquel was passionate and sharp. -
It’s sad to me that everyone around Hunter sees that he is not himself. Everyone but the adults who are supposed to be looking after him and guiding him. But a big part of Hunter’s disappearance is because of these “caring” adults. I hope they open their eyes to the turmoil they are helping to create in Hunter.

Freedom Comes With a Cost
BayAreaSooner commented on LittleBuddhaTW's story chapter in Freedom Comes With a Cost
I’m behind on my reading and just finished the newest chapter today (Monday). I was reading about the cheese in hot chocolate and was actually disgusted. I love hot chocolate and queso is my absolute favorite on all my Tex-Mex, but the 2 together is an absolute no-no. So on a personal side, I am very curious….you may or may not have mentioned in your writings…are you from the U.S. and now living in Columbia? I’ve only been to Cartagena and absolutely loved it there. Beautiful city and what I saw, beautiful country. I thought it may be a coincidence that you met someone new while writing a story based on the city you now life in. BUT, I’m not a big believer in coincidence, so maybe just maybe this was your fate to live out. -
Truth, Dare, and Consequences

I was thinking about the "Blood Brothers" oath they all took. Yeison states "If you go first, I'll follow". Yeison isn't looking for someone better or has Hunter as a placeholder. Yeison is (well was) committed to Hunter just like he committed to the blood oath. Within a few hours the whole ceremony Hunter orchestrated was blown up. If Yeison continues to date Hunter, does that push Carlos from the group? If Hunter demonstrates that he wants Carlos to stay in the group, does that drive a wedge between himself and Yeison. Seems like everything I'm reading over that last few days just leaves me irritated with how these characters are behaving. DRAMA. -

Congrats and I wish you well with this new young man in your life. What a fantastic way to start 2026! Now that he is gone, I'm gonna crack my imaginary whip to get you busy😂. We definitely need more of this story and of course, I along with I'm sure a flock of others, anxiously await the next installment of "Swinging For The Fences". You are really an amazing writer, thank you very much for all your hard work. -
Wow, so close yet so far…I lived in Big D, just off of sissy springs until 2000 when I moved to San Francisco Bay Area. Sadly my husband retired forcing us to leave the beauty and great weather of California. Now I’m on the other side of the Metroplex in NW FTW (Saginaw). I know right where Lewisville HS is located too. I’m a die hard OU Sooner, graduated in 1987 and moved to Dallas at that time. I absolutely love this story and have been following for quite a while on Nifty. I do support Nifty but I prefer the GA platform simply because they make it so much more easy to chat with other readers and the author. Can’t wait to see what TJ does next…TJ reminds me of someone (self) with his smart-ass mouth and vocabulary of a sailor.

First, as always, Kudos Jonothan (One of these days my autocorrect is going to change your name spelling and I won't catch the attempt to correct). Your writing/story telling has always amazed me. My whole take away from this chapter is the last few paragraphs with the dialogue between Hutch and Corbin. I love that the friendship is still there. That both these men acknowledge what they have meant to the other. Corbin really needs to take to heart Hutch words, friendships like that can be broken when pushed too hard and I think Corbin's plans to support someone other than Hutch for chapter President just might be that breaking point. Is Corbin's hunger for short-term power within his senior year worth burning a friendship. It's easy to look from the outside and judge. Is not easy to tell someone who is barely legal drinking age what they are doing can have far more reaching and long-term consequences. The friendships made in college are some of the longest lasting you can have. You think that about high school friends, but for most those collegiate bonds are the strongest.

My personal vote is that the story should go on for as long as I want it to.(as in me, not Jon without an "H", sidebar, I get asked is my name with an "h" is short for Jonathon, strange) And "I" want it to go on for much much much longer. However, I want part II of the trial NOW! I mean come on Jon its been 5 days, the wait is killing me.

I will just say again, because I can....team Mike all the way. I love that guy.

OMG...thank you. Now I don't feel so alone in blasting Corbin. Actually, I think I took it easy on him compared to your comments. But I was feeling a little guilty and thinking I had been too harsh. Corbin is just an absolute tornado and justifies everything to suit his needs. The cool thing is that Jon knows this is not a personal attack on him. How much of Corbin is really Jon, I hope one day we find out. I think that will be the real story to read.

I have to admit that I once was in that group that got aggravated at the unfinished stories. So I got a life HaHa. Sure, I prefer a finished story to one I'm waiting on, but I also realize Comicality as well as the numerous other authors have a life to live just like I do. I feel lucky we have someone who cares enough to write and share with us. We are not due anything, that attitude just doesn't fly.

Hey Jonathan, are you editing these chapters, is that why the remaining chapters are locked? Its interesting to read my own comments from 1.5 years ago. Honestly nothing to change. I would add that I think Corbin might regret his decision not to pursue a little bro. Over my fraternity career I had 5 and each and everyone are precious to me. Even after almost 40 years, those 5 guys are still very important in my life now. I do have other fraternity brothers that are an active part of my life, but the bond built all those years ago with the “littles” is what I look back on and remember the most. -
Chapter 40 (Part Two)
BayAreaSooner commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 40 (Part Two)
Thank you. 😪 That’s really all i can say. Anything else feels inadequate and hollow. What a joy though watching Zack come alive. I hate that its over, but relieved for Zack’s sake.
