  1. Taking another tack (excuse the pun) Maybe Ahab (who was a villain after all) is indicative of the Cartel and an injured Moby Dick is indicative of Atlantis and her crew...... That being said we all know what transpired in the Melville novel and hopefully it will follow suit in the C James epic
  2. I'm still hoping that they ride the eye to land and are able to seek shelter It would certainly add a great ending to Trevor and Shanes book Even with the ref to Melvilles novel it could still mean "emerging from the eye"
  3. Hmmm its ominous that Ahab's last quote in Moby dick was... "to the last I grapple with thee; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee" He was then dragged under by his nemesis, which later destroys all the whaling boats, crew and the Pequod. I'm sure CJ has a Whale of an ending planned... oooops!!
  4. Mike!! are you impying that CJ's dramas are all staged and scripted?? Can't imagine that....
  5. I think CJ mentions earlier in the forum that there is no way for the atlantis to exit the eye of the storm... I known that Dean made first landfall (it made two) at the Yucatan Peninsula on August 21st the quote from wiki says: "Upon reaching Mexico, Hurricane Dean was a Category 5 storm, but it missed major population centers and its exceptional Category 5 strength landfall caused no deaths and less damage than in the Caribbean islands it passed as a Category 2 storm." It seems to me that Trevor has tried as much as is possible to attain the fastest speed to remain in the eye. If this can be maintained (following the course of the storm) and they reach land while still travelling at the western edge of the eye, it would surely give them time to leave Atlantis and seek shelter inland a ways before the eastern edge of the eye arrived.. Just a thought
  6. I think waiting 23 years to see the end of WOT beats that... and a pleasure it was
  7. Sorry if I gave the impression of impatience to you Far from it... to be honest... This story has been so good, I think that anyone would be prepared to wait as long as needed to see the conclusion... No more comments from me
  8. Four weeks on Wednesday 17th actually but who's counting...
  9. Looks like a "Cliffhanger theory of relativity" to me
  10. playing with semantics I certainly wasn't talking about "precarious" I was talking about "CLIFFHANGER"
  11. Quote from wiki: A cliffhanger or cliffhanger ending is a plot device in fiction which features a main character in a precarious or difficult dilemma,(Like perhaps facing a cat 5 hurricane in a critically damaged boat with seemingly no chance of rescue or escape) or confronted with a shocking revelation at the end of an episode of serialized fiction. A cliffhanger is hoped to ensure the audience will return to see how the characters resolve the dilemma. All I can say is if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck waddles like a duck.... Is it a goat??
  12. Cautiously avoiding the Life and limb drama unfolding I must say that Finally reaching the First part of the ending... Hopefully the boys And Joel and Lisa survive the Night and Gain the safety of land Everything seems to have gone wrong and Really it's all a bit tense
  13. All jokes aside congrats on the "EVIL" Bridget award...... Well Done!!
  14. Did the goat get his award from someone famous???........ http://www.freakingnews.com/Men-Who-Award-Goats-Pics-111764.asp OMYGOLLY he did!!!
  15. CJ did say that the chapter would be late
  16. Another thought on this is that Dean passed about 60 miles south of Jamaica and it looks like the prevailing winds were east north east. So maybe some shelter would be available to Atlantis on the western side of Portland Point in say Carlisle Bay but even that would be a long shot as Dean was a cat 4 hurricane(I know it reached cat 5 but it was only 4 when passing Jamaica) with winds over 100 miles an hour... At least heading back that way after picking up Joel and Lisa they would only have two boats to deal with rather than the armada that Bridget has in the West The 30-06 would certainly come in handy then.....
  17. Like CJ mentioned to me benji that is still an escape... I agree though that Bridget would be very very vunerable if the rest of the cartel were destroyed or at least all those on her side. they all seem to have a pretty low opinion of the "Bruja" I betcha CJ has a great surprise ending that will turn every thing upsidedown :vic:
  18. Lucky it was only speculation then...... If there's no escape... then there can only be one other possibility for an ending that sees Trevor et al, able to survive Bridgets seemingly invincible force.... Of course that involves the whole cartel being wiped out Luckily, Bridget has arranged for all the important players to be present All those speed boats involved in a chase maybe and led into the path of one of the most powerful phenomenons on the planet. :chris: Trevor has been very clever at arranging ruses that have fooled Bridgets minions into believing that he has headed one way, when he has not The reason that the whole cartel has to be annihilated is that if any "heads" are left with knowledge of Trevor etc then they(Trevor and Shane) would of course still be in danger of a hit for the rest of their lives....
  19. I'm sort of wondering if the prologue to the story contains clues to the end of the story... It has a vessel named Atlantis arcing out into the sky on twin columns or fire on a day with Thunder, escaping.... the earth. It also contains the supposed death of a major character and her subsequent funeral, all faked of course. All very sad and believable... Wouldn't Trevor and Shane be released from the death sentence if they were already dead? Hurricane Dean could provide just the circumstances for all four protagonists to "die" I believe that even with Bridgets death (and let's hope it's a gruesome one) that the contract would remain on Trevor and Shanes life. Just a thought...
  20. Sometimes a delay can be a good thing.... This one has given me another chance to go over Arnolds message on the tape one more time... Bridget has lots of machinations going on at the moment in the story regarding the destruction of the "other" cartels and she is a stickler for having "all" the information to defeat her foes... But the message on the tape brings this assumption into a different light.. Quote: "They are in the same business, so they know the operations and practices of their rivals better than law enforcement agencies could ever hope to.” Relying on his years in the courtroom, Arnold stared right into the camera as he delivered this, his sole lie on the tape." Maybe Arnold knows a lot more about the cartels rivals than Bridget thinks she does... And just maybe this assumption of hers about superiority is just that.. An assumption and quite possibly a very fatal one at that... Lets hope so! cheers
  21. Bridgets other plans obviously involve Haiti..... Quote: "He’d been in Haiti for several days, overseeing the preparations there." As for the wedding at the other location CJ was very specific in the wording of who was there... Quote: "The three FBI agents, posted at the room’s three entrances, stood guard. They were the only law enforcement officials of any kind within miles" I wonder if the military or others than Law Enforcement are in attendance at the other location??? Bridget has arranged a special "Gift" for the happy couple (Maybe a Honeymoon in Jamaica??) Quote: "A wedding is a very special thing indeed, and I have always believed that it behooves one to put the greatest of care and thought into choosing a present for the happy couple.” Bridget shared a chuckle at her wit with the first amongst equals, raising her glass to his."
  22. I think you're not getting my meaning here Don't forget that Bridget has made very sure that the combatants are from "other" cartels and that they believe that they are still working for "other" cartels.... It's mentioned in the chapter.... It would certainly give the U.S. government a reason to wage a war on the "other" cartels if any of the combatants are captured. Solves all of Bridgets problems about a cartel war and leaves her free to "finish" the job on Trevor and Shane
