  1. Max confused me a little in this chapter. He was all over Perry, but then making Kyan and Perry take shots off each other? My best guess is that he is very attracted to Perry but saw the vibe between him and Kyan and was doing some recon? Was he bummed when he got dropped off at his brick mansion with more security than Buckingham Palace (I'm circling back to that btw)? Yes, but he's no dummy. He did his due-diligence and he knows where things stand and he knows he doesn't rank where he would like. It sucks, but I just don't believe Max would allow himself to be strung along. I think Jessica 100% knows how Perry feels about Kyan. I think she's known for a long time but Kyan was married to her sister and he was straight. I bet she's questioning things now lol. She's also walking a weird line between wanting Perry to get what he's wanted and doing what she can to help him but also protecting his heart because at this point, it could be a terrible idea to assume ANYTHING will happen between Kyan and Perry.
  2. I skated for 2.5 seconds in high school because of this guy. What a f*ing hottie. I already knew I was gay but he cemented it. He hasn't aged as well lol, but his show Life of Ryan was teen gay porn.
  3. This scene checks out. Hope to see it play out
  4. Kyan wanted to know Perry better? This is part of it. One more notch down even if it wasn't pretty. I understand Kyan's emotional reaction and I feel it will be a driving force behind him finally "seeing" Perry. Going to the club will be a tipping point for these two. They will not make it out of the pheromone invested waters unscathed.
  5. Max is smart. I feel like he will be quick to see what is happening. Will he be bummed? Impossible not to, but he seems the type to not just respect Kyan's blossoming feelings, but maybe even nudge him in the right direction. Would his parents add more drama? yes, but they can be influential in the story without being present. Example: His parents are absent, and because of that, Kyan has been an intentional father. He took the short comings of his parents and turned that around. For two parents to treat their kid like "eh" tells me it's likely they both were treated that way. That means Kyan is breaking the family cycle. It shows a lot of Kyan's character. The poor man has been through a lot, he does not need his parents shitting on him lol. I do worry how they will react when things finally pick up with Perry and Kyan... That could be an issue
  6. It doesn't seem like Kyan has all that much experience in the realm of dating? (Which explains so much and gives a picture of how things will go with Perry) I give him props for trying and for trying to fix Perry up while being low key about it. At the end of the day I think Kyan knows Perry isn't interested. “Whatever we do, it has to be organic. If Perry thinks it’s a setup, it will be an automatic no. He’s so weird about being set up." People who want to date are more than happy to be set up ESPECIALLY now and days when dating is harder and harder and more people are resorting to online dating. And as a gay man, I would definitely want my friends to throw those fish my way. It's such a small pool! Don't be coy about it. IF Perry was interested, he would have noticed Max because it doesn't sound like Max was holding much back. I wouldn't be surprised if Gracie knew how Max felt.
  7. Is this a hint that Perry is gay?? I want to know so much more about Perry's situation. I also wanted him to ravage Kyan but noooooooo.
  8. Perry had exactly zero chance. How do you say no to all that?
  9. Nice send off before bed. This was a good transition. Last chapter I was happy we were able to get a year into his grief, but this feels like real progress. If I'm completely honest...I was nervous we were going to spend a lot of time in this broken phase after Dayna's death. The fight with Perry felt authentic. Looks like they're getting past the honeymoon friend phase, or the grief is what's bring us together phase. I think they're digging into the guts of what is true and real friendship looks like. I also think it's very realistic that the kids aren't hung up on the loss of their mom like Kyan and Perry are. They were too young. I'm more excited to see how things progress. I won't lie-I was really excited when I found out they were sleeping in the same bed together and then very disappointed that that nothing sexual happened. Sooooooooooo close
  10. I couldn't help but wonder if Dayna's old friends are keeping their distance because it's easier for them or if Kyan has pushed everyone away and now they're trying to be respectful of the boundaries he's unintentionally set. Just imagine how much more support he would have...
  11. This added a layer of realism to the story. I agree, the thoughts noted next to each state were honest and real. Life is never an easy check list.
  12. That long??????? Is there anyway to get it posted faster???
  13. Perry knows Kyan.
  14. Proof that you are working your magic with Kyan and Perry:
  15. So many great comments for a really phenomenal chapter. I couldn't agree more with the following statement from another member. You've written a lot of really great chapters but this one stands out. You capture the cycle of grieving so well. I felt Kyan's loss, the pressure he felt to be a father (in a spectacular way btw), to walk into school and be on display for the world to see and to judge, feeling like he has to have life together, to feel like he CAN'T be weak, and then to have it fall apart. And while this is all happening, you're carefully working your magic in the background. I feel like there are a few little nuggets setting things up with Perry. I actually have no doubt that Perry will be more then a friend but I cannot figure out how you will make this happen. It's a very delicate situation. I'm surprisingly nervous about it because there is a lot of potential for things to go sideways. And also, as far as we know, Kyan is definitely straight..
  16. If and only IF you've read Boss Nanny and Jay's Loelife, then you need to start this immediately. MrsGnomie wraps everything up in a perfect bow, but only if a perfect bow includes things you never imagined. This continuation gave me everything I hoped for and everything I never knew I needed. On top of that, she's left us gagging for her next story.

Perfectly done. As much as I didn't want this story to end and as much as I want to read more, you did a really great job on this. This chapter was everything I wanted and everything I didn't know I needed. The face bunch during half time was a bit much as most of us have to work today. This was all I ever wanted.
