  1. Very nice work. The story held my interest from beginning to end, it left me entirely verklempt and bleary eyed. Mechanically, the writing was flawless, I would have liked to hear more about what the boy and the grandfather found emotionally attractive about their lovers. Perhaps the same trait... Perhaps the mother could have lain awake examining her bond with her own husband, perhaps admitting how right her father had been about him, perhaps examining the nature of her emotional bond with him... Perhaps I'm just wishful because I enjoyed the story so much that I wish it had been a tish longer.
  2. Bishop Desmond Tutu, who's one of the greatest minds in Africa, made a comment recently exactly like yours. He said that he couldn't imagine anyone choosing to be something which was so greatly discriminated against. Personally, I know that sexual orientation is probably a result of some biochemical imprinting on the reptilian brain gone slightly awry, which means that God did the choosing and God, supposedly, has a valid reason for everything she does. Nobody who believes that they can outguess God has any standing whatsoever in any religion. What's nuts about this is that probably, your Mother will come to treasure the relationship that you develop with her which could never have come about if you were heterosexual. "I have lots more fun with my gay son than my straight son," I've heard that so often. :2hands:
